Thanks, I'll take a look into it when I get the chance. It might be a while, though.

Update v0.11.12 should work the Solace Pro. The movement synchronization isn't the best, but it's better than nothing. I'll try improving it when I have time.

There isn't a password manager for the built-in web browser. You can try checking the box to keep you logged in, but most websites will invalidate your login session after several days. Currently no workaround.

HereSphere is currently using Unreal Engine 4, which is still using SteamVR for PC and the Meta SDK for the Quest. In the process of switching to Unreal Engine 5, which will allow the use of OpenXR instead. Best bet for the short term is to wait for ALVR to add support.

The Quest apk won't work with the Samsung GalaxyXR. Waiting on Unreal Engine to add support for AndroidXR, and I'll take a look into creating a standalone app for the headset. In the meantime, the PC version might work with PCVR streaming apps like Virtual Desktop, though I haven't tested it yet.

I'll need to get a Solace Pro and test it. The current implementation is just a guess at the correct protocol.

The app requires a direct download link to stream the video in the native VR video player. Sometimes you can click on the icon in the upper left corner of the web browser that looks like a magnifying glass to list the video resources on the website, but sometimes those video resource links won't work depending on the website (could be it uses a one-time use token to access the video, so it can't be accessed outside of the web browser that made the initial request).

Still in development. Hopefully ready before the end of the year, though my estimates haven't been great lately.

I'll take a look into this when I have the chance.

First, try disabling your headset's wifi, and see if the app will launch. If it does, go to the HereSphere user settings and disable the "Network smb device scan" toggle. You can then re-enable your wifi. Else, try uninstalling the app, and then reinstall the app. This will wipe your saved data, though.

Can you try testing again? Another user reported a similar issue, but then it started working again. Could be the autoblow servers were temporarily malfunctioning. I just tested with my devices, and it appears to work normally.

Looks like NA has fixed the issue, and the HS web API should be working again with their site.

The issue is on NAVR's side. Their anti-bot security system is blocking requests made by HereSphere. They said they're working on it, but I don't know if or when it'll be fixed. You can try letting their support team know that the issue is important to you so they prioritize it.

If you have RT set to layer 2, then try setting the "Drag Rotation" keybinding to layer 2. For the medium seek keybinding, try using layer 3, which would require you to hold both the grip and trigger button down. This also opens up the ability to bind a bunch of other things to grip + trigger. Alternatively, you can bind the drag rotation to layer 3, so holding grip and trigger will change the rotation.

Oh that's weird. Probably a result of using Unreal Engine to develop VR apps, when everyone else uses Unity lol.

Sorry about the issue. The saved data probably got corrupted if clearing the data fixed the problem. XBVR is a good choice for managing your library.

Hi, I don't think there should be any changes to the tagging system between 0.11.7 and 0.11.8. Maybe there's some unintended side effect from the Meta button/bluetooth keyboard fixes that's causing the issue, though I'll need to try to reproduce the bug on my end. Can you double check that v0.11.7 works as intended, and try seeing if updating v0.11.8 again causes the issue?

It just uses the built in eye-tracking and hand gestures native to the AVP. I plan on adding support for bluetooth keyboard and gamepad in the future.

Yes

(1 edit)

Not sure if I'll release on testflight first, but I'll keep you guys updated if I do.

It's currently under development. Release should be ready in 1-2 months.

When streaming PCVR to the Quest headset, the rendered image needs to be compressed, so this results in slightly worse image quality compared to the native Quest standalone app. The Quest standalone app also has better support for passthrough. On the other hand, PCVR has better codec support when using the DirectShow player backend with LAV filters. You might also get better framerate when using PCVR, since the RTX 4090 is much more powerful than the Quest3. I'd recommend testing both versions of the app with the free demo to see which you prefer.

Are you certain you're adding your folders correctly in step 4? For me, I have to manually type in the path of the folder, so something like:

C:\MyFolder\MyVideos

Then click on "Add new folder", and then make sure the folder is listed at the top, with the correct number of files. You might need to click on "Rescan all folders" near the top right.

Not currently, but I'll add a way to hide it in the big UI update. In the meantime, you can create a separate profile by going to the user settings and typing in a profile name. That would keep the history in a separate profile, and you'd need to input that profile name to load it.

You can click on the "Global Settings" label (top left of the advanced video settings), and then choose one of the default presets.

Send an email to support@heresphere.com from the email you used to purchase the app on itch.io, and I can provide a meta store key.

There currently isn't a way to load external playlists. I plan on adding a way to edit the HereSphere media library with something like a JSON file, so maybe in the future you could add a playlist using this method.

I think you can make saved searches in XBVR and enable the "Use as DeoVR list" when you create the saved search so it'll appear at the top of the UI in the HereSphere web API mode.

Here are instructions to setup xbvr:

1. Download xbvr from here (make sure to select the correct one for your computer): https://github.com/xbapps/xbvr/releases

2. Run xbvr on your computer.

3. Launch your computer's web browser. Type in http://127.0.0.1:9999 to access the xbvr UI.

4. Go to xbvr options and add your folders with your videos.

5. Go to scrapers and add the sites that your videos came from.

6. After the scrapers finish running, go to files. Your videos and scripts should show up under matched. If they don't, go to unmatched, and then click on the match button, and select the correct scene for both your video and script.

7. Go back to xbvr options. Click on players. Make a note of the xbvr IP address, which probably starts with http://192. If you want to add the ability to delete files and sync data from HereSphere, click on the Heresphere tab, and then enable the corresponding toggles.

8. Launch HereSphere, go to the web browser, input the xbvr IP address from step 7 and press enter. If the page doesn't load, restart your devices like your router, PC, and headset. Press the web api button that looks like a play button on 4 tiles to the left of the input box. Alternatively, you can just append "/heresphere" onto the end of the xbvr IP address url.

9. Once the HereSphere web UI loads, click on a thumbnail to play the video. If you couldn't match some videos, click on the "unmatched" button near the top of the HereSphere web view UI.

To setup stash, you'll need to setup either stash-vr or the stash-vr-companion apps. Some of these require setting up a docker environment, which can be difficult to do. You can also just use DLNA, but that doesn't provide thumbnails, tags, or file deletion features.

I'd recommend restarting all your devices (computer, headset, and router). Possibly try going to the user settings in HereSphere and disable the Network SMB Device Scan toggle. Maybe try backing up your save data, then uninstall the app and reinstall it. Test to see if the issue still occurs, and if it doesn't, try reloading your saved data. Let me know if the issue persists.

Probably would need to add bluetooth support for the Handy, bc wifi mode only allows scripts or basic up/down movement.

If it's crashing at startup, it might be due to the network SMB device scan. Try disabling your wifi on your Quest headset, then launch HereSphere. If it doesn't crash, go to the user settings, and disable the "Network SMB Device Scan" toggle. You can then re-enable your wifi.

The "save backup" button in the HereSphere user settings saves it to the root folder of your Quest local storage under the folder "HereSphere". Not sure how having multiple accounts on the same headset affects this, as I haven't tested with multiple accounts.

The latest updates should support _LRF (or _SBSF) file naming convention to specify full side-by-side, which will halve the aspect ratio.

I'll add the option to switch the date format to the to-do list.

The current passthrough method doesn't work well with black, since it relies on an having actual color vector to work with. I'll add more passthrough options in the future that can deal with this use case.

I'll add it to the to-do list for the big UI update.

I'm not too sure. It's possible that your DLNA server is transcoding it to a different format that the player can play, or there might be something with the SMB setup that's preventing the player from accessing that specific video. Do you have the video specs (resolution, video and audio codec, bit depth, bit rate)?

Hi, are you using bluetooth headphones? Meta's recent OS updates have caused some issues with bluetooth audio, so I'd recommend switching to wired headphones, or ones that use wifi instead.

It'll be updated to the correct controller model in the big UX update later this year.
