Hello, I am the original programmer and designer of this title. Please report bugs here!

I have a vision of creating a fun VR title. Please respond if you would like to learn together.

I know my way around VR in godot, and am getting into networking.

Please leave a message if you think you'd like to work on something like this.

Very curious what people think. I think it's best played with a controller

We are making a first of it's kinda game. send me an email at george.c.r.hennen@gmail.com

I made this game, I hope yall like it.

It's a quick fighting game I made. I might expand on it, but for now it's just a 1v1, or 1vbot game.

After about 6 years of on and off development, ups and downs, I am releasing this beta build on a new store page.

Welcome to the development process of Depthminer, an up and coming Sandbox MMO.

Some questions you may have:

What is the game? A 6 years in development game about exploring an expansive, dynamic, mmo like no other. My goal has always been to create a game that would let me show what MMO is supposed to mean. We are building a "single-server" sandbox mmo.

Where is this game right now? Answer: This is beta V0.1, or internally realistically y6.0.177. Right now it is just a test chamber and some intro stuff so we can let players get a feel and hate on anything they may hate on before we let people do anything online. Online will come in about a week along with about 20 other features like building, etc.

That may have you thinking "Well, how is it 6 years of development if there isn't much to do?" which is fair. The original builds of this game are all singleplayer prototypes to find what the goal would be before wasting a lot of time and money on a multiplayer build of something that wouldn't work. Over time we will release a bunch of older versions just for historical keep-sake but this and a version you can find on GameJolt are the only two public builds.

What is the future of the game going to look like... like, what's the development going to be? Are you going to screw us later on? Answer: I strongly suggest reading the store page, but the future of the game is that of a free, cross-platform, sandbox mmo that takes the chaos of something like RUST, and puts it in a top-down murderous block world.

I know there is not a lot to this post, but I have never been good at initial introductions. Every post beyond this will be a lot more fruitful.

This is not my first game, trust the process, and you will see this to be a fantastic game that doesn't just waste your time!

This is too vague, and frankly pushy for it to get anywhere. You also don't seem to know how to properly use itchs reply system which may suggest you are very young.

Though a little confused, I will try to answer your questions and then update the post! I wrote this almost a month ago so there is bound to be information to be added!

I am working on a passion project that I have been at in varying capacities for about 6 years and it is finally getting to a point where in about 2 weeks I will be able to get a free multiplayer game out there for people to have fun with.

I am looking for, right now, maybe 3 ambient tracks that can loop, 40seconds to 10 minutes is usually ideal (less than 40 seconds gets noticeable in my experience). Formatting doesn't totally matter, and nobody will have to interact with the project itself if they do not want to in any programming capacity. I am great with audio implementation and timing and love to work with the creators of audio components to make something wonderful. Beyond the tracks, I need a few sound effects for some menu stuff but I will end up making those most likely.

For anyone who made need something but can afford something rather high production I suggest this guy. I mention this so others will email this man.

I would like to send you two tracks to go off of!

A lot of what you do seems very dramatic. What else can you do?

I have sent you an email

We are looking for an additional programmer to help us in our small collaborative team.

You are not required to know networking.

This is not a paid gig, this is just a thing we are doing to make a cool game.

It'll be published on Steam, here, PS5, and Xbox most likely for Free with a paid online.

The gif posted is just a random mining gif. It's mean to show that this game is very much meant to be a video game and not a life suck.

We are looking for someone to join our survival multiplayer game as an music/audio person as right now I am doing all of it and I am not exactly great at at least the music part.

Here is an (now old) gif , let me know if the style interests you!

One last thing:

If you end up making at least an album/general soundtrack we will sell it on the store page on Steam, and anywhere else we can on your behalf (just to be clear, it means we just put it up, but you get a sales report and the money from said sales report)

Weirdly too challenging, but is probably fun for a lot of people.

Z to Jump is out of View

The rock you instant-die from at the start isnt clear that that is what it is, but is otherwise a smart choice.

After a short amount of time my will to try to finish the entire game became lacking due to any real direction. I get it is a classic adventure game type game, maybe even a game jam game... but I feel like once I went down the "oh you fell down a long tunnel" part I had no idea what I was doing other than being worried I was lost.

TORDUS community · Created a new topic No Idea How to Play

This game looks and sounds fantastic, but I have no idea what the controls are.

Additionally: WASD is a must.

Additionally, move your comments to be comment based, not community based. (This will help your game)

This is a solid proof of concept, it's biggest problem is the lack of knowing who is who. When I got to the "coder required" doors it was like... okay cool but they all look the same. It should be a "sacrifice" sort of deal.

The first "manager" attacking you immediately while not being able to quickly open a door was a pain because he was off screen. Not that it was hard, he was off screen.

I didn't feel like playing the whole game because up until I needed to use a mouse, I didn't expect to use a mouse and honestly do not want to.

I have released I think 6 games on Steam at this point (I am not totally sure the total) starting at the age of 13. You got this dawg.

I am 22 now, almost 23. Maybe you are older, maybe you are younger... it does not matter.

The only downside of Steam is you might want to either wait for that 10k wishlist or whatever, or just release it when you can. A lot of games do not get sales because they are bad. I do not believe your game is bad.

There is no reason you cannot sell it on Steam. In fact, I will be angry with you if you do not.

Just do it.

I would also be curious to see your itch analytics sometime :)

If you wanna dm me: georgehennen on X, george.c.r.hennen@gmail.com is my email.

You are a dingaling for not selling this on steam

This is cool. Very good tool. I hope it was fun to make

I feel like you played johnsgame one day. if so i would be glad because i made that game.

nice

I am making this top-down game and have spent a few months on it now. If anyone else would like to join in I am looking for anyone who wants to help because anything will help. Even if you have a fun/stupid idea it can probably be added in its own fun way.

The game will end up being an online-multiplayer dungeon game but right now I am working on doing the actual game work before in turns online (even though this is usually the wrong order).

Here is a few gifs and screenshots: (THESE ARE MOSTLY IN THE TEST ROOM BTW) (AND SOME OF THESE IMAGES ARE OLD SO IT MAY BE A LITTLE INCONSISTENT) It kinda looks more like how much has changed over some x amount of time.

Some specific stuff i need help with is enemy AI (Well more along the lines of collision AI between enemies, it is really fucky right now), Liquids spreading out (kinda hard for me since it's a top-down game...), Map items with Fog of war and location of player while moving, Vehicleslike having the player in a minecart on a railroad for example (think terr aria).  being able to sit in specific chairs.

Feel free to say any item because i have created a world where anything can easily fit into the game without it messing up any kind of lore or whatever.

If not here, you can contact me here: georgecrhennen#7184

I have a game that might need better art or updated art. If you would like to help that'd be cool. Feel free to add me on discord: georgecrhennen#7184

Uhh here is an image:

I have no clue if it even needs changing or updating but i feel like it does. If you would like to again, just add me or whatever you do to contact people. I will read comments obviously.
