You've really got something here. Would love to see this continued and polished.

This was a ton of fun! The never-ending waves of enemies quickly overran us and we had to retreat multiple times. The only real complaint I had was the fact that the sword swing only damages on the first frame it is out, which leads to it feeling a lot less useful. Thanks for hosting a great jam, and congrats to everyone who submitted!

An homage to Atari that's been handled excellently. A simple design and gameplay loop pair very well with the simple sound design (a lot of "simple", but I promise it's a good thing). If you were to give this game a high-score system, us at GG Studios would be playing the ever-loving hell out of this.

This game was a ton of fun! We played through the entire thing on stream and had a blast! The short breaks between levels where you asked us math questions and cultural questions were a fantastic touch. The simplistic art style gave us very nostalgic vibes. One bug we found was that through the use of a touch screen, one could easily bypass every level.

We were unsure of what we were supposed to do after starting the game. Clicking the coin icon gives us 1 coin, and we seemed to be able to buy animals for these coins. Beyond that, we aren't really sure. Congrats on submitting!

Really fun game! I played it all the way through, got all the start pieces and won. We noticed a few minutes in that we can walk through most obstacles in the world. Besides that, a really fun gameplay loop, was hoping for a final boss, but we understand the limited timeframe also limits the scope of the project.

Thank you so much for your feedback! On-screen feedback and patching the final door glitch were next on our list but unfortunately, we ran out of time. We do plan to continue this project after judging and will be sure to incorporate everyone's advice. Thank you so much for hosting a great Jam, and thanks for playing!

Hi there! Due to scope-creep and bigger ambitions for this game, a lot of tutorial stuff just didn't make it in. We do plan to expand on it more after the jam's judging period ends, though. You should be able to right click on blue objects with the grapple ability active to zip to the blue objects, and the red buttons should allow you to switch to a different ability using the keys 1-5. The on-screen GUI suggestions is definitely something we will do in the near future when expanding this project. Thank you so much for your advice, and thanks for playing!

Unfortunately we had much bigger ambitions for this project, so the tutorial aspect really fell short. Standing on buttons unlocks the ability to press a key 1-5 to switch which power you're using. The first button unlocks '2', the Grapple power, which you can use Right Click on blue objects to zip to them. The rest should be self-explanatory, as each area unlocks another button for you to switch to a new ability until you reach the goal.
