Introduction

As we are fully aware of the changing Financial Market. How trading, investing, NFT’s, financial planning has boomed over the last 2 years. Successful long-term financial investing or trading at the right time is very crucial and hence one should be aware of everything there is to know about the current market situation.

 Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) / Muscat Securities Market is an independent legal entity that aims to regulate the Omani securities market in order to complete and support the financial sector in Oman. MSX would like to encourage young minds to learn, understand, invest and plan financial growth. And to stimulate this thought process amongst young minds. (MSX) present you the Financial Game On Competition.

 

Competition Theme

The Financial Game On competition is financial awareness simulation to encourage young minds to participate and apply their skills and gain first-hand experience in investing in financial markets using the latest technology. The main idea for the competition is to bring in Business models, concepts that help simulating the Financial Market. The focus of this competition is -

• Tap into the Financial sector at the right time.
• Bring in fresh or out of the box ideas to stimulate financial planning and investing.
• Knowledge of Financial terms.
• Build interest around trading, investing, NFT’s and E-wallets etc.

The Muscat Securities Market will award the winners of this competition with US Dollars 10,000/-, an initial funding for the best ideas brainstormed.

The participants have to prepare a detailed case study regarding a Financial Model, it could be a brand-new stock, NFT idea or any legal financial coupon that could be used for investing or trading.

Game Details 

• How – Bring together a team of a maximum 6 people (aged between 18 yrs – 30yrs) and register at the THIS LINK   Registration Form On www.innovationcube.om
• When – 13^th February, 2021 – 13^th March, 2021 (the game will officially start on 13^th February, but participants are welcome to join any time until the 13^th of March)
• What – Create or submit a detailed case study of a Financial Model by the end of the day of 13^th March, 2021.
• Where – This jam will take place online on the (Innovation Cube Discord Server) in the Financial Game Jam category. Join our Discord, choose the "Jammer" role and then look for the (#innovation-cube-looking-for-group) channel to find other jammers to work with.

 

Judging Criteria

The participants will be judged on the following criteria

• Innovative idea of the Financial Model
• Market Realization of the Financial Model
• A complete business model and a clear concept of the game

 

Rules and Regulation

• The idea must be practical, applicable and scalable
• The game must follow the theme competition theme
• Should be creative
• Business concept of the financial model (Income generation)
• Team member exceeding not more than 6 people (aged between 18-30 years)
• Incomplete games are accepted; we would like to see them evolve if it's a project that you'll continue. So don't stress to make a complete game! But your submission should be playable for a prototype, contain a concept and story board of the game. (one playable level at least).
