the blue bar is the temperature just need to be next to campfires howver they are not popping out easily to see

I KNOW i can't believe I forgot that

yes I wanted to have a quick tutorial stage but didn't get out to it

hey!  Thank you for that

Honestly I was bored and wanted to do a jam over the weekend didn't get to have the full 3 days

However the reason why I put the waypoint in was to make it a bit easier to point towards the items due to not having the time to make the actual system I wanted which was for sticks to interact with normal bushes. For coal to mine some stone. For berries to pick them up ...etc the goal was for the waypoint to take you back to the main guy but had to repurpose last minute

Another polish I wanted to add was to indeed have tool tips for the items. I had some other code from an inventory i made for my game on steam hower I had to give up as i decided im having a much simpler menu to only hold 6 items so then I changed a bit my structure on how I hold the data so just removed the tool tips

Things to add would be :

a few more levels. And better quest system

An improvement on how the text is displayed.

Fixing the buggy visual at the end of the level that show you the time

Leaderboards

Campfires to have some dynamic light but for this one I went the lazy way for the current HUD so ended up putting ghost buttons in places just to get the right spacing and couldnt figure out how to have another layout for a fluid light system

I made an implementation of this but updated to  current godot version from the project  https://www.patreon.com/GameEndeavor

Played your game live on stream! Really enjoyed it. I can deffo see a steam release

(1 edit)

While going up, character hits the platforms that boost your jump and you go up so quick that when you decelerate the lava doesn’t and you are mostly stuck mid air without having a chance to hit a platform and lava still goes up. I can see the idea there but tweaking it so much to the point is ideal would be really hard as undershooting would eliminate the challenge.

The fire rate is fine, from my understanding it either resets after some time or it resets when you land, hence if you get propelled up you will probably won’t shoot again unless you restart.

It feels really slimy at times when it’s shooting up. Especially that you don’t have much say in the direction once it gets to a certain speed, only just about got to cross to the second area. But there were no platforms or anything to take a breather and the last bouncy platform ruined the run.

The game is there, and it’s ..fun. But the tweaks will improve from an honest 6/10 all the way to a 8./9

Currently it’s just a rage game as I don’t see any way of having input of what happens and more than 80% of my high score was high RNG

Nice concept, recommend to have browser play, game is quite buggy, lava shoots up out of nowhere sometimes, Had it stuck to the wall a few times and not being able to shoot up
i like the chirpy music, fits well.
nice entry

Really nice work!

Leaderboard coming soon

Thank you. And really appreciate the full feedback. One thing not sure if you managed to get to it. There is a secret. Unless you saw it in the live. The game does offer a few paths with different ways you could go. The different ways merge into the last level either way. Currently there is 2 . The spike allow you to use them to jump on them to get somewhere higher to create a skip. The timing needs to be really precise. But even then they disappear after 5 jumps . Will look into the hit boxes I have noticed in my test runs it is not as we wanted it to be so definitely getting an update as soon as the voting is over. And hang on. you got under 30 seconds???? Need to add a leaderboard cause that is a literal : WHAT?

gloopy doopie

Bit glitchy with some clouds, 4/4/3/4  overall decent game and really nice for the 72 hour jam, working leaderboard and fits the theme, wish you were on the livestream!

I am 6th place!

Amazing game, had a blast, but got too many splinters!

The high score is at 7 seconds 58 and it is the same across different maps, now the closest i got was on 9 something seconds would have loved if it was a set map with a set score, and any other variant generated a different score. But that would be hard to do in 3 days
A lot of replayability still which is what matters!

was not sure what to do for a long time, eventually i read the description and found the info
Some kind of way to communicate to the player what to do would've been godsent
But 5 stars aesthetics overall  and sound

Brackeys would be proud!

Brackeys would be proud!

Really liked the concept of the mechanic, quite a creative way to implement. Reminds me of that mobile game ninja hero i think it was called. Only thing that was not easy is seeing the clouds in the clouds area, the art merges well with the art for the itch page and lost about 30 trying to see where the platform is, wish the platforms would fall just a tad quicker if they dont hit anything but good game overall

Thank you, game is up now. hope I did not let down your art pack :)

Really cool and really fits what I have in mind, I joined a gamejam a week ago and with work and stuff forgot about it, just starting now with 2 days left submissions already open!

I know! Though on the scenes that say try again if you wait 5 seconds you will get back the main rolling dice scene

As soon as the voting period is done I will come back on this project to polish all the mistakes and add actual gameplay and scores for each and every one. Let me know if you have any ideas for the 2 remaining games!

I tried to make at least 6 decent playable games but didn’t have the time for it. I scrapped half of the project and just added a canvas for the rest of the games you don’t have anything in just to reset back to the main loading scene. The idea was there but I was working in both days. Barely any time but still proud that I managed to join it😌

If you managed to actually add a proper combat system to kill the enemies and have some kill count it would've been actually plenty of fun. Nice graphics but enemy sprites are way too big. They just don't fit well that big. music is really nice, and thumbs up for the animations working properly.

Really interesting, I really liked the graphics
