If you're struggling with the game, you can try walljumping and dashing (with shift) and double jumping and shotgun boosting, if you still can't beat the normal mode, click on the game name in the main menu, and go inside normal mode, presss `, write "up <how_much_up>" ex: up 3000
Make sure to not put a number too high or else the game wont generate the platforms for each area, if you do so, you can put negative numbers into the up command, check out the `command_list`, Also pause the game and look at the bottom right :)
Fun concept, I like the shotgun idea. Honestly, I don't see how I could pass the "go up" moment.

Thank you! You can pass by walljumping and dashing (with shift) and double jumping and shotgun boosting a lot, it's kind of chance-based right now because of the way the boost pads work.
I liked it, really simple and basic enjoyable jumping game. It's suitable with the theme and leaderboard system is cool. Maybe lava could be balanced because sometimes it's too fast. 😊

Neat game but it doesn't feel very cohesive. I was never able to get past the "go up" part of the normal level because the lava would catch up, there would be no platforms, I would have no jumps left, and the shotgun would rarely fire when I clicked it but there's no indicator for a cooldown. I liked your assets and UI, it feels like it would work well on mobile
Thank you for the feedback! For the "go up" part, I plan to add some large widge platforms in them after the jam, The shotgun has a cooldown of 1.8 seconds and has a very quiet sound indicating the shotgun has been loaded, I thought of adding an indicator but forgot to, will do in the non-jam version! All assets were from kenney.nl, he makes lots of great assets, Thank you for the feedback!
I didn't know what to use the shotgun for but the game is very good

Nice concept, recommend to have browser play, game is quite buggy, lava shoots up out of nowhere sometimes, Had it stuck to the wall a few times and not being able to shoot up
i like the chirpy music, fits well.

I've added browser and android play, I've also fixed a bunch of bugs, About the lava shooting up, were you by chance playing Normal mode? if so, that's intended, if not, I'll try my best to fix it, "not being able to shoot up" Are you mentioning the slow fire rate?, if so, that's intended because while playtesting with a high fire rate the game would be extremely fast-paced, Thank you for the feedback!
While going up, character hits the platforms that boost your jump and you go up so quick that when you decelerate the lava doesn’t and you are mostly stuck mid air without having a chance to hit a platform and lava still goes up. I can see the idea there but tweaking it so much to the point is ideal would be really hard as undershooting would eliminate the challenge.
The fire rate is fine, from my understanding it either resets after some time or it resets when you land, hence if you get propelled up you will probably won’t shoot again unless you restart.
It feels really slimy at times when it’s shooting up. Especially that you don’t have much say in the direction once it gets to a certain speed, only just about got to cross to the second area. But there were no platforms or anything to take a breather and the last bouncy platform ruined the run.
The game is there, and it’s ..fun. But the tweaks will improve from an honest 6/10 all the way to a 8./9
Currently it’s just a rage game as I don’t see any way of having input of what happens and more than 80% of my high score was high RNG
Hey! Thanks again for the feedback! I could possibly make the lava go slower for a few seconds when you get onto a boost platform, The fire rate gets reset every 1.8 seconds and there's a quiet sound when it reloads but a visual indicator would've probably worked nice, I could definetly try slowing down the lava when you reach a new area and adding a wide platform! I'll try fixing these issues after the jam ends, thank you for all the feedback!
