I just tested this myself and I'm not able to replicate. I took a look at the code, and it's just the default behavior for that location. The message occurs if you have someone in your party that hasn't escaped. I never set that particular variable in the mod, so I'm unsure how this could have happened in your particular case :P
You can try using this link to download a save file that I know works for me if you want to try that.
Thank you! I appreciate it :)
I know I definitely got the song from pixabay and I thought it was by Yulius2Tudio but now that I'm looking at his songs I can't find it! I rewrote the title of all the tracks for a more simplistic naming convention in the engine and I forgot to note their names... so sorry!
Ahh this entry won first place in the game jam! I'm so honored! Thank you all for your ratings and support everyone!
Also, I have heard your extremely numerous complaints about the parry hitting after the slowmo effect starts. Small new update fixes that!
I don't plan to update this game at any time in the near future. If someone would like to extend this game, you are more than welcome to do. It's coded in Godot 4.6.1. Just send me a message, but do note I do not give permission for anyone to sell this software for any amount of money.
Thank you!
Personally I love the delayed parry which forces you to be real precise with your timing and get it right at the start of the parry zone, but loud and clear! Apparently everyone except one person universally hates this fact haha.
I've already found an easy fix for this. When judging is over I'll patch the game with a change if anyone decides to visit it after the jam is over.
Yes, this has been a common complaint about the red rope parries. Personally, I love it. It makes each parry more... butt-clenching. Haha. But I can understand why it frustrates people! Perhaps my browser/internet/computer setup is somehow a bit more fluid and people are struggling in a way that I wasn't able to test for too!
Thank you for playing!
Thank you so much for the high praise! Yeah, it was definitely designed as a game jam game, nothing more. I imagine I could rework the narrative to add for more evergreen content but for what it is I'm definitely happy where it ended up :)
I do think with more polish there is a really good formula here. I'd be happy to send my code off to anyone to extend as I don't see myself coming back to this anytime soon :P
