Yep, with the last reply you posted I'm leaning towards a random one-off, hence I asked about replaying it with another save. Considering I haven't gotten such a report yet, I'd just call it a random corruption occurring of sorts that isn't replicable. I'd advise just in case to play from the saves that show no signs of it, just in case ^

Purely out of interest, what happens if you start a new save file, or open save files just before the ones with thumbnails are gone? Lets say opening the first 1-2 before it bugged out, and then skipping text for a while to reach further point in the game and saving, just as you'd do normally. What happens with thumbnails then?
Huh, interesting. I have to admit I've never heard of this issue before, but also barely see any Linux players voice feedback on my file with any issues. (I guess even more weird its halfway through a page as you say, it kinda seems more of some corruption happening during the playthrough rather than it being connected to saveslot and its page specifically)
Due to the constant and never-ending bot spam of scam/virus messages on the itchi.io platform, closing the comment section for now. I'll reopen here and there once a month to see if the issue is still persisting or not. If I see nothing changed, I'll close again and continue doing that till it's improved.
Thanks!
The rework should help a little bit with the feeling imo, as some characters that are less on screen get more dialogue and depth, instead of extremely small nitpicky elements in 4 eps (Eiko and Levy predominantly).
Also removal of some choices that lead to nowhere's should help a bit too. Can be said it also slightly lowers the choices matter aspect, but I don't think choices like "do nothing", "watch anime alone" and a few other similar ones provided much depth. After all, MC should/will be on friendly terms with all of them.
As there is still some time till rework is done (as I just said to the person below, 3 months at the very minimum) I'd suggest to play anyway.
This post here (it's public/free post) explains a lot on why it's reworking time:

Already during my work on Episode 4 release, I realized I was in a tough spot with multiple characters and how they were limited due to how I portrayed them earlier/the content they had, biggest offender being Eiko. What she used to be, and what I tried to make her in ep4 was vastly different. After thinking about that, I sat down and thought of all areas I thought were lacking or being problematic, and that's how it got to me reworking. Essentially, I'm sacrificing my income and viewership/popularity to do this while it's still somewhat "early", so I can have a better product much later down the line.
