At first the controls were difficult to understand. I think it might help to show the mapping on a keyboard for a better visualization. Then the hard part became when I realized I couldn't remember how to tie the shoes in this manner. Pretty cool demonstration of the idea! Overall, definitely a little too complex to start, but once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty interesting game and honestly pretty fun to mess around with like QWOP or surgeon simulator. Good stuff!
Love the aesthetics. The overall presentation of the game feels really polished too. I was only able to smoothly transition from one orbit to another once, probably because I just didn't understand how orbiting works. However, when you do, it feels amazing. Since I didn't get too far, I can only really comment on the tutorial. The only issue I noticed being that you can progress the dialogue accidentally without actually doing the action the tutorial is referencing. This left me lost and I had to restart the tutorial. Anyways, if I could control the ship better, I can see this being really enjoyable to play.
Once you get the hang of it, this game is pretty fun and I can see this idea being expanded to include more powerups and enemies. I feel that the player should begin with the basic power up. If you miss the first one, you have no way to defeat enemies. I also wasn't sure if getting more of the same powerups was helping or not. Otherwise, this was pretty enjoyable to play. Loved the sudden bursts of powerups on the screen and I liked the music too. Good stuff!
This was a unique experience. Playing on keyboard was not the right choice in my opinion, but I can imagine this as a much calmer experience using a joystick. It's short, simple, sweet, yet feels like there's much more implied underneath the surface. I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. Great work!
This is really well made. I'm not great at these games, but the rhythm feels right once you're in the groove. Art and and music are great too. My only suggestion is to have the player's animation match the timing of the animations on the blocks in each level. Though if there's multiple different timings for different blocks in later levels... then maybe ignore what I just said. Anyways, great job! This was really challenging, but fun!
This game was a simple joy to play. The loop mechanic was easy to understand and use. I also liked the aesthetic and the design of the levels. My only critique is the jumping physics felt a bit weird. Only bug I ran into is that you can sometimes get stuck in place when you're in a corner touching a wall and the floor at the same time. Besides that, this was fun game to finish. I liked it!
Wario-Ware and speed dating work so well together. Playing this threw me for a loop (in a good way). Maybe I just didn't notice it, but it'd be cool to have all the animations also move faster as the speed increases so you can really feel the speed up even more. I can't believe you all got so much done in this jam. Overall, hilarious and fun!
That was short, sweet, and fun. I like the art style and the sfx were picked well. Definitely wished you could speed up actions after already going through them multiple times. Only bug I encountered was that the [REDACTED] closest to the bed will waste an action if you haven't interacted with the others first. Otherwise, great job, I liked it!
This game feels like one of the best representations of the "Loop" theme I have played so far. This was great from art to audio to gameplay. Unlocking the first dimension was mind-blowing. Only suggestion I have is that a tooltip or an extended description for the upgrades would be nice. In hindsight, it took me way too long to realize what the gravity did (I had assumed the loops were moving in orbit). That said, this was a really fun and an awesome experience to play!
Took a bit getting used to the controls, but once you get the hang of it this can be pretty addicting. Love the style of this game and I enjoyed the look of the ship scraping against the sun so much that I wished there was mechanic where you could skip off the sun's surface. My only critique is that during the Nova, it's a little hard to tell how you're oriented without the trail and the sun as reference. Anyways, great work, this was really fun!
