You have 3 days to put 3 hours in the active development of a game, it's simple as that !

It's simple. You have 3 days to make a game in 3h. The only thing must be in these 3h is the actual developement of the game (coding, visuals, audio)  all other thing didn't count (planning, brainstorming, designing level, building and uploading). And you can split these 3h like you want during the 3 days. This jam isn't about crunching all the weekend but help you to be well organized and efficient.

Thanks for your comment! You're right; I should have reduced the time between the rolls (I did it, but not enough, it seems). And you're also right about the clicker mechanism. Sadly, I'm not familiar enough with clicker games to make it a good clicker; the clicker vibes here are entirely unintentional, haha.

Thx ! Yes, it's relaxing. I even find myself playing it when I'm bored, haha.

I chose not to roll the dice for several reasons. Firstly, to save development time, and secondly to minimize the time between two rolls. Yes, I added very basic effects to the bonuses, again due to time constraints, and to maintain a decent game speed. The original concept was based on having a limited number of rolls to reach 1,000,000. The X2 and X10 bonuses were then replaced by various bonuses that you could choose to improve your chances of reaching this score. If, once the number of rolls was exhausted, you hadn't managed to reach the required score, you could buy dice faces with the round's score to customize the dice and increase your chances of making combinations to trigger the bonuses. And so on, until you managed to reach the score of 1,000,000.

Nice concept ! I loved the game, the visual and the sound ! You did a really great job !

I'm wondering how the scoring works. You earned point when you dodge an attack or each time you performe a roll ? Because I had the feeling that my score was better when I...well... keep rolling even without being in a range of an attack haha

Damn this railroad is really not straight maybe they had some issues during the building haha

Good idea, loved the visuals !

The theme is well respected, maybe too much respected haha Well done !

Cute visuals, that frog is so ROUND haha loved it!

The jump are very tricky to timed haha

Cool and cute little game !

Loved the visuals! This Mr. Toad is very lucky that the physic isn't realistic haha!

Great job!

Great concept even if the controls are a bit rough. It's a good start !

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, there's no challenge. I overscoped way too much, and I had to improvise with the gameplay elements I had time to implement, haha.

Loved the puzzle-plateformer concept. Visuals are good and make the game clear. Nice level design too. Good job!

Great use of the theme. It's a bit hard to controls two characters at the same time but it's just the time to be used to. Good work!

I'm not sure if I have understood everything but the concept fits well the theme.

Great use of the theme! Cool little game, I now know that I should forget my legal career!

Interesting idea. As the other comment say it would have been welcomed to have checkpoints.

Well done!

Woaw what a clever concept! Loved the variety in levels design too!

Visuals are simple but its working well! And all that in less than 3h, very well done!!

The concept fits well the theme and the visuals are as stylish as there are cute. Loved the music too!

The gameplay is on point and provide a good challenge. Well done!

(Well I'm maybe not too objective since I followed the game's development on your live stream, haha.)

Great use of the theme! I loved the level design, there just some visuals that aren't very clear on what is their effects but it's ok! Good job!

I have created a project for another jam with the theme of ink. I was only able to work on it for 4 hours, and I was frustrated that I didn't have the time to put as much effort into it as I wanted, resulting in an unfinished project. So I'm wondering if this jam allows previously made projects?

At my first try I tried to smash them all haha

Great game with a very good vibes! Loved the voice!

You are brave to choose that kind of game in a 3hours jam haha

The visuals are really great, congrats! Sadly I'm really bad at this kind of game so I was able to finish a turn haha

Very great use of the theme! I'm not a big fan of the visuals but it's fine enough! Well done!

Great art style, there is heart pull in this game. Well done!

Cool visuals and great concept! I had to zoom out my web browser to see all the screen haha

Thank you! Yes, it was planned to splatter ink if you took too much time to perform the correct input. A ink refill mechanic was also planned, which would also cause some splashes if not performed well. Then, you would have needed to clean them up with the piece of blotting paper. Finally, at the end of the game, there should have been a reaction from Elisabeth based on how well you succeeded in writing the letter. But I had only 4 hours to make the game, so I had to scrap all of that, sadly...

Pretty cool game! I loved the concept and the visuals! Very well done!

I loved the graphics so much!

Fun game, well done!

I had never said "oops" the much in such a short time haha

Well done, this means the game is a success haha

Really good concept and great visuals! The eraser is a bit unpleasent to move but I can understand it is this way for gameplay purpose. There is a great gameplay variation during the game. Well done!

It's a big challenge to do a card game in a jam haha!

Well it's a good base to improve on. With some polish it could become a really great card game!

I had a bug, when I used a "don't end turn" card on all the character during the same turn, I was stuck here because the turn never end haha

I have nobody to fully try the game but it looks great! Well done!

Nice visuals but I was quicky lost in the game. I didn't understand what was the purpose of the inkwell too. With some more work the game can be really great! Kepp going!

A pretty simple shmup but controlling 3 spaceships is an interesting take.

The game is pretty simple, maybe with a few additional features it could become more enjoyable ^^'

Keep going!

Wow I didn't expected to see a game this polish in this jam. What an amazing game!!!

The typing controls are a great idea, and you even manage to adjust the difficulty with a test!

I would have liked there to be a bonus after the imposed long word that appears sometimes, for example, having the same letters in the words all validated at once. The bonus duration could have been based on the time it took to type the long word!

It is a very very great work! Congrats!

I tried to play the game but the shoot button seems to do nothing (just a damage sound) so I don't understand what was going on ^^'

Controling the two characters was hard because the camera was focusing on only one of them sadly.

With some improvement the game could become quite good!

Was confusing at first but I managed to create ink. It was quite stressfull doing that while avoiding enemies haha Well done!

The controls are the true challenge of this game haha

Nice idea and good visuals, well done!
