Luckily, we have just a function for helping out ingame already. Once you click D.G., you enter the assisted mode:
In this mode, the hold it and objection buttons are highlighted if you need to use them on this line of dialogue...
...and if you hover the items, the correct one is also highlighted with a red border.
So, in summary: Use Hold it on every line, and hit objection when the button turns red. You should be able to clear the trial like this and get Gina to Lvl6 afterwards.

Generally, if you worked through all the "Hold it!", you want to use your objections. Find a statement that contradicts one of the items and press on that. Did you present the gun as evidence already? It works on this line over the "Objection" action.

There are a few tricks you can use if you attempt the fight on high difficulty. If you target his sister, Rick also targets the attacker, meaning you can let his most powerful attacks run into your defensive cooldowns. You can also switch Rita to the side with Tug of War or use Akari's Battojutsu to prevent attacking her, therefore not giving Rick his damage buff. Block break Rick or summon Mike to cancel Sharknado also helps a lot.
HOWEVER, if he's still kicking your ass, there is a story mode difficulty which reduces all enemy damage by 90% while doubling your own damage. Not sure if you saw that one, but with that it should be a non-issue since you can take them down pretty much with auto-attacks.
