Purchased - can't find english version

Oh I already use invokeai, automatic1111, etc in Linux. I actually use StabilityMatrix to make it even easier for myself :)

Cheers. Thanks for the heads up.  Not sure if I can make it talk to a Linux build of Automatic, otherwise I'd need to load it up in a VM

possible for a linux release at all?

I'm curious in regards to the engine you are using to create this? What did you  use?  Also nice use of Stable Diffusion to create your art :)

Purchased :)

This is one stylised ren'py game - I damn love everything about this.  You have subverted my expectations in presentation and style for a Visual Novel and that is what I always look for. Amazing :)  What is the best to contact you outside of itch btw?

Hi Kia was wondering if you could post some screenshots of the UI's on these product pages?  Would love to see some shots, even if it is a youtube video before I commit to a $20 purchase per UI.

I must say this is some of the most refined ui work I've seen in Ren'py for a long time.  I've been looking into the engine a lot lately your game definetly stands out.  Also love your use of multiple music audio channels to make a dynamic soundtrack,

Please don't :)

The amount of times I've played it over and over.. Hahahahaha

I find it so interesting that you are continuing working on this as you go..  I reckon you should probably reign it and make weekly updates.. I'd look forward more to that ;)

Also found another bug at the end of Day 3.  The transitions to your home make the music get quite loud and then back to normal volume quite quickly.  Probably need to fix the audio transition,

I also noticed a conversation portrait of the main character appear as the screen fades in back in at your home at the end of day as well.

**

Overall loving this game, looking forward to the next chapter.  Love how you incorporated the "yellow king".  I haven't seen a reference to that in quite a while - the last reference I saw in modern media was True Detective :)

Great work as always.

On a side note found a bug where the old man's portrait with the itchy cast displays instead of the main character's avatar.

Great work so far, I still offer my musical services btw .. can churn out tunes really quickly ;)

yaaay

Awesome - look forward to when you come back to the project - you've inspired me to do a similar kind of project :)

Finally completed day 2,  I would love to offer my services in getting different aspect ratios working in your code if you don't mind as i have a 32:9 and 21:9 monitor.  I would also love to offer my musical services for free :)

Loving this game.

More than happy to help, know a ton of VA's if you want my help.  You can add me on discord at grahfmusic

Also could you make it so when trying to decipher maybe allow for the player to have an image of the poem and photos when trying it in the safe. Got really tiresome listening to her re-read the poem - over and over.  Just feedback - you can ignore if need be :)

Also the aging puzzle, I'm stumped - I'm little stumped with the multiple number puzzles.  I'm terrible at riddles. Help somehow - argh - killer puzzle.

Also a resolution setting would be nice.  I have to change my desktop resoultion to play it in 16:9.  I know, I know frustrating.

Also I found a bug in day 1, where if you click quick enough in the tunnels the main character will start talking mid cutscene where the shoot out is.

And another small thing, you should make it even if you click on the exit signs with an inventory item selected it should override it.  A little annoying ui bug - but lovin' the game.

Yeah I just figured it out right after I posted it.  Truly impressed with the writing in your little game.  Truly getting Snatcher vibes from this game.  What Unity framework did you use to make it?

Day 2 is great so far, but I'm stumped with what to do after I got the first page translated and I have the notes but need iodine.  Not sure where to go or what to do now? I feel like I've exhausted all locations.. Any hints?

Thanks checking it out again now :)

No problems,

Look forward to the nexne.  I've seen people dismiss your game as terrible cause of AI.  But you've used it so creatively and also well implemented that I enjoy it.  It is a tool to enhance ones already pre-concieved ideas and help create something.  What annoys me is these naysayers think your game is commercial.  Didn't even look at the page.

Check it out gamingonlinux.com

Just some more feedback - would love an auto advance text option.  Clicking after each block of text kind of ruins the immersion for me.  I love to sit and listen to the dialogue with the appropriate pauses, etc.  :)

Thank you so much.  I would love to chat to you how you go about your prompting and creating pixel art.  What is the best way to get in contact with you?  I'm curious about your approach.

Loving it so far, though could you add a resolution or windowed option.  I have a 32:9 monitor and it just stretches out the screen.  I have to manually change the resolution of my monitor to get it to render correctly.

This looks interesting, wondering if there will be an english translation at all?

Interesting choice to use AGS for something so 3D.  Downloading it now as it looks really interesting.  Just wondering why you chose not to use a 3d engine since the visuals lean towards this? :) Not a complaint just curious about your process :)

contact me on discord under Grahfmusic or send me an email at contact@grahfmusic.com. Would love to do it for free

I've had decades of AGS experience and work as a game dev and Linux system admin if you would like me to package it up for you and test it for you on all major distros if you like?

Just played your little PowerQuest game - aussie represent.  I've been using PQ since it's inception and love your little game despite the few bugs.  Can tell you were heavily inspired by Lloyd down to the visuals.  Thought it was great for 14 days.  Also loved the particle effect implementation in PQ as well. Love it

i just want to say i love how you made a point and click game in unreal 5, it has inspired me to move away from unity.

It is free now my dear sir.  I will finish it eventually.  The main writer had left so I've had to alter some sections.  Including the VA which he did for the main character.

I'm a music composer, programmer and designer.  Also a trained musician that can compose in many different genres.

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Absolutely! My name is Dean Thomson, I am a proud Australian from Melbourne. I've spent the prime years of my life carving out a career in game development and music. Throughout my middle-aged journey, I've juggled these two passions of mine and have managed to seamlessly blend them in my work.

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

I have not previously participated in a game jam. However, when I learned about this one, it piqued my interest. I am a firm believer in trying new things and exploring different horizons. I view this as a wonderful opportunity to dive into a collaborative and competitive environment that a game jam offers.

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

I have always been captivated by games that prioritize narrative depth. Games like the 'Tex Murphy' series, 'Snatcher'/'Policenauts' by Hideo Kojima, and 'Narco' have had a major impact on me. They've shown me how video games can transcend traditional boundaries to deliver compelling narratives that rival those of films and literature. These experiences have sparked my desire to create my own games, telling the kind of stories I'm passionate about.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

Yes, I have a wealth of experience in game development. Over the years, I've worked with multiple indie studios, where I've honed my craft and explored various aspects of game development. Currently, my tool of choice is Unity, but I'm always open to experimenting with different engines. For instance, I've been eyeing the Godot engine recently, and might consider trying it or something equally unique.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

In addition to game development, I'm deeply passionate about film development and music production. I enjoy the process of creating something from scratch and bringing it to fruition - whether it's a game, a film, or a piece of music. There's something incredibly satisfying about shaping an idea into a tangible product that can captivate audiences.

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

My primary goal for this game jam is to create a short, cinematic, narrative-driven adventure game. I believe in the power of stories and I want to craft a memorable gaming experience that takes players on a journey. I am excited to work within the constraints of the game jam, as I believe they will push my creativity and technical skills to their limits.

I have a small home studio as I am professional musician.  Can help with music or VA if you like :)

Here is one track, but I can do ambient, electronica or anything really.

Fun little project, would have you loved if you used AI to do speech. Haha :)

I'm running on Linux so I ended up using the following to get it running.

You might want to recompile it,  no harm if you have a Windows, Linux and Mac build to be honest.  Or retry the WebGL build :)  More than happy to help btw, also I'd love to contribute to this project if you would love some help.
