No thank YOU for makingcool art!
Yeah I kind of hate the word cringe but like, yeah. I think it kind of needed to be authentically raw cringe in a way only something you really regret saying 5 years later feels like lmao.
And on the escapism point I definitely relate to what you mean. Sometimes, especially i think in this case with the chronic pain this person is in, something consistent can be your whole world and it sucks to have something that you really care about almost like "betray" you? Or take a turn you wouldn't want. and you're right. it IS funny to have a robot try to navigate all of that lmao.

I don't really talk a lot online generally but I feel like because it comes up in this it almost feels like im engaging with the text just to speak in an open forum about it.
I think the opening felt both frustrating and sad, (not like, with the game, but as the game intended I believe) to watch Millie engage online in such a highly reactive way despite having a clear need to socialize. It resonated with me.
The part about anime made me think about a song by Kevin and the Bikes about a guy who has seen the show Ed, Edd and Eddie so many times that it has consumed his life and helped him stamp out any sense of maturity that could have been growing by reliving the lives of children over and over again. Closing out his friends and family as people who just don't get it.
It made me think about our lovely meatsacks and how our lives and self-perceptions are framed by biology in a way that makes true independent self-hood from things like gender, bodily health and attraction very difficult, society aside.
I enjoyed my time quite a bit and the art was striking and unique. The description of seeing someone through an eye was probably my favorite part. The red and machine UI elements felt very OG terminator for some reason to me, which I love so it felt very cozy and nasty at the same time. Shout out the terminator.
Greetings fish fans. Good Evening.
This game was really cute. I think its world building maintained a fine line between nonsensical and grounded. I really believe the Steppe could exist and I like this post-boom ghost town vibe that was portrayed by the opening. I also think the wiggle room left to include characters like Mr. Sun made the world open to stuff like funny streaming. Funny the shrimps 4. And ultimately this kind of felt like the comfy experience of eating at a diner after seeing a very frightening horror movie or something like that. Cozy, little spooky cause its dark out. Yeah vuv
I think Solea in general is the standout here for me character-wise. Her narration and voice throughout the script makes the more serious parts of the world blend with the silly. I think it does sell that she's able to break through to this ancient fish woman. Which I think is another important part of what worked for me here.
The art is beautiful, genuinely and though a lot of it seems to be still in sketching phase it seems to be really setting up an impressive world.
I think the only thing I wondered was, will there be more? The story seems over but the food mechanic wasn't really touched and there was an option for fish...(cannibalism?).... I'd like to see more.
I liked this game! It was cute and had a lot of funny moments (+the streamer part was very relatable lmao). The world building here was also very nice, felt like there was a lot going on in it that was only for the background. I specifically enjoyed her discovering life again in a place she believed it to be gone, that struck pretty well. And of course a lovely sweet bit of yuri!
Coming at this from the toxic yuri jam- it didn't feel incredible toxic but there was definitely some elements there with the stalking and bad ends.
And of course the art and music was incredible. Wonderful job there- really felt like these characters were able to be fully brought to life!
Thank you for the game, hope that all of you keep making some in the future! ^_^
This is so so so fucking cute! Well, as cute as a game about suicide can be. I loved the style, the art, the music, pretty much everything around it.
I can't help but wonder what a longer story in this kind of format would be like- it's a strange way to experience queer art. Like I'm being pulled back to a version of the past that was as accepting of gay expression as we are now. I can imagine little me under the blanket playing this one and.... well probably being traumatized considering the content. But that to say I really enjoy what you're doing here!
Hope to see more art from you around. Your style feels super unique and that is so beautiful.
Thank you for sharing this with us! <3
Greetings. I hope you're having a good evening.
Somehow what impressed me most about this short lil thing is how it managed to both authentically discuss the subject of suicide while also choosing to not take itself entirely seriously.
On the serious side of things, I think the symbolism with "bottling up my feelings" being layered over a cracking bottle of liquor (i suppose it could have been soda but that didn't really feel like the vibe) almost took my breath away. Very evocative without really saying anything. I think this story plays so well by showing us things that add context to what the text is doing without TALKING about it directly. There were two bottles of medication on that sink. There's a lot that says without you really needing to say anything else. This person is clearly suffering, and i sympathized with them a lot.
On the funnies. I thought they were all tasteful and very lovely. The pacing was just excellent. Every sad moment felt like it had its space before the sillies jumped back in.
Such a fun story that had me gripped from start to finish. Excellent work :))))))
PS. I like the funky text on this page rlly cool :)
Wowowowowow! This got me super invested by the end. Was a bit confused with the beginning about who we were following and what exactly was going on, but after I understood I got very invested super quickly.
Very well written characters, lovely language, and tasteful amounts of horny! All coming together into a great time!
Also loved the use of 3d and irl assets, we love mixed media here at the coven! And know that takes a lot of work to get in there so it's awesome to see. Awesome experience, thank you for the gay mech shit(and plz give us more!) <3
Hello. How are you all.
I enjoyed your game. Quite a bit, actually. On several levels. I think even knowing that this is a smaller piece, I would still say this stands alone as a pretty strong short story with a very well defined speaker.
I think the detail that perhaps captures me the most is that Lavender could have probably left this regime at any time to return to Violet but refuses to do so out of spite. That the "Violet leaving her" narrative she has constructed is so burned into her that even getting to her easily cannot be an option because violet need to return to her in her own field of view, through this war they were both trained for together.
The sound and music was really great :) the way it all felt kind of like teeth grinding against each other had me at the edge of my seat. I also think the intro was straight genius. That alarm? Hell yeah. The displays coming on with each siren. FUCK yeah. I was locked in.
I WANNA SEE WHAT HAPPENS. Looking forward to more. :)))))))))))))))
I'm a huge fan of the ace attorney games so playing this just gave me soo much nostalgia for those. I also enjoyed the sense of humor tied with the more serious parts.
Definitely gave me that icky feeling with how that Jet guy talked to them- which you need in a toxic yuri I think.
Very very lovely! I hope you keep going!!!
My goodness!! This is my favorite so far! I loved the vibes and art- it really made me feel like I was a investigator for a fascist communist government
I also like the idea of having her using her ability making her forget things, I wonder what kind of consequences choosing to do that could have in a long run.
Thank you for the game- hopefully more people comment in here cus god damn it's good!
Hello. Greetings.
Loved this. All of it. The supernatural elements in this were absolutely fantastic. I'm a huge sucker for well defined, consistent powers or story elements and Nadya's psychic abilities were a lovely little thorough line for us to see this story through. Absorbing memories through objects lends to very good detective game play. It was fun piecing it all together.
I also think that the voice for Nadya was extremely distinct in the narration. I could feel her tiredness as the story went on and got a little worried for her towards the end. Great work. Really truly excited to see more.
oh and im just seeing the soundtrack was original. Damn. it was very slick. Added a weird noir-ish vibe. Good stuff.
We loooove spooky gay shit in this coven yes we do.
Was especially excited to see this weird freak in the cafe. Very cool character design.
Hey ! Loved this :) good work team. The variety of backgrounds and the animations of the character sprites took this to the next level. The atmosphere of the Ace Attorney inspiration was very inspired let the story have fun in ways I haven't seen in a lot of other submissions. The toxic was there, but it wasn't afraid to get pretty silly, which is something I enjoyed a lot.
Shout out to the dumb gay cop. (but fuck cops also)
