Most of them are still salty about the sex with Annalie. If it wasn't something we didn't have an idea how to make it wouldn't be an option in the poll, but they are just selfish people that thing they know better what's good for the game than the people who made it. Talk about delusional.

Everything was already explained in the main post, polls were a benefit and people couldn't behave and now cheats are, and cheats are given to every person that contributed, by becoming a patreon OR mods, translations etc. We are not gonna give our patreons less only because some vocal minority is too lazy to make money in the game or too lazy to contribute in any other way to the community. A very long reply and nothing interesting was said, just proving my point that we were too good and good people tend to be exploited and then harassed when they wise up.

Wait till the next update. It's not like we are not looking at other options. 

No hate, but you are looking at one point in time in a development of a game that took 6 years with a team of 3 people. I'm very sorry that the game got popular and our hard work paid off. 

The game is free. Calling devs of a free game greedy is just beyond laughable. Which other game gives you a way to give yourself all the items available? All the money? Resetting a story line? Probably not many. People make 3rd party tools for that purpose and we never disallowed those on our discord unless someone tries to bypass security on our own cheats. All the backlash we get is because we were too nice and people grew too accustomed to being spoonfed. You even have a problem with polls (that became a very minor thing for small details)? Please explain to us what kind of monetization is ok with you. Do you think we wouldn't want to be on steam? The game would be much more successful on the biggest gaming platform, but the game is banned from it. It's just infuriating reading these comments. The truth is 99% of the people that played our game didn't give us a dime and we are very grateful to the people that contributed, but I don't see why we should shot ourselves in the foot and make patreon tiers with no benefits. "I’m very unhappy with that game state and update, and I am still looking for a downgradable official or at least non risky download..." even though you call us greedy you still ask for more. Give me, give me, give me... Have some shame.

iamacheater.ic, debug menu and all the other in-game cheats are no longer available for free players. Most of the people understand this or didn't even realize it, but every week there's someone making an angry post so here's an explanation of the situation

1. Why are they behind the paywall?
Before the change there were polls for major game updates instead of cheats. We had to remove that feature because of the harassment we and high-paying patreons were receiving for supporting "the wrong" option. Even one of our moderators started attacking us with hateful statements and creating unfounded rumors. For the sake of everyone involved we put a stop to it. We couldn't let our patreons to stay with nothing so we made the hard decision to paywall cheats. 

2. How to get cheats?
There are 2 types of cheats, basic and advanced. They offer different things and the advanced are on a higher patreon tier (https://www.patreon.com/cw/inccel/membership). But, there's also another way to get the advanced cheats: modders, game translators and mod translators can get advanced cheats for free. So no one is discriminated because of their financial situation. If you want cheats you need to contribute, one way or another. 

3. How to get the cheats for free? (requires being on our discord server)

If you've translated at least 2 mods(It cannot be a badly done one, no AI!!!) Send the command you get from the game to @ΩSheep (MENTION WHY YOU'RE SENDING IT TOO)
If you don't have any mods, but want to start. Send the command you get from the game to @ΩSheep, but be prepared to answer a few questions about MDRG modding. Showing proof you're working on a mod also helps."

The option to get cheats for free isn't new, it was added over a month ago, pretty much at the same time that they were paywalled. So it's not like we bent the knee to an angry crowd. There's no angry crowd. You are all an uninformed, entitled minority that is too lazy to spend 15 minutes on gameplay to get the in-game money you need for the more expensive modules. 

All the other threads crying about cheats will be deleted. If you are still pissy about it, answer to this one, it's a sticky. 

It makes total sense when you realize that the devs actually need to eat something. This is our job. The game is free and this feature went behind the paywall because we and high-paying patreons were being harassed during polls that were deciding game's future. Polls for major game updates are out, cheats are in. People that actually support us deserve something more, that's why new cheat menu is being developed even further with new features on the way. If you really supported the game you would understand this, instead everyone feels entitled to getting not only the game, but also all the features, even those that are there only to help speed things up a little. There are threads explaining how to get money and it takes only a few minutes to figure out. There are also other ways of getting cheats. Modders, game translators and mod translators can get advanced cheats for free. So it's not like we discriminate, if you don't have money, contribute to the game and you will get those cheats.

Dr. Blaubleim only makes like 2 phone calls and that's it, it was a setup for something we didn't go further into, instead there's a fisher joint event. 

We might need to create an alternative way for distributing mods if discord will keep going in the current direction, but no promises.

You need to help Annalie during riots, get a good ending in the church sl and wait for them to return, catch a set amount of fishes and you want to do the Landlord side of the Paradisium island and take Britannia with you.

we get a lot of new accounts spamming about the cheats being on a patreon tier. Cheats took the place of polls and polls were removed because people were harassing us and others over it and it was getting ugly. It's just tiresome to explain it for the 1000th time

Oh no, I banned that account cuz I thought you were a troll. Now that I see that you behave semi-normal I unbanned your old account. Game got big and there's a lot of stupid people to handle alone. 

I understand, but it's better safe than sorry. I don't want to have people on my ass, they fall for the most obvious scams ever. 

You can always just send them on discord to me so they can be published, asset swaps are allowed as long as you properly credit the mod creator and ask them for permission. I can't allow posting link files on itch.io cuz it would be hell to manage. Now that discord is fucked we might need a new way of doing things, but it won't be fast.

This is a third party website so be aware it may not be safe, especially if you run some files locally. Also, always leave a backup save file so you guys won't cry about it being corrupted. There's a lot of people with zero understanding of these things that play our game so explaining this is necessary.
