When will the promotion winner be announced? All other results have been announced, but this one has not been announced yet.

this game sounds really good, but sadly both models don't load...

not really a fan of this game. it's really short and i did not understand what the code was, even after seeing the clue of the owl. i only got it after seeing the comment bellow.

i have a scratch account with over 3000 followers that i have shared a promotion project on: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1214084097/

Thanks! This was made in scratch, so i could not use any shaders. Its basically a bunch of gradient circles stacked onto each other. The pattern is just a bunch of sine waves.

Thanks! I know about that bug, but i have no idea what causes it or how to fix it. The background isn't perlin noise, it's just a bunch of sine waves stacked onto each other.

thanks! i'm currently working on an updated version which i will share on scratch, which will have a setting that will hopefully make the controls a bit easier. i'll also defintely add some polish.

thanks for the feedback! this game was actually fully created and tested on a laptop, so that shouldn't be the problem. i was still tweaking this games difficulty very late in development, so i might have made it a bit too hard. i'm currently working on a updated version which will have an easy difficulty.

once the jam ended and i refreshed the page, there where still 5 minutes left, why was that?

thanks! i did think of trying to rotate the camera, but that didn't really fit the game in my opinion.

i have asked Goedware if it was allowed, and it was, because they are still clearly circles.

hi! just like @CodesNorth, i also have a well-known scratch account (800K views, 2.5K followers.) i have created a scratch project to promote this jam: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1214084097/

it's in the rules that you can't mix shapes to create other complex shapes, but that rule is a bit vague to me, like, would something like this be allowed? the background rocks and crosshair do overlap and kinda create a different shape, but are also still clearly recognisable as circles.

how will the gift card be given to the winner? also, is there any legal minimum age to be able to win the gift card? (appart from itch.io's minimum age)

fun game! i like it how you can both pick an upgrade for yourself and the enemies, it's really fun and i have never really seen it anywhere before. i got 1056 on my first try.

ah, thank you for explaining!

(1 edit)

i don't think this was made for the jam. it's way too polished for a 4 day game and it was submitted in the first 2 minutes of this jam. i don't think it's possible to make this is 2 minutes. EDIT: it was made during the jam, look at the replies.

very creative and polished game. the low res 3D art looks really good. one complaint is that the music gets anoying.

very original idea. the only suggestion i have is to make the player invincible for a few seconds when you start to prevent the player from imediatly dying. if it's already in the game, then it should be a bit longer.

really good idea, but i think it would've been better if the time until it loops was shorter. the game feels really slow because of that. you should also make it so it imediatly loops after 1, it's counterintuitive that you still have to wait a second after now.

hi chicken

yes it is possible, it's hard, but definetly possible. i spent like 30 minutes nerfing him and he's still hard lol.

the wind blows the ball, watch out for the speed and direction of the wind.

the tittle basically says it. i have made these in the time limit for previous entries, but i want to know so i can save time in the future.

good game! a very creative take on the theme! it can be a bit anoying to not know where a portal leads you, but a bit of surprise can also be fun!

i'm not able to play this due to having a mousepad instead of a mouse. mousepad support would be appreciated.

ok, i have read your explanation on how this fits the theme, but i still think it doesn't really fit the theme.

pretty good! the art looks really good! this reminds me of Windowkill for some reason. i have no idea what this has to do with random travel destinations.

very good game! the gameplay is very fun and original,  i would love to see this expand into a bigger game!

the title basically says it, is a design doc required or is it optional?

cool game! i like the isometric 3D! but i think it would be better without outlines.

i somehow managed to do mine without extreme hurry or staying up until the middle of the night. this was my 3rd game jam, and my longest yet, 10 days is quite a lot of time for a game jam! i did have to cut some ideas, like an infinite mode, but my game is fun and playable, and that's the most important thing.

really good! i like it how to child has a different art style and colours then the rest of the game, making it feel like he doesn't belong in this world.

i'm done with my game! it's made in scratch.

if you can't find anyone, use music licenced under creative commons. i'm making a game solo and i'm doing that. works pretty well.

i'm using regular scratch, because i also want to share it on scratch. i use HTMLifier to turn it into HTML.  and yes, the only thing that holds you back on scratch is framerates. some people think scratch is a "baby language", while basically anything unity or godot can do can be done with scratch (at very low framerates)
