Just to be clear he said 6 hours to beat it without dying 😉 (which is commitment!)
The decibel meter is a visual clue to where/if the creature is present, it would be a little too hard to tell where the creature was coming from with just spatial sound.
Im not really sure what you mean that you can barely hear the sounds, this was never a problem through playtests and watching other people play it. Maybe its an issue on your end?
I do agree if you die more than a couple of times it loses its scare factor and it gets annoying, but you can say that about all these types of games. Its partially why we chose it for the game jam "shovelware horror"
Hi i watched your video, sound indicator is working fine.
A couple of notes on your gameplay:
You were guessing where it was rather than using the meter to confirm which tunnel it was in
The green light means theres something in the proximity moving. This is pretty much an alert to check your surroundings
Things in the tunnels do not always make sounds you have to be patient to catch them
Thanks for playing
Amazing work on your first game, I really enjoyed it! weapons feel punchy enemy designs are awesome and the aesthetics are on point
If you were to expand this I do think there should be a little more variation in the structure of the levels since they felt quite spaced out. I also noticed a jump feature I'm not sure why it's needed maybe you could add holes etc
Again great job <3
