Welcome to the Fracture. I don't want to go too in depth in the story as to ruin it, but the player will awaken on a floating Island which is home to the town of Serenity. The only other life seems to be a small cute hovering robot named Chip (maybe Chippy, subject to change).

As the player explores the small island they will find derelict vacant buildings and a strange portal.

Chip will guide you through this world as you rebuild the town, causing the life to return. You will have a house of your own that you can enter and furnish. A garden to plant, a furnace to tend, animals to ride. You will have the ability to customize your Avatar from skin color to hair with some premade options.

Sounds charming and fun? Well you can't rebuild a town without getting your hands dirty. In order to repair the player must use the portal and guidance of chip to enter combat fields and dungeons within those fields. Here you can fight enemies in an active RPG combat with skills/spells tailored to how you want to play. Want to be a spear wielder who can cast shields and heals? Done. A spell and board instead of a sword and board? Done. In Fracture I have planned a simplified yet creative way to achieve this without overcomplicated systems that come with RPG's.
Fight through the monsters in 1 of 4 elemental fields (fire, lightning, water and earth) each with their own weakness. Collect resources from each to fuel the towns growth, and eventually unlock the mystery that is The Fracture. Below are a few screenshots of the current work.

Awww I got bugged on first go. I was enjoying it. Art style really nice. Sound and music was also really good. Though it was pretty loud. But for the bug, if you open the door while walking toward it or being close it can knock you out of the level which happened twice to me. The monster sound in the distance was awesome, but I never got to experience it because both times I played I got knocked out. Maybe it's just my bad luck. Went back 1 more time to see him and got lost only to teleport back to the beggining with no shards.
Enjoyed that. I couldn't figure out how to heal. Took a bit and a ton of keyboard pressing to find the inventory button to equip my new guns. Was surprised when I realized the shotgun was not a shotgun but actually a shootgun and I just misread it. But it also made it pointless to buy the other gun it felt because that one was boss. Also, window control got a little annoying because they kept popping up over each other.
That being said; very much enjoyed it. Probably one of the cutest games I've tried so far out of the 20 I've played up to this point. It reminded me of something my wife would make and I loved it.
I had the same kind of experience as Celtia. I had to stop myself from playing because I enjoyed it a ton. I didn't feel it fit the theme really or maybe I didn't notice how it related, but that didn't stop me from playing it. The music was VERY diablo 1 feeling and I was super here for it. I enjoyed this one a lot and will come back to it even after the jam is over. Was fun leveling up my character and feeling strong. Kudos on an awesome project!!
