The game loads to a black screen then crashes. I think it does so when the LC Games logo is supposed to appear.

The software failure code is 8700 0004, Task 0080CAF0

i will test more without the screensaver commodity and let you know.

I decided to test more, starting with the most obvious, which is starting the machine without a startup-sequence. And that booted the game.
SO something in my Workbench setup is not playing nice with your game. What exactly, I don't know, but welcome to the nightmare of a fragmented platform :( It's so much easier on C64 in this aspect, we all have pretty much the same gear.

My Workbench setup is pretty vanilla which surprises me about this crash, but I do have resident stuff in memory (Commodities) and one of these is probably the culprit, probably the screen saver.

If you want me to test further, let me know!

I just tested it on my expanded A600 and it guru'd, I thought it'd work because I tested it on WinUAE with whatever config and it worked just fine.

My setup has a modest ACA620, so it's kind of like an A1200 with Fast RAM.

Any idea what could be wrong?

One of my favorite C64 games! A more  "Amiga-ish" soundtrack would have been really nice to have, but otherwise this is spot on.

Wow this is absolutely amazing! It works so well.
I couldn't get lock to work with right mouse button though.

no steering wheel at all (using keyboard), but the problem isn't that I am not moving, NOTHING but those non-player cars on the far side is moving. The light is stuck in red, the 959 is stuck by my side, they're just standing there.

I tried to record a video but can't? OBS just wont refresh

0.5b stuck at starting line, cars zipping by, audio plays, cannot start.

I get a crash/guru (00000002.00C05D26) after the Scorpion engine logo on an A500 config.

this is just excellent!

A North & South-inspired Famicom Wars clone? HELL YES!

this is looking great!

Every time there's an update I have no idea what version it is or what has changed. It makes it hard to keep track of things if anything goes wrong.
This new version is like half the size of the old one in file size. That seems like a significant enough change.

this is super cool!!

I can't believe it, I waited all my life for this port :D

Excellent work as usual JOTD!

oh no need, i understand the challenge, BASIC v2 is such a poop haha. I just meant, everything but that makes for a perfect Qix clone, in only 200 lines of code. impressive!

i love qix and this is a great effort but i just feel like the time it takes to fill up an area spoils the gameplay.

I know I asked this before but it's been a while: any idea if color cycling will ever be implemented?
