Thank you! I really appreciate your comment. Unfortunately at this time I'm working on another project, but Junkdogs still holds a special place in my heart and I would love to return to that world again someday in the future!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it, and I'd definitely love to check out your version as well so please let me know about that when you have it!

Hi, I saw on your older post that a Super Smash follow mode was in the works. Did you ever add that to this?

Yeah it should be possible in the previous demo, but the newest one has a handful of improvements/adjustments. And your previous save file should load with new demo as well.

Hi there, thank you for trying out the demo. I'm glad you had fun! We made some changes and improvements and just uploaded demo version 0.1.5.

If you ever get a chance to try it out again, you can press Shift on keyboard to activate a speed boost with the speed familiar.

Thanks for playing and for recording the footage! :D

Hey, thanks for checking out the game! :)

Thanks for the comment! Naima's Melody is actually on an indefinite development hiatus. We're currently working on new projects at the moment.

Thank you! Unfortunately I can't say if/when this game will be finished. It is near and dear to my heart but a lot of other things got in the way along the process. I really appreciate you being a fan though, I would love to continue it for people like you, some day!

Everything you need is in the warehouse. Just try to interact with everything until you find what you need.

Hello! There is a box you can push to reveal a vent on the ground that you can interact with. Try that!

Yep! We just need to do some more testing on Linux platform to fix some bugs.

Awesome feedback, we really appreciate it!
We'll definitely be taking a look at the things you mentioned.

(also as a side note: the menu SFX was purchased from a royalty-free music/sound effects store. perhaps the artist took inspiration, or perhaps when making menu sounds people just come up with similar things lol. either way, it's not stolen from Stardew :))

No particular ABS plugin was used for this game. Most of the gameplay is achieved through eventing, with some custom work done to  few plugins as well. Thanks for playing and good luck!

This was awesome and hilarious! Extremely well done! :)

Junkdogs is a 2D space adventure RPG that follows a cast of outlaw scavengers known as ‘junkdogs’, who make a living exploring and digging through objects abandoned in space. On a streak of bad luck after a mission gone wrong, the crew will have to do one more job in order to gain the means to pay off the bounty on their heads.

You can grab the demo here
and also check out the game's itch page here.

Thank you so much. And please please tell your sister I personally said thank you.

Thanks again BerryItch for looking at Junkdogs and the artwork. I hope you don't mind if I use this artwork in promotional materials.
I will provide full credit as well.

I just uploaded a minor update to the extended demo release:

-Fixed graphical error in Warehouse on Callisto
-Fixed Battle AI bug: Bad code lead to a switch not triggering and the enemy units eventually locking up in battle, unable to take any actions except for End Turn. If you are experiencing this problem then you need to redownload the game (highly recommended for optimal experience). Also tweaked the AI a bit to make them more dynamic and responsive in battle.

Hey MikeyBlighe! Thank you so much for the wonderful review!
Watching your play-through of Junkdogs was a great joy! It was really funny and entertaining.
I'm currently working on the next part of the game which is more of an extended version of the demo,
I'll be sure to let you know when it's available.

Thanks again for your support!

The game is actively in development, and we're aiming for a 2019 release. A new extended demo will be released very soon!

Thank you for those kind words. I hope you'll play again as Junkdogs continues to develop!

Thanks for playing silversatyr! If you're still wondering how to get out of the room: check the red boxes. Thanks for sharing your gameplay as well.

BerryItch! Thank you so much for playing! I read your feedback you left in the description for the video and I want you to know I will definitely take your thoughts into consideration as I continue to develop Junkdogs. I agree that the battle does feel like a lot of waiting. I'll be sure to make some adjustments to make it all flow better.

P.S.: could you send me a link to the image your sister created for the cover art? Would definitely like to have a copy of it, and I would also love to give a shout out to your sister the artist as well if you could provide any links to her social media. Thanks again!!

Hello Elf Games Works, I appreciate your review of Junkdogs.
I will definitely look into balancing / recalibrating some aspects of the battle system as the game continues to develop.
I will say that later in the game you will gain additional companions in battle.

Thank you again for your feedback, it's very helpful!

Hello Raithias, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on Junkdogs and for the play through!
I truly appreciate it. If you haven't already, please leave a rating for Junkdogs, to help  increase our chances of advancing in the contest.

So now that voting is open for the entries, it seems anyone can vote on games in the jam as long as they create an itch account.
Is there any guarantee against fraud? What is to stop someone from creating multiple accounts to vote up their game?

Hi Shireen. Thanks for playing! I really appreciate it.
I think most of the problem with the volume is that the Freighter music is set way too loud,
which is something I have to fix. But I'm glad you like the game :)

How long is the judging / voting period expected to take once the contest ends?

Thanks a lot for playing! And you were spot on with noticing the "Cowboy Bebop" tone as it was a huge inspiration for me.
I'm grateful for your feedback and will definitely remember it as I continue to develop Junkdogs.

Thanks again for checking the game out! Your feedback was very helpful and appreciated.
