Better than some of the 7 Day games! great job!
I appreciate that; thanks!
name of the game is funny. the platforming feels a bit awkward, especially whenever you have to use springs. you did successfully avoid the alluring trap of 'bondage = slow and annoying movement' though, kudos for that
Yeah, there is some weird behavior with the springs I couldn't quite completely figure out before I ran out of time.
aye, that's the peril of gamejams isn't it. run into problems with no solution available in the time >﹏<
I love the art style and ambience of this one, really don't have any major complaints outside of the enemy placement in the latter half. Probably something that might have helped somewhat were better ways to combat enemies (not the traps, those were fine). Didn't have to kill them, but stunning them I think would have helped with some of the level design.
I was really close to adding a spelunky-like whip to be able to knock enemies back but I just ran out of time... watchya gonna do :)
Hah, yeah, I can relate. lol
Whip idea would be cool tho.
I like the concept behind this a lot, my only complaints would be that the springs can be a bit funky to use consistently because of the two stage bounce height, and the density of enemies at the end of the game plus narrow corridor and aforementioned bouncy pads all together made it rather frustrating to get through as if felt like I wasn't really in control of the character, with one bad bounce an instant game over even from "full health" since there is no way to move enemies off of you. That last little bit aside, normal movement felt good, ambiance was good, well done :)
Thanks for the feedback; cheers
