Took me 10 min for the first level and the second level i couldn't beat. I might suck or the game is to hard idk witch. but over all i liked the idea it was fun simple and i really wanted to beat it after failing a lotso good job on the game.

The game was fun to play but after dying a bunch and retrying over and over i eventually gave up im not sure if i suck or if the game is hard probably the 1st option. It was fun and even tho the art was simple it still looked nice and i was able to tell if things where deadly before interacting with them. I also liked the music especially the one after you open a chest.
Thx for being honest and yes i agree there isnt a game here. The original idea was much bigger then the game that was made (think of undertale and how they remember what you did in your other playtroughs) and due to the game being made in 4h since i didnt have a lot of time the boss fight had to be made in the last 10 mins of the deadline.
I was gonna come here and say the game isn't working but when i saw the comments i had to go back and check. And i have to say the game was actually really fun after that. A little annoying when the enemies would go in the edges and stay there for like 1min but i found out if you just zoom out you can go around the border(didn't use it since it felt like cheating). Over all very fun and not as easy as i thought it would be.
An amazing game with very good art I loved it and the bosses where fun as well. One thing i feel like is missing is that if your orbit is closer to the boss on one side and further on the other u should get lunched quicker speeding up and then slowing down. idk if it made sense but ye. Ether way amazing game I loved playing it would love to see more of this game and maybe more bosses.
Ye the beam attack is possible to doge if you keep on moving away from the boss while moving from the beam but the small beams can glitch sometimes and spawn so many that its unavoidable. And the original plan was that u would have upgrades after the bosses so u could reduce or increase the reload time to make the timing easier for the shots. Also good job on your score my best was 2512. And the style was inspired by faith cuz i love that game so that might be why u think it looks like that. I'll go check out your game as well
Thx for the feedback ye i think it need screen shake when you are hit i tried to make it visible by making the player shake and the hearts pulls but i guess thats not enough. And the boss movement is simple just pick a random number for the x and y positions and then glide the boss towards those positions(you can have an invisible sprite that can be used as a pointer that the boss moves towards as well. And if u like any ideas i would love to see how you use them so good luck on your game.
