Very, very good! I love what you made with the art direction, translating those Atari-like sprites really well into the modern age. Getting runes is really rare tho and the fact that all of them are random makes it pretty much hard to make a competent build. You guys already made a pick rune, imo that should have been the standard. All in all tho, a massive success

We definitely designed the barrier of entry way too high, and ironically, the late game way too low lmao. Thanks for the feedback!

Oof yeah. Sry about the UI, more communication with animations or smth could have helped a lot more.

No, it's not just you, many people have problems with the difficulty here. The Problem is that we don't communicate clearly enough what Items are good and which are not. Maybe a rarity system could be helpful?

Yeah, haha, the difficulty curve is really rough, sorry for that! Some Upgrades are really strong that we basically balanced the game around them, which we probably shouldn't have done. Thanks for your kind words!

I cannot believe how unbelievably fun this was. Perfect Velocity, Perfect Level Design, Perfect Voice Acting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). The textures sliding in choppily made me a bit nauseous lmao

I just read the blog post and just wanted to say: I'm sorry for the hardships you went through and your motivational loss. Still, you made something cool here. You learned a lot, and you thought a lot, which will come in handy for your eventual next project. I really want to emphasize: Design your base game first. You came in with so many Ideas on the first day, it was kinda frightening to read them. I know being excited about something is nice, but it hurts a lot more when you can't accomplish those features. Trust me, I have been there too. But I see that you are talented, and I really hope your next project can give you a little more joy :)

I love this silly idea. In the last level getting that 3 ricochets on that tree was really hard but good! For more complex level Design this game could have totally profited with a trace line, like in angry birds for example.

10/10 Intro would cry again

Fix is up :D

Also thank you so much to play that game really thoroughly, that means a lot.

Also, as a part of our fault, there is a merge mechanic where you can upgrade your runes making them way better. Maybe the difficulty is now more manageable! Gonna add that to the Description...

Really cute! The Art in itself looks really good, sadly it has been implemented a bit choppily into the game itself. Like tiles that are not properly connecting.

This was cool. It was a bit silly tho that when I zoomed out my orb got instantly captured lmao

(1 edit)

The game is SLICK. But it also has the jank. Moving upwards rooms are basically just a death sentence

cute game. The delay editing the pipes should be cut tho

Kind of sad that you cant relay to everyone. But thats the point of it all, trying to choose who you can help and who you can't. Really well made. Seeing something that was made outside of the typical game engine and more in html was a treat!

The Art is really good! Getting thrown completely at the beginning when you loose is kind of frustrating tho.

This is probably the best one I've played yet. The connection idea is implemented really well, the level design is unique in each one, and the difficulty is satisfying to go through. The swordfishes are a bit frustrating, though. I know you worked with 2 hitboxes there, but maybe some vector calculations would be better there. ALSO, HOW DID YOU HAVE THE SCOPE TO ADD ANOTHER GAME INTO THIS!?! The funny bone section was way too long tho. All in all very good.

P.S. Yemmep is love, yemmep is life

If Jimmy the Miner 5 is so good? Why isnt there Jimmy the Miner 5 2?

I love that this game lives of that Yoshi sacrifice meme. Really cute game overall. Finished it without any inconvenience :3

Thank you! And sorry for your frustration... A tutorial was sadly not in scope anymore

You are totally an excellent programmer! While the idea is really simple, you tried to get everything you can out of it. Maybe working with other people can greatly increase the quality of your games.

Really interesting concept for the topic of breaking up with someone. The music is good but somehow doesn't really translate that well with the rhythm part. Also, adding a too-early check for the notes would greatly benefit the difficulty.

I love that you made this game with your kids! This is so unbelievably heartwarming! I didn't get that you could pick up the train track again at my first playthrough and thought this would be an incredibly hard puzzle, but after finding it out, my train still went to unknown places known to mankind until I managed to finally arrive at the train station.

Very cute artstyle! Only critisism is that it is hard to see what tile is now an obstacle and what isnt. Solution could be to add a slight line to the ground sprite next time!

Really really good! Gathering spaceships and just going trough the hell of the bullets is really satisfying! I feel like switching trough your spaceships instead of changing shape could have really added too the mechanical skill ceiling.

Also important for bullet hell games is that the bullets itself should be very noticeable. Try giving them a shader next time or make the background less detailed

The Art is so gooood! 3d modelling and the sprites! Good job guys!

I really like the vision here! I think the ability to jump made the game too cheesy tho.

Thanks, it was really relaxing and something I really needed for my mood
