Hello,

I've launched the beta of my game Choo Choo Survivor 2 for everyone to play. It is a top down, pixel art, rougelite action game where you drive a train through the zombie apocalypse, blowing zombies and stuff up, gather resources and upgrade strategically to get to the end and defeat the zombie boss!

You can play the beta here on Itch by downloading either the Windows or Mac zipped folder, or you can also play through Steam by requesting access for the playtest and you'll be given immediate access to download the game through your Steam client and play.

Download the mac version and unzip the folder. Then you'll see Peacequarium.app. Run that. Which model mac do you have? I'm actually developing on mac, I'm using an m2 and so the game is natively built on a mac.

Thank you very much for playing my game! I'll figure out how to communicate the feeding aspect better, because the player shouldn't have to keep clicking, just hold down right click or left ctrl and feeding will keep happening. The full game will have an auto feeder submarine that goes about and auto feeds the fish :D

Thanks for playing Peacequarium and your feedback is valuable. I'm actively developing the game so I have plenty of improvements to do based on feedback like yours. I really like the tank cleaning idea and I'll try to come up with something that is fun and rewarding.

Thanks for playing and taking the time to write! Maybe I have to change the prayer book texture (make the book standing) because that is the $8 'bed' you were referring to lols :D

Fast forward is to help with recharging stats quickly / speed up time if waiting for crops. Btw just left click on the drones to damage and blow them up. You can fly. Build a ladder, jump off and then woohoo! Then the drones will try to follow you in the sky and you can defeat them very easily. 

I'm going to make the player kitty be a guide as well. The kitty will say something like "Click on me for a guide on being successful in our world". I'll need to organise the kitty UI better, because at the moment the player can rename, toggle follow, change colour and feed the kitty from the same window so perhaps I need to better organise this and add new option of a game guide. The kitty game guide will be like a FAQ and help the player understand how to play the game successfully. Player will still have to read though :)

Thanks, that's a helpful bug find! I also find it to happen with the water dispenser and vending machine. This will be fixed up in the next minor update I put out.

Thanks, I'll apply a no friction physics material to the player and get rid of the sticking to walls issue. It will make it more fun when flying around on the hoverboard as well. 

I'll have a think about the UI. I make it fade away so the player can see their game world without all the UI cluttering it up.

My objective as the developer is to give you an environment that you can make beautiful and relax in. Home By The River is being developed by one person, Looqmaan aka Gamer To Game Developer, and it is the most meaningful game to me that I have ever worked on, and a full time job for me. I hope that I will produce something that I will always be happy about and that I can be happy and proud to show others. Home By The River is the first project that delights my heart whenever I work on it and I do hope I'll keep on developing this for years and years to come. I've changed my pathway and stopped making games with violence (yes I will get back to Weekend Drive and transform that in the future to a beautiful peaceful game I hope).
