The Financial Game On competition is financial awareness simulation to encourage young minds to participate and apply their skills and gain first-hand experience in investing in financial markets using the latest technology. The main idea for the competition is to bring in Business models, concepts that help simulating the Financial Market. The focus of this competition is -

Tap into the Financial sector at the right time.
Bring in fresh or out of the box ideas to stimulate financial planning and investing.
Knowledge of Financial terms.
Build interest around trading, investing, NFT’s and E-wallets etc.

The Muscat Securities Market will award the winners of this competition with US Dollars 10,000/-, an initial funding for the best ideas brainstormed.

The participants have to prepare a detailed case study regarding a Financial Model, it could be a brand-new stock, NFT idea or any legal financial coupon that could be used for investing or trading.

FGJ :

Q: Who can participate in the FGJ?

A: Anyone and everyone! We welcome participants from around the world, at any game development skill level.

Q: Where does the FGJ take place?

A: There are no physical sites where jammers go to participate. You can form your own teams and jam locally together or via online depending on your preference.

Q: What are the rules regarding awards for this jam?

The idea must be practical, applicable and scalable
The game must follow the theme competition theme
Should be creative
Business concept of the financial model (Income generation)
Team member exceeding not more than 6 people (aged between 18-30 years)
Incomplete games are accepted; we would like to see them evolve if it's a project that you'll continue. So don't stress to make a complete game! But your submission should be playable for a prototype, contain a concept and story board of the game. (one playable level at least).

Q: Do I need to participate as part of a team?

A: No, this Jam is open to individual developers as well as teams. We strongly encourage participating in a team for all kinds of good reasons, but solo developers are welcome too.

Q: How can I find team members to work with?

A: Participants looking for a team can join our discord, go to the #role-assignment channel and add the "Jammer" role then go to the #fgj-looking-for-group channel, introduce yourself and add your name to the pinned Google Sheet or go to that sheet to find others who are looking for team members to work with.

Q: When is the deadline for registration?

A: We would prefer for everyone to be registered by 9 March, so we have a good idea of how many people/teams are participating. But registration is open during the jam as well, so you can register after Till 23 March 2022.

Q: When does the jam start and end? A: The FGJ officially starts on 16 Febuary, and will conclude on 23 March. Even though the theme is known, we’d prefer that participants focus their development time only during 5-21 November. All games must be submitted by 11:59pm OMAN Muscat time on 23 November.

Q: How will the winning team be selected? A: A judging panel comprised of representatives of the Innovation Cube, will make the determination based on a judging rubric that accounts for the overall game design, best use of the theme, visual design, and technical skill.

Q: When will the winning team be announced?

A: The final team that is selected by the judging panel will be announced on 28 March 2022 at FGJ closing ceremony taking place at the Dubai 2020 Expo.
