Some things are still WIP unfortunately:

Adding collision to the edges to not walk off, 

Adding a menu to restart, start, end,

Adding special interactions/sassy dialogs to certain animals,

 instantiation of the eggs,

 a timer to make the seals follow you around when you click on them

Version 1:

  • Imported everything assets into a game file and deconstructed the assets I will be using.
  • Figuring out which animals to include in the zoo
  • Structure and layout of the zoo was inspired by pokemon zones to have different areas and different types of animals.
  • First area developed was the floor the player drops into
  • Second area is the icy igloo
  • Third area is the desert zone 
  • I want a bee tower with insects around it
  • The unicorn to be in the center of the first zone with a glass of wine
  • Btw all the animals are drunk and behaving weirdly, or is it the drugs? Who knows anymore
  • The unicorn is supposed to make comments when you interact with certain animals -WIP

Version 2

  • Developed the landscape and added terrain 
  • Rotated, scaled, move the assets into position on the surface
  • Implemented first person control for player movement
  • Quirky series ultimate asset store import through project manager
  • Build Itch page & Build and run project from unity

Version 3

  • Added audio source
  • Assets feel very static, figuring out a way to add motion to make the scene come alive. 
  • Added quirky interactions to certain animals
  • Added UI text
  • Positioned assets into final position, weird terrain interactions at time while jumping
  • Added customized skybox and added terrain on floor

Version 4

  • Added motion rotate to certain objects to enhance the scene
  • WIP - Code for the unicorn to make comments when interacting with certain animals
  • WIP - Start End Restart screen
  • Loop Audio source - Adding different sound to different zones

Walk around and explore what's going on in this weird ZOO! Our Unicorn god is observing your every move.

Added movement to the wind turbine & some animals.  Built out more assets & added more fences, bridge to john's area.

The character controller is facing the other way, use your mouse to pan the camera around and the wsad to move around

Main Mechanic: Walking 

Theme: Farm that feels like a maze with intriguing things to view. 

Working on building out a more maze feel... 

Mock-up: The Mockup is 1 player - endless runner Vampire sprite. The angry villager is behind the player running at a fixed pace that slowly increases until they catch you. Each meat found on the level gains a slight speed increase. There are obstacles behind the vampire such as sunlight that can also kill the player. There are gaps on the floor the player can fall through, the player must jump over obstacles such as forks, and fire torches thrown by the villagers. Possibly a point system for staying alive.

Version 1> Player unit sprite, Enemy sprite, Sun & Moon sprite, background 

Version 1.1 > Added platform code to the ground so player and enemy unit can walk on platform without falling. 

V1.2 > Added player movement Jump interaction

V1.3 > Added linear movement to player in X direction 100, enemy linear movement 95

V1.4 > Added Meat that boost vampire> +5 to the score 

v1.5 > Added score variable (num) =0; added interaction to score with meat player jump

V1.6 > As time goes on the board need to extends = In progress

V1.7> As time increases the player score increases for surviving by +1 in progress

v1.8< Add hazards instead of meat to paralyze the player so the enemy can catch up - in progress

v1.9> Villagers tossing objects at the player - in progress

v1.0> finally polish every mechanic up so the game can feel smooth and add more design elements 

Single Key Command Jump

Playable in the browser via itch

Added High score tracker that refreshes on death

Core mechanic: Jump mechanic and platform automove

Win/lose state: Death animation and scene restart via obstacle collision

Scene change in the end 

Still working on the final scene to make the game stop once over.

Added sound and music to the environment and coins

Considering shape language for the door - styles of attitude, maybe sassy, approachable, a door that leads to anywhere.
