Totally agree. Please check the channel indiegameinn channel in youtube. It is exactly what you say

yes. You are right but even it being over crowded i could not find a place for my game. So indie developers are the content creator, we have enough power to rule youtube. So i trust developers.

waiting for videos of your game. It has been 1 week since new video uploaded so it just right time for your games video to upload.

I do not like dev logs. Dev log is for developers. I want to reach gamers. I could write developer - xxx  but this looks more cool to me.

If a developer send the video it will release as INNDEV  means indiegameinn developer content. if a gamer send a game (which he/she did not developed.) it will be released with INNREV title, means indiegameinn reviewer. Does it sense?

thank you. Yes as u say yesterday i post a video in channel about my game. I think it shows the concept very well. Please check it. Virtual bingo is interesting idea but i do not want to money issues so much in to channel because tje main purpose is to create a free platform for developers even provide sell of their game. But for sure later it can be asked to people but now too early.  Yes if ypu know a good indie game that u think it is not well known you can make a video about it and review it. So yes you can publish review of game whic is already published. X and facebook really works? Specialy facebook comes to me dead.

For sure accepted. I add Early Access in form.

Thank you for your comments. It is very encouraging to see developers like you paying attention during these early stages.

Your suggestions are good. I have already updated some of the rules according to the feedback I received before.

And yes, you are right. I need to update the rules because when I say "high quality," I do not mean videos at professional YouTuber standards. What I mean is that the videos should have sufficient quality for players to watch comfortably. The sound and speech should be clear and the gameplay footage should be watchable. My intention is to set basic quality standards, not expect professional YouTuber level production. Maybe I should update the rules to make this clearer.

Everyone who watches these videos will know that the content creator is not a YouTuber. He or she is a developer or gamer explaining the game, not a professional content creator. The video simply needs to be watchable and informative.

Regarding your second proposal, if the channel grows and starts generating income, the community can discuss how that money should be spent. You are right that moderators will eventually be needed, as I will not be able to handle everything by myself. There will also be marketing expenses and probably many other costs that I am even aware of.

The exact implementation can be discussed later. My personal wish is to use part of the income to buy indie games from content creator developers and share the keys with the community. Whether that ends up being 25% or 75%, or something else, is impossible to know right now. I think these discussions are still far in the future. First, we need to make the channel work.

For the video titles, I was thinking about something similar. For example:

[INNDEV – Nickname] TITLE

Or, if the video comes from a player or reviewer:

[INNREV – Nickname] TITLE

The title field already exists in the submission form. Do you think this makes sense?

And if you decide to share video, I would be very, very, very, very happy. If possible, please consider sharing a video about your own game by submission form. (I am assuming you are developing a game; if not, you are also welcome to participate as a reviewer.)

Please pay attention to the phrase “Thank you IndieGameInn for releasing this video.” that details already exist in rules. It is not intended as a thank you message. It is simply a way to verify that the video was created specifically for IndieGameInn and submitted by the person claiming ownership. It is not aimed at you personally, but because your video could become one of the first examples on the channel, it would be especially important.

Thank you for your comments.

Hello everyone,

I am developing a PC game about motorsport management. After a very long period of development, even though the game is still in pre-alpha, it is ready to be shown to people. So, to show gamers my game, I started sending emails to see if YouTubers would make some content about it and share it. But I was not thinking it would be so difficult.

Actually, I was not expecting big channels to share the game, but I was surprised that even small channels did not release anything. Most of the responses from YouTubers were promotional offers, and they had standard replies showing what type of content would cost how much. It is totally understandable because they put a ton of effort into their work and they want something in return. But the problem is that I am a solo developer and I do not have enough marketing budget. I need to keep my marketing budget, which is already very low, for closer to release time.

So I asked other developers and told them about my situation to see if they had similar problems or if it was only me. From what I saw, mostly everyone had a similar situation.

After seeing this, I started to think: as developers, can we solve this problem by ourselves? After lots of discussions, suggestions, and criticism in forums, I ended up creating a new channel: @IndieGameInn.

So what is @IndieGameInn? The logic is simple. I will explain it as simply as possible. I am not a YouTuber, and I do not want to be a YouTuber. So there will be no videos created by the channel itself. The idea is that developers create their own content about their games, and the channel shares it without any cost. To put it more simply, the developer is the content creator, and the channel publishes the video without modification. But be careful it is not trailer or dev log. All details are included in channel.

All the rules are already set. If a video follows the rules, there is no cost and the channel will publish it. And it is not limited only to developers. Even gamers, if they believe they have good game sense, can make reviews about indie games.

So in summary, this channel is a platform where developers can freely market and showcase their games to players, and reviewers can show the games that they like.

It is to early but I think I have to mention about this. If the channel grows in the future and starts generating income, most of the budget (the rest after marketing, mod and channel others costs etc.) will be spent on buying indie game keys (from developers who share content on the channel). These keys will be gifted to content creators and players who make reviews on the channel, and sometimes simply to subscribers.

So the first main aim of the channel is to create a platform where small indie teams and solo developers can show their games without any cost. The second step, if the channel grows, is to support content creators by buying content creator developer’s games and providing keys to reviewers.

So if this sounds logical to you, please check out the channel, subscribe, and send your videos. All the rules are already available on the channel. There are many details about the rules and submission process. If developers support the channel, it may become a major marketing platform for indie games.

Channel is active and you can find it in youtube @indiegameinn
