What a simple yet great game!
Pretty polished allready and with alot of jokes.
I loved the drawing sound!
The 3D Level was really tricky...
Lucky i did try the "dev" Button and accidentally found out what to do...
One suggestion I have is to introduce a Ctrl hotkey (or similar) to constrain strokes to perfectly straight lines. This would improve the drawing experience, particularly for tight corners and multi-line drawings

Sweet game!
(I hate rhythm games because I’m trash at them, so take my feedback with a grain of salt)
Positives:
- I really like the main menu — nice aesthetics
- I like that you can preview the song and theme and choose the difficulty
- Each map has its own design/theme
- Beat track was clean and clear
Negatives:
- The button layout (Y/X/C) doesn’t work the same for all keyboard layouts/languages. Maybe let the player configure it? (For example, the German QWERTZ layout doesnt work well / feels clunky)
- The button click feedback felt a little weak and a bit wonky. I think there should be a clearer separation for timing precision — like Perfect, Good, and OK — because I could swear I mistimed some hits pretty badly (too early/too late) but still got the same feedback as when I felt like I hit it frame-perfect. Thats a bit weird for a rhythm game
- This might just be my browser (Firefox), but the music (especially Map 2) sounded poorly mixed. It came across scratchy and maybe too loud/over-saturated/distorted. Not sure what the right term is, but it didnt sound clean
- One thing that confuses me a lot (and it seems like no one else is talking about it) the music sounds littlebit AI
I thought the use of generative AI was forbidden for sound/music and visuals — or more broadly, for game assets in general. (I don’t think anyone cares if someone got some help with coding)
Seems like I was totally wrong and made a baseless accusation. Im sorry!
Haha, what a great game idea!
(It reminds me a bit of my childhood, playing Olympia 2004 with my friends on the PS2, button-mashing through every minigame xDDD)
Man, even after playing two full runs I still havent grasped all the systems/mechanics 100%, but I already love how simple—and yet how complex—the game can be at the same time. (I love that the game isnt “figured out” after just one run)
I really enjoyed the dilemma of going for first place for bonus gold versus aiming for a specific placement for the bonus objective, which is sometimes a lot harder than simply getting first. And once you combine that with the betting, it gets complicated pretty quickly.
Really nicely executed!
My only suggestions for the future:
- A training mode for each minigame
- More minigames
- Better explanations/tooltips for what the items and stars mean/do
(I didn’t really understand what the items/stars do → I basically played as if the item shop didntt exist)
PS: I love the Art of Eris and Plutos
Nice game!
I like the idea of "Deckbuilding x Tower defense" in general
One negative point(already mentioned by others) is that the presentation felt a bit too static, both visually and audiovisually.
(Thats something I also noticed after this game jam, and I definitely need to improve on it myself as well...)
Nice game!
I think I played it through (not 100% sure though... I got stuck on the minimap after the boss fight 😄).
Stuff I liked:
-
Pretty subjective, of course, but I just love these roguelike-ish games with turn-based combat and lots of variety (in whatever form it comes )
-
The combat system is overall really well done
-
The combat UI is clear. I could look up what each effect does
-
I especially liked that I could see detailed explanations/stats by pressing [Ctrl]. I really really really appreciate not having to tab out and check a wiki just to understand how a skill actually works/scales.
-
With all the items, theres already a good amount of variety, and its something you can easily expand on even more
Stuff I didn’t like:
-
I know the theme was “Strange Places,” but I honestly didn’t get why I’m fighting in a pool, or why I’m mostly fighting pool objects… it’s just not my cup of tea. (But of course this won’t impact the rating for this jam—technically it matches the theme, it’s just not something I’d personally play outside of the jam.)
-
I couldn’t see the details of effects during the reward/loot phase. I didn’t fully understand what each stat/effect does.
(compared to the really nicely done battle phase) Did i now finish the game or not? 😄
Ideas for the feature:
- Maybe the dog/wolf? can learn new skills and the player has to decide what his moveset of 4 moves gona be?
(maybe it was already implemented an just missed it...)
Extremely nicely done card layout and card style/art!
I also like the ambient background music and the small SFX when picking up resources.
I was a little confused by the gameplay rules/mechanics, but I think it’ll make more sense after a few runs.
For example, I didnt understand why I couldnt play this card even though I tryed to targete a building or a empty space

One small, neat improvement (especially for people with dyslexia like me who sometimes forget which resource is which). Maybe show the resource symbol instead of (or in addition to) the name

(I only played up to level 6.)
Stuff I liked a lot:
-
The execution of the theme, visually and through sound—especially how the card designs match the overall theme
-
The (random) battle order system
-
The card system itself felt really polished and smooth (sounds, slot “snap”, navigating the hand)
-
The card sounds on mouse-over and when a new card is shuffled in
Stuff I disliked:
-
I found the cards/effects a bit boring/repetitive because thematically many of them do similar things
-
Since you only play two cards, the variation feels pretty limited
-
I think its a missed opportunity that the board doesnt increase in size as you progress. That could create a smoother learning curve and help keep things from getting dull too quickly
(or maybe it does but i didnt get to that part...)
Hello everyone,
Im a big fan of card games (MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, Hearthstone, Slay the Spire, etc.) and Im interested in exploring more games in this genre
I would love to try some new ones, so if you have any card game or card-themed entries I can test (and rate), feel free to drop them here.
I would like to see how different people interpret and implement their ideas in this genre!
Right now i have found this one:
- https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/3947301
- https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4306326
First off, the preview/thumbnail image is pretty sweet and overall the character design and animation are very well done!
I loved that you always had to kick the fish into its pot at the end.
Level 4 with the FishZip was really cool.
My only criticism (even though I know its a game jam):
I found the levels a bit too short/easy once you knew what to do
