Its a nice aim-training-esque game and the slamming into the ore below when you click is both a satisfying effect and makes spam clicking risky since you might overshoot other ores. Well done.

Good game overall and I especially enjoyed how the movement looked with it seemingly being physics driven?  For example standing on the edge of a platform or hitting it sideways as you jump up onto it rotates your character accordingly. How was this implemented?

Thank you for checking out my game and I'm glad you like how it all came together. I tried to demo different concepts and keep it exciting.

I really wanted it to be easy to replay the level as you grow to learn it with a quick reset 'R' button. Thank you for checking out my game and the compliments.

Thank you, I brainstormed multiple ideas and when I wrote down the candle melting countdown I got really excited aboutit, so I'm glad it worked out and you like it! Thank you for trying out my game.

Hey, congrats on the 100% collection.

With more playtests and feedback I'm sure I can make the levels less frustrating while remaining challenging, so thank you for the feedback!

I appreciate you checking it out! Thanks

I'm surprised there aren't more comments about this game. Its a nicely packaged puzzle platformer that uses the countdown resource in a nice way, allows for multiple interesting solutions, and uses a cute wordplay on the theme. Well done guys.

Thank you for the feedback.

When it comes to some mechanics I think I can take it farther and explore more options, jump height being inversely related to height is definitely something to test. I can imagine some good puzzle coming from that but I also see it being hard to limit a candle once it is small as it reaches places both down low and up high. I'll look into that as well as other ideas, though!

Thank you! I wish I was at that level. I found it by MintoDog and I knew it was exactly what would compliment the theme and style of the game.

Thank you, I quite like the meta-puzzle of how to introduce mechanics in an understandable way that build on each other. I'm glad you found it well put together.

Glad you liked it, thanks for checking it out.

You definitely jump less the shorter you are, some levels rely on this especially if going for 100% wax collection. Wax level affects:

  • Hitbox size (and the candle wick position)
  • Remaining life timer (the countdown element)
  • Jump height
  • Visible light radius

I tried to have a central game mechanic that was multi-purpose in interesting ways and make levels based around understanding them.

Good merging of different game concepts and enjoyable, clever gameplay.

Glad you checked it out. I left in the ability to skip levels with 'N' so everyone would get to attempt every level if they wished to. Thanks for the review!

I'm no good with scary games so I stayed in bed with the light on all 5 hours. Imagine my horror when it told me to go to the door! Well put together.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'm really glad you enjoyed my game and theme implementation and played it all the way through. Thank you for the feedback!

Thanks for checking out my game! I tried to keep levels short and focused to avoid frustration but checkpoints are definitely something worth exploring.

Thanks man, really appreciate it, and am glad you liked it.
