Hi! I'm a solo developer working on a dress-up and coloring game in Godot.

About the Game

I'm developing a browser-playable dress-up game where players can customize characters, choose outfits, and recolor individual parts using custom color palettes.

The prototype is already playable on itch.io:

https://innerwisdom.itch.io/character-custum-world

Right now, I'm focusing on improving the UI, but the game could really use more clothing options.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for hobby pixel artists who enjoy fashion and character design.

  • Design outfits, hairstyles, or accessories you'd like to see in the game.
  • Work at your own pace, with no deadlines or minimum contributions.
  • Even a single outfit is welcome!
  • Multiple artists are welcome to contribute.

Art Style

The game uses outline-free pixel art, with shapes defined by shading rather than outlines.

Each color region can have up to five shading levels.

I'll provide character templates and reference images. I'll also handle the color masks, palette conversion, and technical integration, so you can focus on drawing!

We can discuss your design before you start to make sure it fits the game.

My Policy on AI

I want to be transparent about my use of AI.

I do use AI assistance for programming, but I do not use generative AI for visual assets, and I have no intention of doing so.

This includes character art, outfits, UI artwork, and other visual elements.

I want the game's artwork to be created by human artists, and I respect the creativity and effort that goes into their work.

Collaboration Details

This is an unpaid hobby collaboration.

Contributors will receive in-game credit and can showcase their artwork in their portfolios.

The game is currently planned as a free release. Artists retain ownership of their original artwork, and we'll agree on its use in the game before starting. Any future commercial use, including paid DLC, would require a separate agreement.

I'm designing an item selection UI for a dress-up game. Would you prefer an accordion menu that shows one category at a time, or a long scrollable list that lets you see items from multiple categories?

My main concern is balancing ease of navigation with the ability to compare clothing items while creating an outfit.

It's kinda surprising...

Hi! I'm a pixel artist specializing in 48x48 top-down tilesets. If you like my style, feel free to add me on Discord (Seul0527) — I'd love to chat! Check out my latest asset pack here: https://seul0527.itch.io/48x48-grand-academy-hallway-pack

for environment, I published 4 asset 48x48 top-down tileset pack. for animation and character sprite, actually I don't have much experience... but how I tried are in my page

It was pixel art about environment

I applied to a project there. The project leader reached out to me, we talked really briefly, and then an hour later I got blocked without knowing why. What should I do to get matched with the right person and actually start working on something?

hello! I'm Seul. I decided to build some portfolio and gain experience. I specialize in isometric buildings and environments, and I'm also comfortable with character sprites. I have no animation experience yet, but I'm ready to learn!

Open to game jams, short projects, or unpaid collabs for now. Feel free to relpy/
