Thank you for this! It really means alot especially how it feels like itch.io wants to push my game out of the spot light now. One week with decreasing clicks isnt that cool for them I guess.

I have a really popular fb page. But I have yet to win the twitter crowd.

Tho I think found ways to win them now. One of the major problems im having it seems is that im posting on the wrong hours (im on the other side of the world afterall)

As for the title, its both a good and a bad thing I guess. As I recently posted at GameJolt and its getting some attention as well.

My analysis so far is that perhaps the itch.io crowd isnt looking for games like this. Perhaps its not as weird, quirky, or scary like the other games here? I maybe wrong, I will still grind my way outside this hole.

Yeah the players really enjoy it. Which is why i want to get more views for them. Thanks for pointing this out :)

There is tho. Which is why marketting teams have values usually, they try their best to optimize these tiny openings and hooks.

Its sad and painful thing. :(

Thank you for this, your comment really is something I need to hear for a while now.

Tho as much as I want to focus on just working on my game right now. I'm betting alot on in this project, and I think its a disservice to the fans of the game to not grow this game's community. Which is why im hoping to find a way to increase its numbers by at least find the reason why people are not clicking the links. :(

As I do agree with this comment, me and my players do believe that the game  is super different in comparison to any game out there. But there seems to be a lack of clicks on my posts and I have no idea why. :(

I know its a silly request, but I feel like people are not giving my game a chance just by looking at the links alone.

I dont get much clicks, and so on.

I heard people dont actually like reading about genre  or gameplay as a hook.  I also heard a lot of people find SHMUPS, and Bullet Hell as huge turn off, even awards and so.  I also swapped my thumbnail into a gif.

I changed the title and such thanks to this feedback.

Any thoughts on how can I improve it more?

Hi!

I'm new here, and I'm loving the community and site so far. The sites' features is really amazing and helpful.
I've uploaded our game last week, and just realized recently that I have yet to use the forum (I didnt even know it existed!).
So yeah heres my game.

Travel to hell in this Philippine horrors, history and literature inspired game.

Good Knight is a  Butt-clenching One-Button Arcade Metal Game influenced by games like Super-Hexagon, Castlevania and Touhou.

It's almost genre-less as it fuses genres like Shooters Rhythm Puzzle Bullet-Hell.

You can get it here:

I would love to know what you think, especially marketing wise (as I dont seem to get any clicks, but I do get passionate players both offline and online) So even feedbacks regarding the page, the hook, and so one would be lovely.

Thank you for reading this!
