I have same issue, I am not skipping and tapping after 10 sec, it still happens.

this game is making me real sad, hardworking loving husband gets cucked and then run over by a car and thats the end and the wife is so ignorant she doesnt even care, a very dark ending in games I havent seen in a while, hope he gets revenge somehow if this is planned to be updated

Forcefully shutting down your pc while the game is open seems to break all saves, so the game acts if as if you don't have any saves, even though when I dug in the files I still saw my saves there. (Edit: Did some testing more, I started a new game and made a save, then tried to edit the old saves using saveeditonline.com but it says they are in an unsupported format, despite the extentsion being the same as the new one.)
