this was the best game i've played this jam

i really liked this ! the dialogue was charming and the art style was great ! just wish there was music in the background

dogshit you know (Underground Adventure reference)

(1 edit)

this was pretty fun !

also wake up bro 💔

this was awesome ! i adore the art, the story was interesting to follow and the gameplay itself was interesting too! good job !

as the others, i also got the uncaught typerror on 2 days left, but from what i played this was really cool and dark ! the atmosphere is the best part imo, and the writing is interesting as well. would've loved to see what happens next!

this was so cool !! the visuals were beautiful and polished, the combat is something i've never played before and it's a lot of fun, the vibe and atmosphere were really cool. this is mad impressive for a 1 week jam !

that was really really good, i didn't think i'd like a game like this but i played the entire thing until the final boss (which i couldn't seem to complete after 10 minutes, so i had to quit) i also didn't use any upgrades throughout the game until i finally noticed them at the end. the title screen is really cool, and the music fits the game. well done moonwood!

really enjoyed this ! the graphics were simple but really nice, i like the way the enemies move in the overworld. great job !

i really like the visuals !

that intro was so beautidful, especially the music. the combat system is something i've never seen before, and the whole nes-ish style is really polished, this was great!

this was so great ! i can't believe this was made in rpg maker !
this feels like a short and cool homage to celeste, instead of ascending to the peak, you descent down 🙌

thank you :)

thanks for the kind words !

🙏🙏🙏

i was always confused why the options on the plugin were behaving strangly, i already fixed it on my game but nice that you fixed them :)

AMAZING.

was an inspiration ^^

Hi ! I wanted to send you a copy of my game that uses this plugin, how can i contact you?

Finally played it after a month of being busy, this was beautiful!!! The music and sound design especially was so good, and the art was amazing too! The story was powerful and it felt like a great experience! Amazing work from you four!

wow !

this is so cool ??

Thank you so much jacque !!!

This was a really cool experience! I love the visual aesthetic a lot, and appreciated the story being told via the game’s main mechanic! It was interesting to check all the different dialogue and find out what word was needed to progress. Loved it!!!

Also taught my about elephants. Always a plus.

it works like a charm now, thank you so so much for all your help !!!!

I commented, but I think the comment got deleted. Anyways, I tried resetting the plugin with no changes. Also tried making a new project in 640x480 and 680x480 (my games resolution) and had the same problem. here is my screen width:

also, being able to change the song name (the bigger text) would be perfect!

really appreciate you taking the time to fix this ! I do still have some issues with the detail zones... The reason my game's resolution is so low is artistical and trying to emulate older indie games, and I don't really plan on changing it. Would it be hard to add a plugin parameter to change the size of the fonts for the title of the song, and detail zones? That way I could make them smaller and it should work. I understand if you need time or if this isn't your priority but I thought I'd ask :)

Just updating, I think I've found the issue. My game's resolution is 680x480, when i turned it up to for example 680x800, it worked. I think my game's height was too small. And thanks for telling me about the scene window type paramater, totally missed that ! But yeah It'd be really nice if you could find something so the child windows don't look strange haha

Sounds good! Thank you so much for the reply!

Thanks for the great plugin, I'm having a little trouble with the detail zones, they appear for a split second before disappearing. I've put a video to demonstrate.

Also, is it possible to remove the default background if you're using a picture background?

the soundtrack is available on youtube, spotify, and other streaming services as ‘Gryoneer (Original Game Soundtrack)’ ;)

Hi, I can't seem to get the global data stuff to work. I wanted the title screen to change depending on what chapter you're on, so after a chapter ends I have a plugin command for adding number data, and saving said data. I assigned that number and key to the title screen map, but it doesn't change.

i played it after seeing it on the rpg maker subreddit, gonna continue playing it and get all endings tomorrow :)

so good it's good

I love this submission! The art is amazing and looks so good and true to the original, and the gameplay is actually fun!

should be in the top 3 of games made with rpgmaker

Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed our game!
