Hello! I got time for a small project on rev-share terms, You can find projects I had worked on on www.karliszabers.com

I specialize in pixel art. And some other skills like building level layouts in TILED.

I'm interested in making something like Void Scrappers I did assets for some 2 years ago. A game that could be intensively working completed in 3 months. Unfortunately  I have no marketing skills but I can make Your game stand out as long as I am given some freedom in creativity.

I'll also can give support to game design and ideas.

Is game original?

What do You think of the story?

Are bosses doable?

What do You think of the visuals of the game?

Isn't the game's world confusing and is it interesting to explore and not get lost?

What would You suggest for games in the future?

Does game has any visible game breaking bugs?

Hello! My strength is in metroidvania or top-down type visual solutions. My portfolio can be found on https://www.karliszabers.com/

I have been part of several game development as main artist. I can't call myself a professional yet, therefore I work for lower fees and price for my art can be nagotiable.

Also there are several tilesets available on https://karliszabers.itch.io/

Very big variety of tiles enough to build a game with additional content added. If you are interested in metroidvania esthetics or NES reminders, check it out.

Thank you

This asset pack can be used in both free and commercial projects. You can modify it to suit your own needs. Credit is not necessary, but highly appreciated.  You may not redistribute  or resell the assets on their own, that includes NFTs, just images, or asset compilations. The assets can't be used in AI creations.

Hello! I am open for commissions.

I make pixel art for little prices. I can make portraits, icons, animations not larger than 48x48, 64x64 and small illustrations.

My portfolio can be found on https://www.karliszabers.com/

yes, I might add an extra asset pack in the same style next week maybe

Hi! I would like to share an early demo of game in development for several months. Currently the title is "Pigbook" based on older newgrounds game I had made in 2010.  It's a metroidvania with several new elements that aren't as common. Story consists of character dialogues that are neither childish, neither dark and too serious. Old newgrounds version was about a temple with 3 pigs living in it and practicing meditation and solving unexpected events in the temple, so this current demo starts there and expands into a bigger world where companies and corporations grow and peaceful community of pigs is forced to adapt to a new life.

Hey! I'm just wondering how old are you and how well you know programming. I'm now looking at your game, seems nice, just people don't dig much into these type games anymore and I doubt it will be successful financially . Currently I could work on another rev-share project with someone if you are interested, it would be  visually better game.

Yes! But my copyrights for this free tileset is that you don't resell it as your own assets. I'm still the author. You can use it in your project as you wish, you can mention me in credits though.

I mean I keep my rights to use and distribute my own free material but you can share, edit, mix and use free graphics in your games as you wish.

From the old video you posted, I suggest you work also on visual feedback details. Like knockbacks, screenshakes, maybe make it more fast, rather than it being like early Metroid slow paced. From new game standards games tend to be faster. With a bit more flow and some simple story idea. Maybe some new mechanics that could be used for level progression like the roll POWER, just something new you have to get to progress deeper. More level branching leading to some dead ends maybe and some collectables for some sort of reward.

Yes, don't worry tilesets are free to use. I even like the way you used tiles, just I can't help you with making more. Problem is that if you'll later try to sell the game this won't work out, you need one style everywhere. Try searching for people interested in your project, some artist might pick it up as rev-share project and redo everything for every level.

Neat! Don't you think you should find an artist at some point who can do all the visual set. Using maybe my shapes as guidelines and retouch them with his style and create new ones, and the same or another artist to recreate all the characters.

anyone who downloaded tileset can use it in any project they wish

No copyrights. Can be used for some projects as placeholder graphics because there's too less tiles to build a full metroidvania game.
