The game's artstyle is so chunky and charming. Honestly it's really inspiring me for my next game! All the buttons and sliders have a great tactile and audio feedback to them, to the point i just like clicking around to hear them. great job!

I don't play many parkour games, but this one was really fun! Especially under the pressure of the impending darkness. Bracing when having to land was pretty difficult to time though and i often missed it. The HUD and light and dark transitions are so smooth and pleasing to the eye as well. Great job!!
This game is so beautiful. Gorgeous hand-drawn art, beautiful music and an interesting creative mechanic with a nice narrative. Honestly if there's one complaint is that I often got stuck and spent several minutes on a level. It'd be nice for each gear to have a tooltip if you hover over it directly in game to know exactly how it works instead of having to go down to the description each time. Well done to all of the team!
The game is really fun to play and the whole premise is hilarious! it's kinda like a 2d Hotline Miami. I had a few issues though (playing with KBM):
- aiming upwards to jump and dash was pretty frustrating. sometimes i wasn't even able to jump through the opening hole especially if there was a vampire killed on that opening.
- when a level ends you can still fire the cross bow and waste an arrow for no reason
- enemies are usually close together, so there wasn't really an incentive to use the crossbow or sword instead of just dashing through all of them.
- enemy pathfinding is kinda strange. for example if i break through an upper cellar door, and an enemy sees me but i fall down to the lower level, the enemy above me just keeps mirroring my movements instead of chasing me and going down to the lower level by itself.
- countdown timer isn't easily readable. the black countdown text melts with the busy stopwatch art, so its hard to know exactly how much time is left.
Besides all of that, it's a really cool and engaging game. Awesome work!
i love the 2.5d style and voice acting, only problem i had is that moving platforms states arent visible from afar (or maybe thats just my poor eyesight lol) and blending into the normal tiles, so it was difficult to know when a platform was turned etc, especially if the camera was largely blocking yume and the platforms with a closer object. nevertheless, well done!
Hi! This is my first game jam and I misunderstood the itch submission flow.
I joined the jam and clicked “Submit your project” when I first started, but I didn’t realize the game page had to be public and selected/confirmed again before the deadline. I finished the game and the page is public now, but submissions closed before I caught that Papa Dance! wasn’t listed.
Game link: https://heaviin.itch.io/papa-dance
Is there any chance it can still be manually added, or included unofficially? totally understand if not, I just wanted to ask because I genuinely didn’t know how the itch submission step worked.
Hi! Thank you for doing this! I’d love to submit Papa Dance! for the stream. It isn't public yet, but it'll be the same link here:
