Thank you for playing! Had a lot of fun watching it! Congrats for the highscore😁

Hi Zakaria, thank you so so much for playing and actually trying to get a highscore! Had a lot of fun watching it. I see now that I have to explain the game better. The Special Timer and Kills count for every zombie you kill with gunshots. If you manage to get 6 Kills in 3 Seconds you will be rewarded with the special gun for some seconds (you had it at 9:31), which is the most important mechanic to get a very high score. I think I have to tweak the game somehow, because it makes a lot of fun when you just splatter dozens of zombies but most people don't get this far. So this was really helpful. Thank you a lot!

EDIT: There is actually a fullscreen option to toggle on or off on the title screen!

Hi, thank you very much for playing! Will consider your feedback

Hey Michael,

thank you very much! This is a great feedback, the difficulty is something I struggled to evaluate correctly, because I just had two people to test it. So this helps a lot! The sound effects were free, mostly from opengameart.org. My brother in law created the soundtrack himself.

I'm definitely going to test your game, too :)

Hey, just played your game and really liked the smart concept! Turning the ring adds an extra challenge and if you are good enough, it creates a cool gameplay loop. It is a little bit rough though to get the right angle as there is no indicator in which direction the bullet is going to fly or when the player avatar changes its direction. That way the game is over for me as soon as asteroids come in at a faster frequency and I am too slow to precisely get the right angle.
But when the controls work, its fun!

Thank you so much for playing! To increase the hitbox, I would have to implement some further animations. Maybe I'll do that. To have a better chance, try using the kick!

This game really is a little gem. I like the look and the feeling of being lost it conveys. The simplistic, repetitive architecture supports the various special shapes as interesting landmarks and got me curious to find more of them. I also really like the informational reduction and requirement to focus just on my senses without any kind of further advice. That way your game feels more like an aesthetic experience than a "game" in the classic sense. The fact that the enviroment is procedural generated and thus becomes my own unique experience gives it an interesting intellectual and artistic touch.

Personally I find the walking speed fitting; stairs are a little bit glitchy though sometimes and the walking sound feels repetitive after a while.

Hi Zakaria,

the amount of new games to play here surely is already enough yet I still would like to share my high-scpre game "Zombrero" with you. It only takes a few minutes to try it out. Thank you for the opportunity!

Thank you very much for your feedback, I will consider it for an update! I already thought about mobile, maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for playing!

Haha, thank you!

Zombrero is a fast paced highscore game. Defend yourself against endless zombie hordes and preserve Zombreros legacy!

A really cool experience. Liked the artstyle and atmosphere - fits the story very well!

Hi everyone!

I've just finished and published my first game "Zombrero". As I am a total beginner in game developement, coding and pixelart I would appreciate any kind of critique or tips. I started experimenting with Unity a while ago but changed to Godot, because of its better intuitivity and beginner-friendly design. It was a lot of fun to understand how to implement things and create the product I envisioned. Its a simple little game, but maybe you have some fun with it, and if not, tell me why!

You can find the game here:

The controls are fun and I like the minimalistic sounddesign!

I've just finished making my very first game "Zombrero" and published it on itch.io!

Get the highscore in this fast paced bullet hell game and try to survive against the hordes as long as you can - Feedback very much appreciated!

Your game has a nice style and a simplistic yet quite catchy tune! Maybe try to add some animations for the character to make the movement more fun!
