Incredible work! It's great to see someone else made a hex-based kingdom-building game too!

Thank you so much for playing! I really appreciate you spending so much time in it. It honestly means a lot to see someone enjoying it and getting that far!

That’s a really cool idea! I think I’ll start using it instead of just browsing through the submissions window to find new games to play. Great job!

Thank you very much for the kind words! It really means a lot!

I’m happy you liked it! Thank you very much for feedback!

Thank you for checking out the game! I’m really glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for checking out the game and for the lovely feedback!

Thanks a lot for playing and for such kind words! I’m really happy you enjoyed the game.

Thanks a lot for playing! I really liked your idea for the starting scene — I’ll definitely try to add something like that if I continue working on the game after the jam.

Thanks a lot for playing and for such detailed feedback! I totally agree with your points.

Maybe after the jam ends, I’ll continue working on it for a while and try to fix these issues to make the experience more enjoyable.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write such thoughtful feedback — it helps a lot!

Thank you so much! This honestly made my day.  I’m not actually sure how to DM on itch.io, but you can email me at eduard.abdullin42@gmail.com. Thanks again for the incredibly kind words!

The end screen art and music are an absolute banger! It was really fun to play. The only downside is that it’s too short - I wanted more!

The game is awesome! It's incredible what you managed to make in such a short amount of time. The voice acting is hilarious - I hope you recorded it yourself!

I kind of wish I could just hang out with those dancing guys in the locked room

The characters are awesome! I really enjoyed the gameplay, and I think this game deserves a lot more attention. Great job!

I like the visual style and the idea! The buttons sometimes didn't respond right after I clicked them, but besides that, it was fun!

Very clever take on the theme! Loved the aesthetics.

The visual art is awesome! I definitely wasn't expecting for a shooting penguins

How It Started vs How It Ended

I always enjoy seeing how game jam projects evolve, so I thought I'd share mine too.

Day 1

The jam theme was COUNTDOWN, and honestly... I completely wasted the first day experimenting with ideas that went nowhere.

Only near the end of the day did the actual concept finally click: a king fleeing a natural disaster with his kingdom—or at least whatever he could manage to save. The disaster itself became the countdown constantly chasing the player.

Not the most efficient start, but at least I finally had a direction.

Day 2

The second day was much more productive.

I managed to put together a combat system and a resource-based building mechanic. Ironically, I also managed to break the combat right before submissions, so the jam build doesn't play nearly as well as it did earlier that day.

Looking back, I definitely should have spent the last hours polishing instead of making "just one more change."

Day 3

Unfortunately I don't have any footage from this day (sorry!), but this is when I finished the procedural level generator.

Days 3–4 (The Sleep-Deprived Finale)

From the third day into the fourth... I basically didn't sleep.

I was determined to implement the "buy new land" mechanic before the deadline. It fought me every step of the way, and for a while I was convinced it wasn't going to happen at all.

Somehow I managed to make it work just in time.

Out of everything in the project, the falling hex tiles are still my favorite effect. Seeing new land literally drop into the world made all the frustration worth it.

Game jams are always a mix of bad decisions, last-minute fixes, panic, and somehow ending up with something you're actually proud of.

If you've read this far—thank you!

I'd love to see your own How It Started vs How It Ended screenshots or GIFs. Feel free to share them in the comments!

Also would be very appreciated if you play my game and give some feedback! https://hasuverse.itch.io/hurry-up-were-moving-out/devlog/1606422/how-it-started...

Thanks a lot for playing and for such detailed feedback! I totally agree that the pacing can feel a bit slow in some moments. I was trying to leave some room for the player to figure out what to do, especially since I didn’t have enough time to properly make a tutorial during the jam

Thanks!  Yeah, but for the next jam I think I’ll try to stick to a simpler idea so I can spend more time polishing the game, because unfortunately not everything works exactly as intended right now

Thank you very much for playing!

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback! I totally understand the confusion — I had a tutorial planned, but unfortunately didn’t have enough time to implement it during the jam.

I’m glad the panic of losing land came through, as that was one of the main feelings I wanted the game to create. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts — i really apreciate it!

Really interesting idea! Loved how the game becomes more complex over time with the addition of the second voice.

Thanks a lot for playing! Yeah, I got a little too excited adding a lot of features, so I didn’t have enough time to make the tutorial. I’ll definitely try to keep the scope smaller for the next jam

Thank you very much for playing! Yeah, I thought this might become a problem and planned to add other ways to get resources, but unfortunately didn’t have enough time to finish them.

Already done!:)

The art style is stunning! The game was a little challenging for me, but I absolutely loved the aesthetics and the overall vibes. Good job!

Hurry Up! We're Moving Out!

The kingdom isn't under attack... The world is just falling apart.

Build a tiny kingdom, harvest resources, hire loyal subjects, and earn enough to buy the next piece of land before your current one disappears into the abyss. Then pack everything into caravans, shout "Move! Move! Move!", and do it all over again.

No pressure. The apocalypse has a schedule.

Very interesting take on the theme! It’s surprisingly addictive — I ended up with 11,028 playing on zeros. Loved it!

It’s amazing what you managed to create in such a short amount of time! The art, characters, animations — everything looks sooo good. I really hope you continue development and that we’ll get to see a full version someday!

The animations on the main character made my day! Such a great idea and a really well-done execution. Loved it!

The art style looks really cool and the player’s field of view effect is sick.

I died during the tutorial while shooting my own blood — no regrets

The visual effects and art style are stunning! I didn’t find the “Continue” button right away, but besides that, it’s a simple and clever idea. I really enjoyed it!

Thank you very much!

The guy at the timer and the event cards look very cool! I initially thought the buildings on the left affected the temperature, so I placed them in the hottest areas — then I discovered the rules button, which I somehow managed to skip at the start.

But aside from that, I really enjoyed it!

Can’t say no to a proper “meow”. The art style looks amazing!

Very cute art style! The game looks incredibly polished considering the short amount of time you had - great job!

Maybe it’s just me, but I kept trying to press E to get on top of the blocks

Loved the aesthetics! Really cool idea and execution. It would be even better if my actions had more consequences, like accidentally emailing a goofy painted picture to the boss and having to deal with the outcome
