I really like the cute pixel art! It's a very simple clicker game and a bit short. But the Tamagotchi vibe is really cool.

Stunning graphics for a game jam! You can clearly see that 5 talented people worked on this game. I also really like the music and sound design in general.

The early game does feel a bit random with where and when galaxies spawn and it's way harder to progress when you are moving too much. The late game however gets a bit too easy with the increase in size and most importantly vision. I feel like you can pretty much survive forever once you hit a size of ~50.

Game is really fun and polished, though. I'm just being a tad harsher on the small details as I want to consider the group size and that there isn't really anything else to critize.

Good job on a really nice looking game!

The game has a fun interpretation of the theme! I really like the visuals. There's lots of detail.

I will neither add nor remove any points for the ai song as I really dislike the use of it but it's also too subjective to note it negatively. The click sound is a bit too high for my taste and starts o hurt a bit after many clicks.

Execution is very cute, though and I really enjoyed what I saw.

I would have really loved to try out the game some more but the camera bug makes it a bit hard.

Pulling yourself towards a platform feels pretty good but the swinging felt a bit hard to control/ to gain height. May be that hard because of the cam restriction, though. I could see how the game is actually fun without the cam being bugged and I think a fix would be worth it!

Edit: oh and the character model is really funny :)

Also I was able to glitch myself out of bounds with the red spell lol

I unfortunatly do not see the theme implemented at all. You could maybe argue that the lava grows??

I really hate that you did not credit the assets you used for the visual side of the game and even sold it as yours in the credits. That's really bad manners in the field of art, especially when the assets are free adn well known.

The game itself does not seem to scale with refresh rate. I had to change my monitor to 60hz for it to be playable as it was way too fast and sensitive on 200hz.

Idea is a somewhat fun, basic platformer but please refrain from selling game assets as yours.

Fun tower defense idea while implementing the growth theme!

I felt like the progress was a bit slow for my liking. The plants seem to to take quite a bit to be harvestable and there's a lot of uptime between waves in which you cannot do much.

The art looks really good and the rat's pretty cute (also nice to have a rat dancing over my defeat lol)

Great progress!

Choosing and playing cards has a pretty simple Balatro vibe which I like.

The cards move out of screen when having too many in hand and I thought it was a bit hard to place them into a slot sometimes (as if the hitbox for it was very small). It was also very easy to reach each days' goal and even if scoring nothing I could've survived at least 2 days at some point.

Special effects for scoring would make this game feel way more alive but that's obviously not to be expected on a short jam like this.

Great work!

Actually really fun idea for some long endless runs! I could really see myself playing a more polished and fleshed out version of this.

I'm not sure wheter it was the telepathy upgrade I chose or not but the punch hitbox felt a bit weird sometimes.

Neat little game!

The game felt quite fun to play and wasn't too easy for a game jam.

Visuals and sound are really nice for the limited time as well. The idea is very unique from what I saw.

Overall pretty good and full game!

Fun little game!

The game art and sounds were super funny :)

It is fun for a bit but I find it a tad bit hard.

The energy bar feels very restricting on the players' ability to defend themself and the vines one hitting also feels a bit unfair in my opinion. Some life regeneration items could be a nice addition as to not punish the players' mistakes too hard.

Overall good concept and pretty good progress in the given time!

The game seems to be restricted and cannot be tested :(

The game definetly has a fun idea for a puzzle game!

The plants growing and overall level progression felt a tad to slow which artificially stretches the playtime of each level. That slow speed also make a full level reset really punishing. The plants were sometimes planted in the air because I think the seeds can collide with the player.

I liked the simplicity of the assets, although the color palette was a bit of an eyesore. Level design was pretty fun, though and I especially liked how there are multiple solutions to one problem!

Really fleshed out game for the 7 day timespan!

I really like that you don't get punished for failing a task in the regards to the game jam setting. The idea and execution was really fun and I can see the game reaching a top 3 finish at least.

Keep up the work!

I really like the idea of controling the plant as it also seems to have a mind of its own!

The game and control speed is definetly affected by the refresh rate (I tried the game on 200Hz and 60Hz and the difference is noticable) I don't quite know how this is handled in Godot but the equivalent in unity would be scaling the growth and input controls by Time.deltaTime.

Other than that I really enjoyed the game, especially the looks of the plant growing were really interesting!

It's a cute little idea!

I saw you saying that you don't know a lot about coding and that's fine. As you said yourself, you learnt something while creating this game and that's what this jam is for!

Just keep learning new stuff step by step and get familiar with your game engine and you'll get better in no time :)

AM I KILLING PEOPLE TO GET THEIR COINS???

I guess that would make sense as the character is supposed to be a zombie later on. Game definetly has some foundations set for the future but a couple of important mechanics don't work yet. Tools don't seem to matter as I can punch stuff with an empty hand and the finished structures don't do anything yet (At least I don't think they do). Because of this the game lacks a game loop but as this game is probably one of your first projects it's a reasonable beginning.

As for sugestions I'd like to have a full screen option as it is a bit hard to see details in the browser at this scale and creating a basic logic for the tools would be great as well.

Other than that a good start! just keep learning stuff and you'll make progress along the way :)

Actually the first game I tried in this jam. It feels really polished given the time of the jam and the visuals give a very cool vibe.

It first took me a bit to know what to do but that was just me being dumb lol.

Also, the whole visuals give me the markiplier horror game vibes which I really like.

Really fun game to play when you're bored!

I have gotten this feedback pretty early on, I believe. I'll definetly add it once I get back working on it if I don't forget (which will probably be after the jams voting phase)

Thanks for the positive feedback!

Thank you for the positive feedback!

You have indeed played the release version of the game. I am planning to upload one update in which I fix the sound being disabled automatically upon startup. And yes, the pink sphere was left in unintentionally. It just marks one of the checkpoints for the yellow person.

Really fun idea to collect the growth and giving it to the tree! Didn't really see that until I wathced the video you provided. Climbing got a bit exhausting after a bit of playing but nothing major.

The visuals look really cute and the music is fun too!

It's a really well fleshed out and fun to play puzzle game. Unfortunatly I can not see the theme being implemented at all. Still really solid!

There is sound but it's not active upon scene load I am afraid. It should be there once you open the menu by pressing either P or Escape! I really need to fix it in a future patch.

Thanks for testing, though!

For some reason easy feels harder than the rest lol. Game felt pretty polished though and the art is pretty neat! I think some death sound and a slightly faster death animation would be nice.

Overall really hard to beat but pretty fun!

Did not expect to have this much fun when first seeing the game! The game mechanic is so simple but so fun even if a bit hard at times.

The visuals and music are stunning given the timeframe, especially the cover art! Unfortunatly I couldn't really figure out what happens really in the game. I'm able to place most of the shrooms but path shrooms don't seem to do something when trying to place them. Aside from a fire spreading I don't see anything happening for me.

The bugs are a shame as the game itself looks really promising.

I really like the use of only 2 colors. I got stuck on some edges and some elements seemed cut off sometimes.

But the gameplay is a really good idea!

The idea is cool but I am confused whether the growth is supposed to be a good or a bad thing (it definetly makes it harder to avoid obstacles but idk what the growth upgrade does). Moving feels a bit slow and it's a bit hard to really avoid obstacles at times. Nice progress in the given time, though!

That's an interesting idea for the theme! I noticed a few quirks that come from unity and I went trough at the start as well but nothing too bad. I think the concept could hugely benefit from using a grid to build stuff.

But considering this is your first game it's pretty neat. Definetly don't stop learning stuff, it's super rewarding!

The character with his animations and sound is hilarious lol. Feels a bit too punishing to reset all the progress upon death but keeping the timer but I may just be bad at the game.

Has a really eery feel to it with the sound and visual design which I like. It does feel less like a game than a video I'm watching but I like the interpretation of the theme! The increase in redactions is a nice touch as well.

Yeah, I totally agree. I wanted to introduce a lot more objectives but didn't quite have the time for it.  There are these small objectives that you can see on the top left but the execusion of them is bad due to lack of time as well (and I'm afraid the last task is lacking the timer I wanted to add lol). I'll definetly round off the game in the near future for completeness' sake.

Thank you for your feedback!

The game art and sound effects were fun! It was a bit hard at first to realise only the green droplets are bad but fine once you kow it. There wasn't too much content but that's not to be expected in a 7-day game jam.

Really good work for your relatively little experience :)

I love the frog sprite and pixely, 8bit sound design. I found it a tad hard to see where I am aiming at times but I got used to the small fly. You could say that it's too easy but apart from the healing item I think it is fine for a game jam.

It was fun walking around and eating space lizards for a bit!

Amazing first game with a closed and logical game loop! It felt a bit repetetive to walk to the mushrooms on later days but it wasn't too bad. I was a bit confused as to what the snail does but figured it out soon enough.

The art and sound design is really nice and I especially like the small details like the animated buttons. Pretty fun quick game.

The art looks really cute and the same goes for the music! I think it took me the first day 'till I realised how to make and sell boucuets and I'm not really sure how to replentish my flower stock. Days seemed a little short for my liking but that makes for a really fun quick test as well.

Overall pretty game and a good beginning for the game loop!

Very good looking art! I think the controls and wrapping around the screen felt really smooth.

I thought the spider was a bit hard to dodge and I'm not sure if the snake was meant to grow with each food eaten but I didn't really notice any growth.

Overall a pretty neat game :)

Balloon life = happy life

"Chicken..." whole neighbourhood gone

The rules state that you have to "Start the game when the Jam start[s]". So it should not be allowed.
