Ahh, that's so cool to hear! I think games can be really, really good at provoking those kinds of feelings and responses! That's awesome that it's part of how you design games, too.

We can definitely have a chat about this over Discord or something else, if you like! I noticed a few things about the labels and the layers of meaning (the available blank shape on the creatures versus traits that have traditional been very gendered, the way that being labeled makes you disappear...).

:D

The audio design is brilliant for this game. I also found it very challenging!

Carving out a space is hard work! :D I also enjoyed the little items that are scattered through the space. It felt like I was really discovering symbols that represent the little touches that make things feel like home.

I love the art style for this and the concept! I wasn't too sure what to do at first with the little people around me, but eventually I clicked on one and discovered it. Great proof of concept!

I really appreciate the way that this story is told through filling out a profile. Thank you for sharing this deeply personal work.

I enjoyed exploring the magic in these everyday actions in such a magical world! I wonder what some of these dishes taste like...

I'm not completely sure that I discovered all of either the Twine or the Unity prototype's secrets, but I enjoyed playing! Thank you for sharing this game.

I love the concept of this game! It's really wonderful to imagine a future where there are centers like this. I had a bit of trouble understanding some of the user interface, but that didn't really interfere with my enjoyment!

This was so, so cool to read about and the controller looks phenomenal! I'm so glad I got to read more about this project. Ahh, I love it so much!

This is so stylish and I love the subject matter! The animations are gorgeous -- well done!

This was a fun space to explore!

I really love the way this feels like a wonderful, personal zine. I also really enjoyed the poetry!

Oh my gosh, the art for this game is so cute! It looks so good, and the mini-games are so much fun. The story is also excellent -- I wanna see what the hero becomes!

I really love the concept of this game and playing through the translations, thinking of how they might apply to the main character's relationship to their parents and also their relationship to their partner. I ran into a bug after the third translation and couldn't proceed, but I enjoyed what I played!

It was so cool to recognize different elements that the community created about the symposium! There's something really satisfying about navigating the chaos this way! I really loved exploring different areas -- it felt surprising and satisfying to find the different parts of the map.

This is beautifully-written! I haven't had the chance to sit down and play, but reading through, this is so, so evocative. And I am so glad that you let us see this draft -- thank you.

Ugh, there is so much to unpack here. I love the way that this game addresses complicity head-on (but also gives me the power fantasy of being able to escape with a mech). The "all-queer weapons machines company" felt very realistic to the way some companies feel.

This is incredibly sweeeet! I love the coziness of this game and the simple sweetness of helping out a community. I did run into a bug while planting blue crystals, but hopefully that's just a one-off.

The rules themselves are such poetry! I really love the fun gameplay loop. My crush was Temperance -- what a sweetheart.

I haven't gotten the chance to gather people together yet and burn a map, but I love the concept of this game and I'm looking forward to trying to play it when I can do so safely!  The design is gorgeous.

There's something about this game that reminds me of meeting a friend at a cafe and just sharing some time together in each other's company. I love the art and the invitation to create something in the spaces you leave. I also really enjoyed the poetry of this piece.

This game is so evocative! The music sets the mood so wonderfully, and the worldbuilding is incredible. I love how much you are able to tell us with just a few words -- about Genesis, about the cult, and so on. The art is also gorgeous -- the character design is lovely and cool, and there is such a strong sense of place. Great work!

SYMPOSIUM RECORDING

Here is the VOD for the Symposium!

Hi folks,

After some technical difficulties, you can find the live stream here!

Thanks so much! I'll look out for it!

Hey there! I was able to find the image rule reference in the currently-available files, but not the plaintext!

So glad you enjoyed it ^^!

Thanks for letting me know! That's an extremely strange glitch...
I tried editing it and now that link leads to Queer Sleepover Witching Hour instead. So strange!

So glad to see this up on itch.io!

ah, but I see that you also mean that you could do more with the photos themselves! It'd be fun to choose filters and stuff for sure, or be able to read comments, or something.

thanks! The original plan was to have that functionality, and it was implemented in the code. But tracking so many objects at  once killed the frame rate, so we had to flatten everything into one layer except the cat to have something playtestable!  So if you take pictures of the cat, you’ll get cat-related hashtags in with the others!
