Here’s ours, it’s an arcade ballet game with a focus on making combos and avoiding other dancers. Would love to get more feedback on it!

We made an arcade-like ballet game where you have to chain moves to score points. Let us know what you think!

This was fun once I got the hang of it! Having to time my spins so I catch the bullets without using up all my spin energy was a nice challenge. The different bullet types were interesting, I had to adapt to their movements frequently. I think it could be neat if the bullets surrounding you also functioned as a shield, so you could either shoot them and leave yourself vulnerable or hold onto them to block other bullets. I also wish I could ram into other ships with the bullets surrounding me, like Vampire Survivors lol.

It was fun knocking enemies into the walls, the sound & visual effects made it very satisfying! I also like the trail you leave behind while skating. I would've liked to see different types of enemies or more things to hit with my spin attack; hockey pucks or something would be fun to smack into enemies.

The art is very pretty, I really liked the stage lights and ballerina's dress. It was pretty difficult for me to hit the notes at the right time since the correct hit-area is different for each key; I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I would have preferred a consistent alignment for when to hit each type of note, like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Love seeing another ballet game!

This was a fantastic puzzle game. I love how you let the player discover the rules on their own, it reminds me of the Mora Jai boxes in Blue Prince and made it really satisfying to solve each new mechanic. I appreciate how nothing was designed arbitrarily; the arms formed numbers, the hairstyles made it colorblind-friendly, the placement and number-value of each ballerina was very intentional. And the freedom to make any shape increased the agency I felt when solving puzzles.

I think more dynamic elements could make the game feel alive, like ballerinas that move to new positions after being circled. Overall quite a fun challenge, love to see another ballet-inspired game!

The aesthetic is so cute, I love the sunlight coming through the windows and the pastel colors! The controls are simple but surprisingly challenging since the keys aren't typically used in games. It took me a couple attempts to get a successful run, which is a good thing! Would love to see a rhythm mechanic where you need to press the keys in time with the music, but this is a great first game! (We also made a ballerina game and love to see more representation in the jam :) )

This is game feels awesome to play! Great difficulty progression, easing into the different enemy types and learning their behaviors was a rewarding challenge. You also nailed the controls; swinging around to gain momentum and hit the enemies from behind was so incredibly satisfying. I just wish I was better at it so I could see some of the more insane levels in the images!

Thank you ! The game definitely lasts a while once you get good at it, haha. We didn't have time to implement it, but we considered making the game speed up over time; would be pretty hard to keep surviving if you had less time to react.

Thank you for the kind words! Originally we queued the player input and executed it once the ring reached full size, but it was frustrating when you'd misclick or hold a click just a little too long; we changed it to what's now in the game pretty late in development, but forgot to update the tutorial slides. Definitely will have to add that in after the jam!

I really liked the CPR mechanic, would have loved to see more of that incorporated into the game (potential upgrade for faster shooting??) I think a shoot-em-up inside of a blood vein is a unique idea ripe for potential! It’s awesome that you and your wife made this together :) Our game was made by my girlfriend and I, so we can relate to the experience and satisfaction of completing it.

I liked the 2D/3D visual combination, especially with turning corners. The gameplay was kinda giving Temple Run or Subway Surfer vibes. Unfortunately there were way too many obstacles spawning and made the game feel unfair. I would have liked to play for longer, but I rarely got past the first corner of the hall. Nice interpretation of the theme, very serious yet goofy :)

Same here! Our artist, Jennifer, used to do ballet and had lots of ideas on how we could translate the intricacies of it to a game. We’re glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for your feedback! During the bug-fix period we fixed some issues we had with getting sfx working, so now there are sounds for combos, taking damage, scoreboard updates, and dying.

I like how you tied multiple elements into the theme! The wheel spin for upgrades and revives were entertaining (and added some really fun suspense when I died while I waited to see if I’d come back!)  There was a tense moment where I collected a bunch of supplies and waited for the enemies to reach me… but by doing so I forgot to keep spinning and lost everything, so then I had to get out of there FAST. I had fun playing!

Thank you! It was epic watching you play it on stream, and your feedback was very helpful! If we ever continue working on this, we’ll definitely add feedback that dancers are incoming :)

This game is awesome! I loved all the different minigames themed around office tasks, and the spinny chair movement is fun and difficult to master. The boring tasks being necessary to keep the manager distracted is a great way to make them desirable, but still optional. Crazy that you even got cutscenes and voice acting in!

This was very fun! I was wondering why I would want to speed up the disc and make it harder, but then I played the second level and encountered the notes coming out from the center, and it became a very helpful feature to avoid those! I loved the music and SFX, you did a great job manipulating them when changing the disc speed. My only critique is that the note spawn timing was a bit unfair; sometimes all 3 tracks would have a note at the same time, so I had literally no choice but to take damage. Even though I couldn’t win, I had a great time!

I really enjoyed the random assortment of guns! My favorite was the giant bullet, made me laugh out loud when I first got it. Also a big fan of the small details, like the bushes and boxes shaking and the shopkeeper having different voice lines. Nice job!

I love the art, the parallax is gorgeous! I really enjoyed how the wheel didn’t just impact the current turn/battle, but also upgraded your permanent stats. I would have liked to see the upgrade system fleshed out; if I could pay to modify the wheel wedge sizes (i.e. make $ take up half the wheel), then I could see myself replaying to try different builds.

The art, music, and polish in this game are top-notch!! It was painful playing the maze, though; I wish there was an enemy chasing me or something providing better guidance/feedback to getting out. Although I might just be bad at mazes lol

I liked the gun spinning animations! Sorry it was broken :(

I really liked how you blended orienting 3D objects in 2D scenes. The minigames were fun and each felt unique! Figuring out the dice pattern was my favorite.
