Very cool and wholesome VN. I do like each option has a certain theme to it. The hand drawn art is also really cool!
I enjoyed it1

If this is your first game, uh, not bad! I really love the art and I guess a really cool take. Also a really sad story. I guess some audio had to ended up muted, as it got copyclaimed. Also, one thing I found weird is the controls. The common RPG Maker staple ZX buttons are not working, and since it’s also doesn’t have WASD, my hands were cramped on one side, with enter button (and mouse for the souls memories) only being the only way to interact with objects, tho again it has been mostly find and go get the thing so I will let it slide. Still, regardless of the issue, not bad.
I had fun and good luck for future endeavors!
I ended checking this up for now. (I will check the update of the other game later, I did forgot to follow-up and say that the turn-off tv filter works when it wants to, instead of being able to turn off completely in one go so uh yeah.)
Anyway, enough for the other game, I want to talk about this game... and dang, that was sad. Yep fictional corp ruining 2 men love. As always I love the visuals, and the lighting/ambience/atmosphere, just really gives the dream looking/surreality of the situation. Again the motions/animations do remind me of Pkmn BW. And man, tho I already said how it goes, it is all sudden. Hopefully the updates of this, and The Final Course (if there will be more major things will be added), fully connects the worldbuilding of these two games (or more if there will be more.)
Had a blast of sadness playing this game.
Again, good luck on future endeavors and thank you!
(Maybe I’ll draw them someday.)
This is such a beautifully depressing experience. I understand what’s going on in it. It took me like 3 separate days, but still probably like a day total, to like at least understand how this experience works. I dunno if I saw every secret in this but at least I could what I can experience. Still, it’s really sad.
There are other things that also already had been said by others here, but yeah, like this has an innovative use of ren’py. Also beautiful art (includes music choices and font choices) and atmosphere.
I did a session of this experience with me speaking (there’s also one without me speaking.)
Ok I now have the chance to play and report my findings on the new version. I found a new bug in the neighborhood, and I cannot meet the morse code creature and the cat,, it’s all heal, uncle frank and the red guy, making the game now unplayable/unbeatable because the cat refuses to appear. I think the cat is best to be just npc on the map at this point.
Had a blast playing this one, even if I suck at go/weiqi. I do love the character designs, and as well the whole thing in pixel art! Gameplay is nice, and I guess it’s the beginner size weiqi, just enough for me to still kind of try to learn the game. And also I love the writing/interactions of the two. Again, a really amazing game!
Thank you so much!
Pretty good game as always. Love the visuals/graphics and as well the music and sounds! Amazingly well done. Music is really chill, despite all the deadly things that can happen in the cursed cave. But yeah, I do have to agree to another commenter. The game can be easily broken, even on just Area I. Some of the common power-ups are already great. But then the uncommons and rares just really break the whole game immediately, and as early as you get them, you’re just now unstoppable. I guess the name of the game really stayed true to the nature of the power-ups.
Regardless, it is still a fun game, and I enjoyed it till the end.
You’re welcome and thank you! Welp I wanted to draw something, since it’s such an adorable game.
Welp, also I did a follow-up playthrough on the post-jam and want to share my thoughts on the new update as well:
(also has no commentary. The follow-up starts at 29:20.)Overall, it is a much better experience and really enjoyed the new hard mode as well. I do love the balancing happened in this update, and the added lift, which is nice to coincide alongside the hard difficulty as well. And the 100 Rats mode.... welp certainly a meme material, and I funnily think its kind of almost as hard as hard mode, especially the rats in that mode as well don’t give time, and more of an obstacle at this point. Still, certainly an experience. One thing I wish is basically if you clear the highest difficulty, like hard mode, it just unlocks the rest of the ribbons (excluding 100 Rats), instead of you have to play the other difficulty modes to unlock them. Still, this update is miles better than before. As for final thing to say, I do love the extra lore of the other dolls. One thing would be nice, tho I think it might be extra work at this point, and unsure, is would be able to play the other characters aside from the main, upon completing the game.
Again, great update, and the quit button finally works.
Absolutely fun game! From the game & the art (graphics, music, the characters, writing for an arcade), it is simply an amazing game for a game jam. I’m speechless. Really a lot of care and love is on display. So good I played it twice (just to 1CC.)
Thank you for an amazing game.
I did a playthrough. It also has no commentary (for pure game audio enjoyers).
Again, amazing game and good luck on your future endeavors!Haha, you’re welcome. Hopefully you don’t go supernova about it.
Welp, as soon as you made the extended version.... I did a follow up as a bonus of a new playthrough I made (and still fully reread it anyways.)
It starts on 46:58. (Also if I said anything else that I think I kind of said it wrong/misremembered, uh sorry about that, unless there isn’t,then nevermind.)Overall, the Extended Version, is miles better than the jam version. I do like the new added music, and still having the motifs in it, as well as the new CGs, Star’s portraits, and the menu upon getting all the endings. It is a vast improvement. Well done! I did also read the notes of the extended version, and I guess I enjoyed reading it as well and understand better. (Forget-Me-Not tho has been stuck in my mind ever since Deemo.)
Welp, that’s all for my follow up, and good luck on your future endeavors.
Well, it’s a sad/grieving vn. I do like the art. It is really cool. The music choice is nice. It reminds me a bit of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. As for how this micro vn goes, I do like the choices, the writing/characterization of Clarissa and the endings associated with it/the path they take, alongside with the symbolic titles they get from those choices. Overall, again, it’s a really cool micro vn. I will do check the other related VNs in the future! And good luck on your future endeavors!
I enjoyed reading it! I think most have been said by the other commenter at this point, but yeah. Limited color usage on this one is really cool. The art is really good! Expressive characters, as well as really nice characterization/writing (Noel’s obsessiveness, and Bianca’s analytical behavior.) Kind of predicted they like have the same thing. Regardless of that I enjoyed it. You’re doing good. Another good one. Good luck on your future endeavors!
For remembering one of the bugs caused by inputting the special objects, I think it's the cat caused it. I already place an object before then when I placed the final one at the party, it didn't trigger, until I replaced the object, and yeah it suddenly works. I tried on reloading before just to make sure there's no other weird shenanigans, and tried to input multiple things in the party, and yeah it still didn't work, likely the cat one has issues. That's one, tho unsure if there are any other situations that can cause the same issue.
Played this game today, and unfortunately gave up after one ending, as for some unknown reason, there are times placing all special objects doesn't trigger the ending in some specific order. I had like 2 already correct ones, and hoping to get a certain ending, but when I placed the last one specifically in the party, the ending didn't trigger, until I have to replace the correct one with a wrong one again and place another object in the party, and suddenly now it worked and basically got a different one instead. Again unsure how each of the ending works but yeah, until the special objects are bugged, I have to wait for a better version atm.
Still it's an interesting game. I do like what's going on in this game and the art as always. I think my least favorite one is the neighbourhood since it felt like you can just go check one house and have all encounters already there in one go... Unless each house has like a unique npc that you can encounter at random chance, which is something to mind in the future update to make the neighborhood more interesting, maybe a random cameo or something else. Also this is random but I'm unsure anyway if this is possible (I have no ideas how plugins work), but would be nice if there's a way to like disable screen filters.
Still interesting game, and would likely wait for a downloadable version for now. Would consider playing this again on a future update.
Well, the other commenter already said most of the things I want to say. But yeah, this is a really neat melancholy. Again really nice art and writing, and I do like the opposites of the characters as well.
welp I guess the other commenter said what I want to said, but yeah had the mutual feel to it. It’s sad/melacholic but also I guess really nice. Well, hopefully in the one ending, they get reincarnated into something better. But what if it’s a to- ok enough.
Very fun till the end of everything in this game! I had a blast playing it.
(also did a playthrough of it, whether me suddenly not speaking at latter (below this comment), because focus, or just pure game audio. [starts at 22:34])
(also has no commentary. also this should have been posted like days ago, but something depressing happened, so I’m sorry if it’s only now.)
Just like the other game of yours I have played, it’s also a very fun one, and at least this time it’s like only actual 2 deaths. I do like the idea being able to cook in checkpoints and like gain more HP again. There are some typos, but it’s a game jam game so I can understand.
Still a very fun one!
Umm issues on my end playing the game:
I caught the same error before by someone again on the current version on the same spoiler. when you select the other option.
Also throughout the whole game, it might be only me, but the game heavily lags. I dunno during like dialogues it goes back to 60 fps, but when it goes to playing the game, the fps dips into 10-15fps, and even further on first area, dips into 3-8 fps. Might something to do with the plugins (tho possibly my laptop has like outdated specs as well.)
Still interesting game, can’t wait to play it another time it gets released.
(also has no commentary. Your game starts at 32:30.)
I really like this game. It’s a great game, and if this is your actual first game, it’s even more amazing for a first game. I love the characters, their characterization, and especially during the ending/choose a route sections. It really shows you made this game with care and love. Also the art, it’s instant chef’s kiss for me. 10/10. Also the bonus content is pretty good, and made me more interested of this game’s world. Good luck for you future endeavors, and again, amazing game!
(Sorry if this took me a while to comment, as the video is already posted a while ago, as I’m also doing ArtFight atm.)
A straightforward traditional YNFG. It has some cool worlds especially the mansion one (and I did get to see top of the mansion event as in one of the screenshots, I’m unsure if that’s RNG or has certain conditions.) I guess the kind of convention/food court as well is one of my favorites.
A really cool and short traditional YNFG. It’s an interesting concept for effects and as well as using the wand as well. Also, love the hedge maze. I also recently played your other game and it reminds me that also has one.
Still, not bad! Truly a rain summoner.
Wow, this is an extremely amazing game. The pixel arts and the soundtrack/chiptunes are amazingly well done with lots of love! Both sections of the game are fun; and difficult for the shmup section (the main focus) (had a number of skill issue happened on latter parts of the game); and really cozy on the town section with some stories and nice and cute characters to discover as well. I had really tons of fun playing the game!
Welp, I made a playthrough of this game (it also has no commentary as well.)
Really nice short game, and definitely has some fine dining vibes and etiquette! Endings are straightforward, tho there are some funny ones. As for the 9 ending, I think the more better statement for it will be 4 endings, with 3 of them having 2-3 variants. Also very cool art, and I also like the animation it has a bit, especially during the restaurant ones. It kind of reminds of pkmn bw sprites a bit on the vn sections. So that at least, is the chef’s kiss for me in this game. Music choices I guess are also nice. Overall not a bad short game. Keep up the good work, and good luck for future endeavors.
It’s a fun collect and survive thing type of horror. I realize it kind of late anyways, but uh yeah. Unfortunately in just sometime, I dunno what I was supposed to look for, so I looked a bit somewhere else to make sure I know what I need to get, and yeah. It’s also nice that it is random at times about the notes, and all of the chasers have different behaviors (and also have a bit of lore behind them). I guess for the one that you have to walk I got at least a hint until like I showed the note.
Overall, a solid experience.
As always with your games, it’s really cool! I do love the number of references and parodies it has, and also really fun short action platformer. Also the Wilhelm scream, pretty cool!
A straightforward and easy to understand situation, but also really sad visual novel. I had a rollercoaster on the story, and on Lily as well. As always, really amazing art, and as well the visuals/bgs, and the color tones as well.
Overall, a sorrowful anomaly hunting, that you will feel bad as well, and she certainly deserves a better life.
(also has no commentary.)
Pretty fun and really cool game! I love the art of this game, and everything in it! I do have some number issues on the game. There are times where the eye just suddenly appear despite not doing anything, and you still have to block attacks. Rare occasion of the notes disappearing for the whole game even on save, and fleeing/doing anything/restating the game doesn’t do the job, and the only solution is to just normally win a random encounter by just attacking. I guess the last issue imo, is like if you end up starting on the egg first, there’s little amount of white notes. As much I like the nature of this game to be able to start anywhere, I think the egg boss makes you end up like you have to unfortunately to do another boss for now. It’s not impossible, but due to the nature of like you have to get the office one first, it becomes a fight of like you have to wait for the part that has white notes first if you don’t have it. I think one final issue I have is like the fleeing. I think 3 times to flee a single encounter makes fleeing kind of useless, probably on angels it has more use, but if you have at least one of the artifacts/tools, it’s best to just fight them at this point. I think it will be more useful, if you already, something like defeated one enemy at least one time, and just fleeing will be much better, or like only 2 times to do it, the second time you select it, you just escape. I’m unsure if it’s possible to have that in this engine/there’s already a plugin that can do that, but just some suggestions, especially I’m unsure if you’re still going to work on it in the same engine.
Issues aside, this is an amazing and really peak. I hope to see some of the later part/s of this game soon and good luck with your future endeavors!
EDIT of Same Day: I also realized you were also the dev of the other game I played, but never commented, which is Knightsong. (I’m sorry in advance if I never commented there. I’m really anxious as of late, and uh yeah. I did also enjoyed that game as well.)
Still, a very wonderful game and experience as well. Likely one of the best ones I played this year. All of the art you created (including the characters, the stories, music, extras, everything) is such a wonderfully crafted things to convey the struggle as a creator. And I can relate a lot to this game. I think most have been said at this point.
Again, thank you so much!
this is such a really cool game. cool and amazing art, cool characters both npcs and playable ones as well. storywise is straightforward. for the cw issues, I think it’s still deep, especially during further in the good route and full/entirety of bad route, and I think it handled well. It reminds me of ISAT, in a good way and without time looping at least, but yeah I feel bad for what happened to most of the stars in this world.
Overall, it’s a really hidden gem, and I think this deserves more recognition.
not gonna lie, this game is really good! there are certain levels of back and forth that are real good, especially the actual final level (the one before finale), that one took me a while to figure out until actually learning the yin yang of back and forthing, tho there are some that are questionable. (which are mostly found in the 1-x), but again understandable for like what level to make, I guess somehow gotta balance it.
