Thanks for the feedback!

I made it hard intentionally, since I’m personally more into hardcore Souls-like games. At the same time, I made sure there are no dead ends and that the game is technically passable from start to finish without losing any health. I should probably mention that somewhere.

That said, to get through the levels, you need to learn the mechanics and layouts with each replay. For the final product, the learning curve should probably be smoother than it is now. Your point totally makes sense.

For me personally, there’s still solid replayability in trying to beat a stage again, since I always find them challenging but fair and realistically beatable.

Also, losing the multi-gun on respawn is kind of by design, since it encourages you to clear the level without dying if you want to keep the best gun possible.

With all that in mind, do you think you could still find the game enjoyable because of the challenge and the feeling of mastering it? Or did you mostly feel lost and want to drop it?

Glad to hear that, thanks for the review!

Yeah, that’s a tricky spot, but it’s totally passable. You can make it easier by jumping onto the upper platform before the disappearing platforms. That way, you won’t have any jump momentum and can jump to the next one faster. You can also shortcut the third one with a dash. This part requires you to master the controls a bit.

Also, overall, do you like this kind of UI, or do you think the game might benefit from pixel art instead? I’m new to game dev, so I’m trying to understand what works best before jumping into more work.

You are a germ. You got in on a doorknob, and the immune system is only just starting to work out that you are there.

Two organs, two bosses. The second one takes the floor away entirely — you sink, you swim, and so does everything hunting you.

I am one person and this demo is how I decide whether to build the rest, so any impression helps: what felt good, what did not, whether the swimming clicked.

Thanks for playing.
