Hey, thanks for joining our jam, welcome to the world of game jams.
It really depends on the jam, basically it is the honor system for most. for our jam it is built in to the rules...
Continuing an existing project is allowed, only if the majority of the submission is new content.
This allows a way for people to continue projects or reuse parts of previous without feeling like they are cheating.
I will say though, a big part of what is great about a jam is starting fresh on a new idea or major rework of an old idea. Also, two weeks is plenty of time to make something great and forces you to keep things focused.
My main advice with game jams is to experiment and try to make a fun cool new game.
Let's share our tools and help each other make the best games possible!
Here's my setup for the jam:
Code: Claude Fable in VS Code
Art: Probably GPT Image 2.
Music: Suno 5.5
Engine: LittleJS. It's been working amazing with Claude. I'm using the version in this repo that has extra AI tools: LittleJS-AI

The fourth AI Browser Game Jam is open for sign-ups! 😻🍜🎮
We know AI is a touchy subject around here, and this post isn't trying to argue with anyone about it. It's just a small, low pressure jam for people who want to experiment with AI tools and make something playable. If that's not your thing, no worries. If you're curious, you're welcome to join.
The rules:
- Free, browser playable games, made in two weeks
- Use any AI tools you want for code, art, music, whatever (no sponsor, nothing required)
- Theme is announced at the start, and it's a suggestion, not a rule
- Participants are the judges, so your game actually gets played
- Solo or teams, all skill levels
Over 70% of the people who joined last round finished and submitted a game!

Happy to answer questions below. 😼👍
disqualified because it is not playable in browser. if it is a browser game let me know if you need help getting it to work in itch.io without requiring a download and i can requalify it.
edit: i decided to requalify because i should have notified you earlier about it and i was able to download your game and play it. please try to switch it so it runs directly on your itch page though. cool game, i love the destructible terrain and the gameplay feels good.
really nice work! you got the balatro mechanics working very well and the Oregon trail is a great setting to set it apart. sound effects are a bit too similar, maybe you could use western inspired sound effects. it would make sense to have dice with sides other then 12 to add variety and complexity. you might try hooking up three.js for the dice, i think actually seeing them roll in 3d would greatly increase the feel of the game. great job overall!

really nice work! i love the atmosphere. the diner with the window in the background and stuff is awesome. the variety of all the people is fantastic. it feels like a living place. i was intrigued by the various mysteries. the flow could use a bit of tweaking, like i often clicked too fast and didnt see or remember what people wanted. maybe if they told you there could be a thought bubble or other reminder. i think some music could help add more atmosphere, the ran noise gets a bit much, maybe there is a radio in the diner and you can control it and people have music preferences.
that was really cool and scary! i loved the variety of the diferent segments. sometimes i felt the text gave too much away. some time pressure could add more excitement. it would be really nice if players could start from their farthest level in because i did not finish the game. you could still track if a player makes it through from the start of a run. great work!
nice game. heres some feedback...
- i like how there are so many things to build and upgrade
- the night time scenes are really cool
- would be nice if the text was a bit bigger, on desktop expand to fill the whole screen.
- i feel a overwhelmed as a new player, would maybe be good to start with empty land.
- need to start slow and onboard players
- sound is a bit jarring
amazing work! Mario vibes throughout, great music, wow it is raining now, looks awesome! feels fun just existing in this world and that is one of the most important and hardest things to do. would love to see you polish this more.
also i am having trouble finding any landmarks. i looked for a while. would be cool if you could use shards to buy upgrades and stuff.
