Howdy!

I'm Joseph with JEEZ!, a game development group hard at work on a couple of games, and a group you might have seen on this forum before. As we enter the new year, we're seeking additional members to help fill out our team and give everyone a little more breathing room. The less work that is pinned on a single person the better! We're currently developing two ideas into competent demonstrations so they can be ready to pitch (be that to publishers or the public) but have a catalogue of demos already made (here is one of our demos)

We're looking for Programmers experienced with GameMaker or Unity,
and Artists/Animators that have some experience with Aseprite.

These projects will be unpaid
until a pitch is successfully accepted or otherwise funded, leading our team to utilize a deferred payment model akin to Revenue Share (RevShare). We understand if this is not something you're willing to take a risk with as we cannot promise with any certainty that these ideas will succeed/receive funding.

The ideas we're currently wanting to produce all have a "Board Game Adjacent" feel to them. Dice, Decks of Cards, Monopoly-likes... All with simplistic styles and undemanding gameplay loops that can be infinitely repeatable. If this sounds like the kind of team you want to be a part of please let us know here or reach out to me via: knowjoevideo@gmail.com so I can get you on board.

Howdy,

A few months ago I made a post here looking for team members and got in touch with some amazing people! I am hoping this can happen again. JEEZ! Games is mere months away from launching and we currently have two projects well into the works that are coming along amazingly! Both of these projects are limited by only having one programmer and one artist each and we'd love to expand our teams before launch. Currently we've made the most progress on a gambling roguelike game (Ante Chamber) comparable to Balatro but utilizing the scoring system of something like Farkle [GameMaker] [Aseprite]. Our other project is a property management party game (Welcome to Greed's Folly) akin to Monopoly and Fortune Street, but with a hint of Mario Party flair [Godot].  We also have a catalogue of Game Pitches & Design Documents for other ideas waiting to be jumped on.

(Idle Animation of a Slime Enemy for Ante Chamber designed by Radiocolors, one of our artists and animated by Toccuma, one of our programmers)

Both teams would be helped immensely by the addition of another programmer or artist (animator). Due to the nature of our startup, we'd only be able to offer Revenue Share Agreements or delayed compensation in the form of a lumpsum total, I understand if this is a red flag to most people, but please stand assured that JEEZ! intends to create as professional of an environment as possible during this infantile stage with it being able to blossom into a full fledged organization after launch. (In short, we're doing what we HAVE to do now so we can do what we WANT to do later)

If you're interested you can reply to this post or email me directly at: knowjoevideo@gmail.com

I will gladly take any questions regarding the group and its projects there, as well as show off what we've done so far.

Howdy! My apologies for not supplying contact info via the post. I'll update it shortly.

Howdy,

My team (a designated programmer with multiple releases on this platform and myself) is seeking a pixel artist for work on a singleplayer Dice-Game Roguelite that takes inspiration from games like Farkle and Balatro. Development is in an infantile state, with the aesthetic not being fully decided on yet. This being said, we're more than happy for this project to adopt your unique style!

We're aiming to start development on this project as soon as possible, but have set a soft start-time of Monday, the 24th. Please reach out before then if you're wanting to be a part of our journey! Here are some logistics to consider:

  • We have team members split between the states and overseas, so we will be working at times that might not be convenient for all time zones, but we're willing to work with you to make this project go as smoothly as it can for everyone involved.
  • We're currently operating on a low-to-none budget, with the intention of doing a revenue split for any profit obtained upon publication. We are open to altering this deal as the project progresses.
  • We're working in Gamemaker, this shouldn't effect your deliverables if you've never used it before, but if you have experience with this system please let us know!

Reach out to us here, via Discord @ knowjoevideo (preferred), or email me at knowjoevideo@gmail.com

Howdy,

I've been toying around with the concept of a dice-centric roguelite game that takes inspiration from games like Farkle and Balatro. While conceptually simple, I'm hoping to develop a game with a fun gameplay loop that promotes replayability via its challenges and features (e.g. Balatro's Jokers, Binding of Isaac's Items, etc.)

Optimally, the project would start unpaid, but I  intend on splitting any potential revenue with all involved parties. I am not against hiring help, however I am hoping for this project to act as a stepping-stone for creators that are willing to make a sacrifice (like I will be making to also work on this project) and potentially develop more games if this concept proves successful. Regardless, if you're interested let me know your availability and/or rates. If you have any concerns or questions regarding this project, please ask and I will respond as soon as I am able. I have a wide variety of other game concepts (casual and complex) so if you're looking for something else to get your feet wet with, reach out and I'll tell you about those ideas as well!
