You do a lot of really cool things with the possession mechanic in this game! Also, the music and sounds (especially the win jingle) feel really well done.

The balancing was a big issue as we were playing, because believe it or not, most of the perks were nerfed at least once in the last few hours of development. Still a lot more work for us to do in that category!

Great gameplay! I love the top-down shooter take on the theme and prerequisite, and the gameplay feels polished.

For the future, I’d love to see you add some drag and position smoothing to the Camera2D so that your player character isn’t always in the direct center of the screen.

Cool game! I enjoyed gathering the pages and dodging the enemies, and the attack telegraphing that the enemies do gives you some warning to get out of the way, which is great!

Crazy cool how you managed to map pretty much every platformer mechanic to the same key!

Cool game! Love the integration of Doom into a 2D bullet hell game, with the cool shield throwing mechanic!

Amazing game! Difficulty is a bit hard, but it forces you to choose the right upgrades as you die and continue on. Particle effects are great, but it would be cool to also see some dynamic lighting effects in the future.

As a sidenote, if you don’t want the split-second freeze when your particle effects first load, preload the particle effect in a global that runs on launch (like seen here)
