Super Cave Runner DX is an endless runner game I created in 28 days. It runs in your browser and can be controlled by keyboard, mouse, or gamepad. The game can be found at: https://gw0001.itch.io/super-cave-runner-dx

The aim of the game is to see how far you can get. You'll automatically build up speed when running on the ground, but as you venture further you will encounter hazards. To progress further, you'll have to avoid hazards by jumping and changing the colour of your armour.

The game also keeps track of your best distance. However, due to limitations with Unity WebGL/my programming knowledge, the game will only keep record of your best distance whilst the game is running. If you close the browser or change page, your best score will be forgotten.

I'd be interested in what people have to say about this game. If you encounter any bugs, think something needs improving, have something to say about the game, or want to brag about your best score - please get in touch.

Hope you enjoy it!

Hello! I'm a soon-to-be games development graduate and I'm pretty new to itch.io.

For a university module, I developed a toy real-time path-tracer with the Unity game engine. It was built with a few C# scripts and a HLSL compute shader. The compute shader runs on DX11, so RTX graphics cards are not required to run the application. However, performance will vary depending on how old the graphics card is.  If performance is an issue, you can adjust the resolution of the application.

I'm planning on updating this every now and then to improve performance further and add extra features, such as volumetric fog, textures, PBR, etc. A few screenshots from the application are shown below and the link to the application is also included.
