more is on the way :D you can sign up to test if youd like! https://forms.gle/FpEQu7XMaTcsGCdcA

I was worried about losing as it got harder, but was happy to see it was very jam friendly and let me keep playing. I fell from an A to an E rank, and had a blast along the way!

Really loved the the aesthetics of this, however I was far to bad at this control scheme to kill more than 3 enemies 😅 I definitely want to play more if you decide to do further updates 👀

Really cool idea, but as many and you have found, it was quite difficult. I would have liked to input directions using keyboard or gamepad, this would have helped input quick.

Really cute game and platforming felt nice! Great work

This is a fun mowed-type game. and is really well polished.  I rock a C rank average.

Incredibly well fleshed out game, really good platforming mechanics that takes everything it throws at you and tests you in different ways.

The aesthetics and theme takes what is a well executed puzzle game so much further. Really well done!

Fun mechanic for an arena shooter, though I struggled a bit with the charge gun and the one shot kills. Great work!

I transcended the heavens and was able to look at myself from an outside perspective. What a wonderful game, how has this onyly been rated by 5 people?!

My only real complaint are the controls aren't the greatest, but honestly I would pay for a cleaned up and polished version of this. Well done.

Cute game! I eventually got stuck, but mixing together the colours was a fun idea!

Cool game, I like the idea of mapping the spells to whatever button you want. Admittedly I had a tough time with the control scheme, I felt like I couldn't move where I wanted to easily enough. I wasn't able to find any enemies to test my spells on :(

Really nice entry, but I was a little on the tough side for me so I wasn't able to beat it. I think a smaller hitboxes on the player would do wonders for the gameplay, and simplifying some of the puzzles could help as well. The puzzle I stopped on was with the 4 running dudes at the bottom left that you had to synchronize to stop the spikes.

I had fun with what I played and really enjoyed it!

This was really nice! I enjoyed the aesthetic, the music swapping was a nice touch, and I had a good time with the gameplay.

Ooph, I thought I fixed that! Thanks for playing and the feedback!!

Really well executed, the reveal of the second mode was really cool. Great work :D

The music syncing goes hard and the aesthetics are super well done! Wish things were a little easier so I could play around with it more. Great work!

Honestly a lot of fun, will likely come back to it!

Loved the card art and aesthetics of the game, as well ast he muisc! I would have liked to see more interaction with the gameplay as it felt like I didn't have much control

Really cool game, was one of the ideas I wanted to play with, but I think you took it further than I could have hoped to,  Excellent atmosphere too

Ahh that makes sense! I think I may have tried to mash through the text and accidentally re-activated the switch 😅

I was hoping to see more but got stuck on the second level :( Ghost talked for a while but didn't tell me how to use low power mode. At some point I was unable to move (but could still pick stuff up) and had to restart.

Would have loved to play more, wish there was an endless mode! Good work

Really well done! My only piece of feedback is I wish I could input my moves a lot faster, but that may be because I'm not super strategic :D

(1 edit)

Such wonderful music, the game has a great vibe! I found the pacing to be a bit off, at first there were not enough enemies, and then I was suddenly swarmed. Really cool game either way!

p.s. the colour contrast on the itch page text and background is really low, I had to highlight the text to read anything

Frog op! I would have liked to play more but I died after and restarted from the beginning. Really solid game and would love to see the tongue polished!

Good use of the theme and I wanted to see more, though I found the platforming controls a bit clunky and made it hard to continue through the levels

Love the audio and fun execution on the theme, tho I wish I was a little better as I died a lot 😅

Really well done on the theme and presentation,  amazing execution across the board!

wonderful aesthetic and incredibly polished!

That's appreciated more than your know! 😊

Hi Dream! Due to a new job and general life stressors, update have been coming along slow! I'm hoping to start up development soon, which would be the release of the level editor update. Next update would include top down and should follow quicker!

Definitely planned! Will likely be a focus after this upcoming update. Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks so much! No promises, but it's something I'd like to attempt! No eta at this point.

Super glad you've found it useful! This is an interesting idea, but I may end up solving this in a different way. I am hoping to be able to flesh out custom actions to be further defined.for example you could set a custom action to be "walk", which would be used if moving under x speed. Or set it to turning, double jump, dash, etc.

This won't be in this update, but I'll start looking into this for potentially the next update after that.

Thank you so much, and I appreciate the suggestions!

have plans to expand the custom animations to have selectable actions, such as double jump, dash, shoot, etc. I'm not certain they will be in the -next- update as I am focusing on getting tile sets and top down actors in, but most likely the update to follow~

I just put in another custom animation slot today! May see about adding more once I build out the UI more!

I get you re: squash and stretch, I'll look into it!
