This is my favorite submission in this Jam! I had a blast playing this and beat all 10 levels. At first, I thought level 6+ was suddenly getting really difficult... until I found out that I can use cards and place tanks directly onto the battlefield! What a life-changing discovery that was! :D Anyway, fantastic job on this game, and looking forward to future updates!

Hey, thank you for trying and giving feedback! Can you please tell me on what device and operating system you are trying it on so I can debug the tutorial getting stuck?
Also, for the game rooms, the ones that already exist may be in-game already. You can create a new room and start your own game or join a room that is in "waiting" status. If you join our discord, I would love to play test a session at your convenience and get further feedback from you. Thank you!
Really cute cat and art style! I got to the final stage (put all the ingredients in and stirred the pot the right direction) but wasn't able to finish the ritual before time ran out. I think I wasted too much time looking for the cat whisker charm earlier in the game lol. :( Just wondering what was I supposed to do after putting in all the ingredients? (Also had fun walking through the window hehehe)
Much better! The health bars gave me enough context so I knew to use hit-and-run strategy when my health bar is low. I also learned to parry and was able to take on 3 skeletons at a time by running, parrying, and striking back. I made it to the boss on my 2nd try but sadly wasn't able to defeat him. I think I should've saved up my fireballs for the boss. I'll have to try again later, but looking forward to future updates on this! :)
Idk if bug or just bad luck, but the two times I lost, there simply weren't enough gems to get to the target $$. First time, I thought maybe because I didn't buy enough luck clovers, but second time, I bought lucky clovers bonus twice, and after clearing everything (including rocks), I was still 700+ away.
Really clever idea! I like how you can treat it as a word puzzle and/or tetris-like game. I managed to get over 1 million but had to go so ended it early. One thing I really love is the sound effects when I scroll to tweak the order of the letters; makes me feel like I'm cracking a safe!
Only suggestion I have is maybe an option to pause (and black out screen so no cheating) so I can take a break after a long game and resume later. Not sure if this already exists/maybe I didn't find it.
Love the look and feel of the game, and the skeletons being smart enough to open doors definitely scared the crap out of me the first time!
One possible improvement: I find the combat a bit difficult (maybe not enough feedback to know whether I'm actually hitting the skeleton or how many times I need to hit it; also the right-click parry option timing must be super strict or I'm just really newbie).
Thanks for the feedback! I will run some tests on Mac Safari and see if I can recreate what you saw. Did the dice never roll or did something weird happen (stuck) after dice roll? Did it tell you to walk on the yellow-highlighted grid?
Good idea on the story rewatch. For text, there's an option to toggle hints off in the settings and also via the light bulb in-game, but I can definitely space out the text a little bit. Perhaps there's info overload on the first turn xD
First of all, really love the visuals and the different weapon types/bonuses! I got to the boss on story mode but chose the wrong weapon so unfortunately didn't beat him. Then I tried Endless mode which was really fun too!
One thing I was a bit confused about was how health/lives works. Is it always one-hit kill?
Brought back memories of a game that I spent many hours playing when I was in high school! :D Anyway, some feedback.
Definitely has potential as a POC, and I can tell you put a lot of thought into the various attributes, items, buffs, attack types, etc. The flip side of the complexity (which is something I like) is that it could be overwhelming for new players at first. When you take this to the next level, I'd suggest adding in-game hints or a player manual or both.
In terms of the UI arrangement, the home page looks very busy with both player stats/attributes, shop, and moves bar at the bottom. Maybe have a collapse/expand option or a different shop button to open/close.
Action bar: it seems to have unlimited slots? Maybe consider limiting the bar to a fixed number of moves/actions. OR... One thing I found confusing initially with the action bar was a lack of clear delineation between different types of actions. I eventually figured it out, but for the first 2 minutes I was wondering why I couldn't use my "spell" on an enemy.
I think I might've run into you whilst completing a dungeon; having a team mate definitely made it more fun, especially for a low level newbie like me. :D
