We're looking for someone who knows the difference between Instagram highlights, reels, and stories, maybe with experience moderating a Discord server, or comfortable turning time-lapse art or animated GIF loops into properly formatted videos. Being comfortable with Canva, YouTube, and TikTok a plus. Experience organically growing a community fond of cozy games would be amazing. Kickstarter experience would be rad also.

Mostly we're looking for someone into indie games and interested in helping bring Gatherlight (playgatherlight.com) to life. Feeling fond of the project is more important to us than technical skills.

We're only paying a small amount up front. But we have clearly defined larger bonuses if the game sells some, we want everyone who helps to benefit from sales down the road.

Everyone is encouraged to apply, including women, people of color, people who don't have English as their first language, LGBTQIA+ folks, and people living outside the empire's core. If you think this would be fun but don't feel qualified you're probably who we want. It's cool if you're qualified too.

This is a bit of a longshot, but itch.io has delivered for us before.

We're looking for a stylized lighting, particles, shader, post-processing polish pass in Unity URP for our cozy-mystical voxel game (Gatherlight). Looking for someone with some color theory and lighting design lenses.

We’re aiming for something warm, mysterious, and magical.

Scope: Final polish on lighting, particles (fireflies, glow bursts), some post-processing work (color grading, bloom), shader tuning for glow & fog. We've got Kronnect's Cozy Weather, Beautify, Fog + Mist plugged in, but are open to pivoting to other approaches.

We’ll provide art assets and scenes; you’d be enhancing mood and clarity.

Please share a portfolio or clips.

Looking to begin in the next few weeks.

Are you looking to break into doing concept art for indie games?

Gatherlight, a voxel game, is looking for several artist's take on our core characters and components. A teen, female, protagonist of color. Undead and spirits. Mushrooms, lanterns, ghost trees, and pet goats. The project will involve a small stipend ($25) for a handful or sketches / designs, your work will get shared on our socials, and we'll include you in the credits in the game and on our website.

The hope is to give some newer artists some exposure on our tiny budget while also getting a variety of takes on our key imagery.

@tigerproofrock on Discord if you're interested. Be sure to link to some examples of your work.

Looking for a concept artist to help launch a cozy voxel game on Steam. Mostly we need a solid concept image for marketing.

The work would pay a couple hundred up front with a clear revshare plan to double your pay if the game sells

The game is about healing an island of environmental trauma while crafting a cozy life.

Some more about the game is available here: PlayGatherlight.com

Everyone is encouraged to apply, including women, queer, and BIPOC folks.

Arthur and Glukaz, we lined up a lead developer. We're still open to dev help, but can only offer payment out of the games profits at this point. If either of you want to reach out to me, I'm on Gmail at tuckerlfitzgerald.

I’m building Gatherlight, a cozy voxel game about healing an island of environmental trauma while crafting a beautiful life there.  I need an animator who can bring a cast of animals and spooky creatures to life. Hoping for charming, efficient, and reliable animations that feel warm and organic, cozy, alive, and grounded.

What I’m looking for:

  • Ability to take voxel models (created in Blockbench) and rig/animate them for Unity.
  • Simple, charming animation style — think Minecraft creatures, but with a bit more personality and polish.
  • Comfortable creating loops (idle, walk/run, eat/graze, sleep) as well as simple one-offs (jump, react to player, etc.).
  • Export-ready for Unity’s Animator system.
  • Strong communication and collaborative approach.

What I’ll provide:

  • All models in Blockbench format with textures.
  • Creative direction, style references, and animation lists.
  • Modest up-front payment, plus a clear revenue share plan to double your pay if the game sells some.

Hello!

I just had a post right under yours where I'm looking for a Unity developer. The work would pay a couple thousand up front with a clear revshare plan that would cap out much higher. I don't know if that's of interest.  I can tell you more if my post isn't findable :)

Looking for a Unity developer to help launch a cozy voxel game on Steam.

The work would pay a couple thousand up front with a clear revshare plan that would cap out much higher.

The quick and crass summary is that I need someone who can build a leaner Minecraft with some of the better shader / water / lighting  mods. Built for multiplayer but the MVP will only have solo play. No procedural generation for MVP, just a fixed island. Simple low res voxel art, but it would need to look and sound nice and be efficient and reliable on most PCs.

The poetry of the project is healing an island of environmental trauma while crafting a cozy life.

The game mechanics and all of the art assets, including music and textures, will be handled by me or others are all in progress. I'm ready to purchase any and all Unity Asset Store tools that would bring the project to life.
