Orochi, the eight-headed dragon of calamity that spawned to destroy all of Violeton's inhabitants. Sealed away for centuries, a Vulpes named Kitsune was tasked in making sure the beast's seal would never break.

No force on Cometia can ever slay Orochi, but only the Nova Champions are the ones destined to destroy him.

After watching the seal for an unknown amount of time, Kitsune grows desperate for the Nova Champions to arrive and finally destroy Orochi.

When the heroes have finally arrived, the seal was beginning to weaken, as the three treasures that keep the seal up were missing. While the Nova Champions have already found the Kusanagi Sword, only the Yata Mirror and the Yasakani Magatama were left to find.

After our heroes find the mirror with Kitsune finding the jewel, Kitsune began to question the Nova Champions if they truly are destined to not only save the world, but to also slay Orochi.

Wanting the beast to finally die, Kitsune shatters the Yasakani Magatama, which contained a fraction of each head of Orochi's power, revitalizing the beast to get it ready break out of its seal. But thanks to the Yata Mirror, the seal won't be able to break for about 24 hours, giving the Nova Champions no time to waste on finding the eight heads' seal spots throughout Violeton and slay each and every head one-by-one.

Will the Nova Champions succeed in slaying the eight-headed dragon?

Kobolds, a mouse-like race that stick to the skies of Cometia on their airships. One airship, Airship Willie, is one of the finest around.

However, one day, the ship ran out of power and crash landed onto the mountains of the Yellow Valley, crushing their engine's main power supply: The Energy Crystals, rare and powerful materials that come in five different types.

When the Nova Champions arrive to see what was going on, Mikey and Minty, the main engineers of Willie, requested our heroes to find them new Energy Crystals to power the ship back up. In return, since their original Captain died during the crash, they would allow the Nova Champions to become the new Captains of Airship Willie.

Knowing that the ship could lead them to areas that Leondias wouldn't be able to warp them to, the Nova Champions agreed to help the Kobolds bring Willie back up in the skies.

Will the Nova Champions find the five types of Energy Crystals?

Silversky, a floating paradise that only a few can enter. Many races reside on the island, free from monsters.

One day, the ruler of Silversky, Princess Veronica, descended down to the Pinkleo Kingdom to find a worthy suitor. However, she came at a bad time, as the war against the invading Darkstorm Empire had only just begun.

She went into hiding for a few days, only to be captured by Vladimir's troops to become eventually enslaved. However, the adventuring hero, Lenard, came to her rescue, and selflessly escorted her to Pinkleo Castle Town to safety. This made Veronica develop feelings for the war hero.

Lenard would later go on and defeat the Emperor in a one-on-one duel, ending the war upon Vladimir's surrender.

Lenard returned with a hero's welcome, being crowned King for his heroic efforts. His heroism captured Princess Veronica's heart completely, where she decided to have him as her suitor. The two were married, promoting Veronica to Queen. The two would eventually bring their daughter, Princess Sabrina, to the world of Cometia.

Five years later, Queen Veronica began to feel homesick, feeling that she abandoned her position the as ruler of Silversky. Fearing that the land was brought to chaos, Veronica said her goodbyes to her husband and daughter, telling them that her land needs her more than ever.

She promised to return to Pinkleo in 10 years once everything was in order, giving Lenard her Carbuncle Shield as a token of her promise. She also told him that if she doesn't return in 10 years, gather and send the Nova Champions to find and help her.

A decade has passed, and Queen Veronica has yet to return. However, Lenard received a message from Veronica herself, telling him that Silversky was just fine for a decade, until powerful monsters began spawning in Silversky.

Knowing that the Darkstorm Empire's ritual was performed by their daughter's doppelganger, Lenard suspects that the monsters in Silversky are from the ritual itself. Fearing for the life of his beloved Queen, Lenard begs for the Nova Champions to go to Silversky, stop the invasion, and save Veronica.

Will the Nova Champions end the invasion?

Professor Howard, an archeologist from Nugget Town, has heard about an ancient rune high up on Titan Mountain, containing some secrets about some ancient treasure.

Howard found the rune some time ago, an object known as the Runex Cube. It seemed to be a puzzle that was beyond his expertise to solve. One day, the Nova Champions arrived and examined the Runex Cube, wondering how the artifact worked. Knowing the runic markings on the cube, Daxon solved the puzzle, which revealed another puzzle.

Upon translating the runic markings that had engraved into the artifact, each side of the Runex Cube had a hint of six separate treasures. Each treasure would contain a hint at another treasure within a chain of treasures, leading to a sacred treasure that acts as a key to an even greater sacred treasure. Once all great sacred treasures are gathered, the greatest sacred treasure will have its location revealed.

Eager to find all of the sacred treasures, Howard asked the Nova Champions to help him find the artifacts. Thinking that the greatest sacred treasure might be just an ordinary treasure, our heroes had to hold the offer until further notice.

However, two Varanuses of separate unknown types, Seth and Themis, showed up and told the Nova Champions that they too are after the sacred treasures. They demanded our heroes to stay out of their way and not take any sacred treasure that would help them find the greatest sacred treasure. Their hostility and suspicious goals lead the Nova Champions to change their minds and accepted Howard's request to find the treasures.

Will the Nova Champions find the greatest sacred treasure before Seth and Themis do?

The following trailer contains some spoilers for the game. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't watch this trailer.

Clementine, an unusually friendly female pirate, found a map depicting a set of islands known as the Tryfui Archipelago. According to the map, it held a tree within Tryfui Central that grew fruit that was thought to have been extinct for over a century: Luminberries.

Luminberries were star-shaped fruit originating from Greenwood that the elves used as a symbol of harmony between them and the human mages. However, when Gullveig first terrorized Greenwood, she burnt all the trees that grew the fruit within the forest land, ridding Luminberries from the face of Cometia.

However, ever since Gullveig's attack, one fairy who had one surviving Luminberry fled to an archipelago far away from Greenwood. She planted the fruit in the central island, where it would grow and produce Luminberries once it was matured.

To make sure the tree wouldn't be destroyed, the fairy sealed the growing tree behind a barricade that can only be opened by its six keys, the Crystal Fruit. Each fruit was placed on the six islands that surrounded the center island.

Nobody knew of the archipelago's existence, until Clementine found a map within a bottle made by the fairy herself before she passed away. A week later, on that very day, she came across the Nova Champions. She eagerly requested them to help her find the last Luminberry tree in the Tryfui Archipelago.

As the Nova Champions accepted her request, the group boarded onto Clementine's ship. However, as they sailed for the Tryfui Archipelago, the ship got washed up by a sudden hurricane, causing the entire group to go overboard and separate.

Rover wakes up and finds himself, Sabrina, and Clementine all in the Tryfui Center of the Tryfui Archipleago, where the barricade was located. With the ship still in-tact, the three all began to head for the six islands that surrounded the center island and begin their search for the Crystal Fruit and the other Nova Champions.

Will they find their friends and recover the Luminberries?

Many shops had their accessories stolen, as did the people who had valuable jewelry. Nobody knew who's behind all the stealing, except for one shopkeeper. The Southern Pinkleo Accessory Shop owner found a tuft of hair left by the thief themselves. The Nova Champions decided to investigate the problem by finding out who the thief really is.

Our heroes brought the tuft of hair to Morgan to analyze it ala chemical concoctions. The result was that the thief was a female Felis, but not just any ordinary female Felis.

As the Nova Champions pondered on how they're going to find the thief, they suddenly saw someone leaping out of Bayou Shop. The shopkeeper confirmed that they've just had some of their merchandise stolen by the thief, who accidentally left a note behind during her escape. The note was actually a map of Cometia, marked with shops and towns she had robbed, and places she hid.

Now knowing all of the possible locations of where the thief could be hiding at, the Nova Champions decided to find her hiding places to not only prevent her from getting away, but also unmask her to see who she really is.

Will they stop the thief?

Starlight Edition
This expansion of Nova Champions is the exact same game as the original, but with exclusive new content that will be added via seasonal updates. It will launch with the first update already in-tact within the game.

Playful Shadows
Succubi, an all-female race of shapeshifting demons. They have the ability to steal the life force from monsters and transfer them into the other races as a way of healing their wounds.

However, because of their demonic blood, they were shunned by society, thinking that they steal the life force of men as a source of food, creating a stereotype they find offensive. With these claims spreading like wildfire, all succubi decided to use their shapeshifting ability to blend into society to live their lives.

One day, the leaders of the succubus race, the Seven Succubus Sisters, found out about the Nova Champions being chosen and gathered for their quest to stop a great evil. Wanting the heroes of legend to succeed, the sisters all decided to craft some items that will help them on their quest.

However, they needed some materials in order to complete their items. So they called over 50 of their kind to find and gather the materials for them. But because succubi thrive on fun, their kind all lacked the motivation to find or deliver the materials they were sent to collect for them.

That's where the sisters all decided to call the Nova Champions themselves to not only find their kin, but also find them to test their intelligence to win their items.

Will the Nova Champions win their prize?

Playful Shadows will come with the following content:
-New side quests. (Must clear Chapter 11 to unlock)
-2 new accessories.
-4 new weapons.
-1 new Summon.

Nova Champions: Starlight Edition will be releasing this Halloween.

Story: Cometia, a world ruled by eight different nations.

The royal kingdom of Pinkleo.

The magical forest of Greenwood, home of the elves and mages.

The southern tropical seaside corner of Blueon.

The enduring Yellow Valley, home of the hard-working dwarves.

The cold icecap lands of Cyania, home of many humanoid animal-like races.

The peaceful highlands of Mount Orangenesis.

The mysterious northern island of Violeton.

And the adaptable citizens of the island of Redopolis.

However, one unknown nation, known as the Darkstorm Empire, favoured war and chaos being brought throughout the land. Their ruler, Emperor Vladimir, wishes for Cometia to fall into total darkness once all the threats to his armies have been eliminated.

However, there are legends about a team of eight heroes from each nation joining together to fight against the forces of darkness, called the Nova Champions.

Are the legends about these heroes true? If they are, will they stop the Darkstorm Empire's tyranny?

Go on a quest as the destined heroes to stop the evil Darkstorm Empire from conquering Cometia. Travel the lands, search for treasures, and fight vicious monsters to become stronger. Visit the towns when you need supplies, rest, or craft items from the materials you have gathered.

Let's meet the chosen Nova Champions themselves.

The main hero of the story. A selfless, yet, naive B-Class student of the Redopolis Academy, but he's also the childhood friend of Princess Sabrina, daughter of the current ruler of the Pinkleo Kingdom, King Lenard. However, there's more to Rover that he's unaware of. In combat, Rover is a jack-of-all-trades, but master to nothing. As a magic knight, he exceeds in both combat and magic, and is the only one who can cast Summons. As Rover himself would say, "he can do anything."

He may look like a rouge archer from Blueon, but despite his attitude, Brandon has a troubled past. He's on a quest that only concerns himself. While he has no support skills in combat, Brandon can learn to hit multiple foes at once, or hit them multiple times. He's quick to the draw, but can't seem to take a heavy hit.

Cousin to Princess Sabrina. Despite being of royal blood, Petunia chose to become a healer of the Royal Family, thus, inheriting the title of "Lady". And as a healer, Petunia is all about support. From healing her party's HP, boosting their defences and magic, and even getting rid of status problems. She can only learn a few Light elemental offensive spells as she grows stronger.

An apprentice mage from Greenwood, under the sorceress Morgan's teachings. Despite her intelligence, Grace is rather shy and awkward to talk to, but she is willing to help those in need. Her magic is no joke, as her offensive spells can hit hard. Grace specializes in all six of the main elements: Fire, Ice, Thunder, Wind, Water, and Earth.

He was raised by the dwarves of the Yellow Valley when he was a child. When he was a teenager, York moved to Gladiatopia to join Gladiator Games, hoping to become the next champion. Despite his amazing strength, York is currently a greenhorn. And speaking of strength, York's got muscle when it comes to combat, and said muscle can help him take a hit. But only if those hits were physical, since he cannot resist against magic attacks that well. He may be a heavy-hitter, but York's also heavy on his legs, so keep in mind that he may move last during a turn.

One of Violeton's best ninjas of the Orchid Clan, supposedly the right hand of her sensei, Master Mayonaka. Despite her beautiful looks, Violet seems to be cold-hearted towards others that aren't part of her clan. In battle, Violet is the fastest, can steal items from enemies, and is the only one who can learn Dark and Poison attacks. Despite having a plethora of skills, Violet's strength and magic are below average, and she definitely cannot afford to take a hit.

As you know, Cyania has multiple humanoid animal-like races. Cyrena here is a half-Felis, part human, and part Felis, the cat race. She's playful and likes to socialize, but is rather rash with her actions. As part-Felis, Cyrena is quick, but her skills as a brawler made her a quick hard-hitter. She can even hit a foe twice when she attacks. But since Felises are also frail, Cyrena's defences are quite low, making her a glass cannon when it comes to fighting.

A young Saimiri Wukong  Monk-in-training from Mount Orangenesis. Orion hopes to one day become the strongest warrior of Cometia. In battle, this monkey can hold his own when it comes to fighting, especially when his agility is top-notch. Though the magic abilities he'll learn may not do much damage to stronger foes unless his magic was strengthened up beforehand.

The world calls for your help, it is your destiny to fight a great evil.

Final game is only available for Windows.
