I think the latest Quest OS update (version 2.1.1034) has fixed the keyboard placement and web browser scrolling issue. It's not necessary to update to v0.12.3, unless there's another regression with a future Quest OS update.

I was able to trigger the issue by using quest games optimizer to launch HereSphere. On v0.12.2, the issue is present. I tested it on v0.12.3 (the new update), and it seems to have fixed the issue for me. Are you sure you're on version 0.12.3? Go to the HereSphere main menu -> user guide -> about. It should show the version number.
Edit: Looks like there's still an issue with the web browser getting cut off when scrolling down. Seems like Quest Games Optimizer is changing the DPI, and Unreal Engine doesn't detect this change (until the headset is restarted), so the positioning of UI elements gets messed up. I'll try to find a fix for the web browser scrolling.
Thanks for the info. Update v0.12.3 was a potential fix for this issue, but I guess it doesn't work. I haven't been able to replicate on my headset, so I've been guessing at potential solutions. Looks like I need to find a different work around. There's something wrong with how Unreal Engines interacts with the Quest OS when getting the UI render size. In the meantime, you can try restarting your headset. This usually fixes the issue.
By the way, are you using any third party apps that can affect the Quest resolution?
You have to switch to the RC channel on the Meta store since the update is still being tested. To switch to the RC channel, visit the HereSphere Meta store page on a web browser outside of your headset. Login, scroll down to version, then select the RC channel. The app will update on your headset. New UI update is still several months away.
The app requires a direct download link to stream the video in the native VR video player. Sometimes you can click on the icon in the upper left corner of the web browser that looks like a magnifying glass to list the video resources on the website, but sometimes those video resource links won't work depending on the website (could be it uses a one-time use token to access the video, so it can't be accessed outside of the web browser that made the initial request).
First, try disabling your headset's wifi, and see if the app will launch. If it does, go to the HereSphere user settings and disable the "Network smb device scan" toggle. You can then re-enable your wifi. Else, try uninstalling the app, and then reinstall the app. This will wipe your saved data, though.
If you have RT set to layer 2, then try setting the "Drag Rotation" keybinding to layer 2. For the medium seek keybinding, try using layer 3, which would require you to hold both the grip and trigger button down. This also opens up the ability to bind a bunch of other things to grip + trigger. Alternatively, you can bind the drag rotation to layer 3, so holding grip and trigger will change the rotation.
Hi, I don't think there should be any changes to the tagging system between 0.11.7 and 0.11.8. Maybe there's some unintended side effect from the Meta button/bluetooth keyboard fixes that's causing the issue, though I'll need to try to reproduce the bug on my end. Can you double check that v0.11.7 works as intended, and try seeing if updating v0.11.8 again causes the issue?
When streaming PCVR to the Quest headset, the rendered image needs to be compressed, so this results in slightly worse image quality compared to the native Quest standalone app. The Quest standalone app also has better support for passthrough. On the other hand, PCVR has better codec support when using the DirectShow player backend with LAV filters. You might also get better framerate when using PCVR, since the RTX 4090 is much more powerful than the Quest3. I'd recommend testing both versions of the app with the free demo to see which you prefer.
Are you certain you're adding your folders correctly in step 4? For me, I have to manually type in the path of the folder, so something like:
C:\MyFolder\MyVideos
Then click on "Add new folder", and then make sure the folder is listed at the top, with the correct number of files. You might need to click on "Rescan all folders" near the top right.
Here are instructions to setup xbvr:
1. Download xbvr from here (make sure to select the correct one for your computer): https://github.com/xbapps/xbvr/releases
2. Run xbvr on your computer.
3. Launch your computer's web browser. Type in http://127.0.0.1:9999 to access the xbvr UI.
4. Go to xbvr options and add your folders with your videos.
5. Go to scrapers and add the sites that your videos came from.
6. After the scrapers finish running, go to files. Your videos and scripts should show up under matched. If they don't, go to unmatched, and then click on the match button, and select the correct scene for both your video and script.
7. Go back to xbvr options. Click on players. Make a note of the xbvr IP address, which probably starts with http://192. If you want to add the ability to delete files and sync data from HereSphere, click on the Heresphere tab, and then enable the corresponding toggles.
8. Launch HereSphere, go to the web browser, input the xbvr IP address from step 7 and press enter. If the page doesn't load, restart your devices like your router, PC, and headset. Press the web api button that looks like a play button on 4 tiles to the left of the input box. Alternatively, you can just append "/heresphere" onto the end of the xbvr IP address url.
9. Once the HereSphere web UI loads, click on a thumbnail to play the video. If you couldn't match some videos, click on the "unmatched" button near the top of the HereSphere web view UI.
To setup stash, you'll need to setup either stash-vr or the stash-vr-companion apps. Some of these require setting up a docker environment, which can be difficult to do. You can also just use DLNA, but that doesn't provide thumbnails, tags, or file deletion features.
I'd recommend restarting all your devices (computer, headset, and router). Possibly try going to the user settings in HereSphere and disable the Network SMB Device Scan toggle. Maybe try backing up your save data, then uninstall the app and reinstall it. Test to see if the issue still occurs, and if it doesn't, try reloading your saved data. Let me know if the issue persists.
If it's crashing at startup, it might be due to the network SMB device scan. Try disabling your wifi on your Quest headset, then launch HereSphere. If it doesn't crash, go to the user settings, and disable the "Network SMB Device Scan" toggle. You can then re-enable your wifi.
The "save backup" button in the HereSphere user settings saves it to the root folder of your Quest local storage under the folder "HereSphere". Not sure how having multiple accounts on the same headset affects this, as I haven't tested with multiple accounts.
