You see, few people take the time to really question: "How could I make the experience of AI chatbots WORSE"

Having people (or... maybe they are AI's that are given robot bodies? Pretty much the same thing anyhow) Need to log in and answer inane ai chatbot prompts so that way they can get more time to spend in their physical human body is a wild idea, but it is equal parts harrowing and interesting. Really gets to the heart of all the wild shit people ask AI chatbots for, from wanting the chatbot to provide them therapy and moral support (don't even need to mention the services that are entirely about having AI do that) to having AI generate things that a human would be better off pondering, or shit for business ideas.

Regardless. I found the game interesting and I enjoyed my time with it.

Really enjoyed this. I loved how quick and snappy the fight scenes were, and how Nikko got better with each fight. I also think the sounds and music were really nice additions to the game, and played well with it. Mala did a great job with the art as well, everyone was so pretty. Even when Nikko was really damaged, I think she looked really awesome.
The ending was also really really great. The ways in which that damage will be permanent. The sense of self as she turns into something that truly is only robotic. But that's ok. Nikko can manufacture the data.

"It tastes like blood and I am happy."

Hell yeah!

Thank you for your kind words basicbean! This one has definitely been a game that got people squirming XD - but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you very  much for your kind words, my friend. I really am glad that this game made you feel so seen.

Thank you for your kind words (rombuffer went wild with the audio work and mastering and such). Wishing you luck at your next dentist trip!

Heh. Thank you for your kind words pilot, I shall also hope for the best for you. (I also need to schedule a dentist appointment tbh XD)

Hell yeah, happy you had fun!

Hell yeah! Happy you enjoyed!

Hell yeah, very happy to hear it. Thank you very much for your kind words.

People really do be getting wacky with it, don't they?

Anyway, I'm glad that I was able to host, and that so many wonderful games were submitted to the jam. (Some planning for my jams is allowed in advance by the way. Just don't start writing or making assets for the game until the jam starts and you're fine)

Hell yeah!

From the moment when Char says that she wanted to put her mom's finger in her mouth, it was clear the dynamic that was going to be present in the game.

I do find the premise intriguing, the desire for normality while disabled, the complicated layers of the characters happening here, and clearly so from very early on. The characterization is very strong, and so is the writing of the yearning and desire, both the kinds that Char has yet to fully understand, and the kinds that her mom understands very well.

I appreciate the buildup of the yearning, the tension, the fear, as both characters grapple with their desires in different ways.

And then I ended up not making any notes between that point from fairly early on in the story, to the end. All of the different elements come together excellently in this game - from the writing to the art to the music. Beyond that, the story itself is written very well and covers a wide range of emotions. Pain, guilt, shame, sadness, longing, and love, all blended together in this relationship that Char and Noel worry might be wrong, might hurt the other, but which ends on notes of pure joy and happiness. I think that this VN really gets into some of those complicated feelings, but I feel like the relationship presented here is one that is able to work the way it does because of the reliance the characters have on each other due to Charlotte's disability. It's much easier to forego thoughts of a normal life if it was something Char had already been locked out of - and that's the angle the VN leans into.

Overall, I just think this VN was excellently done.

Ok. I love that you gave J the lil… moe candycorn fang. And the whole mixed candies aspect is very fun, immediately making the mind wonder what J did to get them all, once the MC expresses that this is strange.

I enjoyed all the different ways for the encounter to go wrong. It’s really easy to get J to kill you immediately, and there’s plenty of opportunities to get things to go poorly even as things progress.

However, I also enjoyed the options to get horny with J, and the different dialogues that can happen by leaning into J’s tenderness. It both utilizes a desperate desire to stay alive and also a desire to get horny haha. I also like the different options for endings and how even if you survive, there is either the layer of being a plaything or the fear that you could still end up being tortured and tormented.  .

Other than that, I liked the derangement of J. They are a bit unhinged, as you must be to kidnap candies for cannibal candy orders, but I like the surprising amount of layers provided in such a short amount of time. I also appreciated the world building added to provide depth to this candy world. The erotic and candy gore descriptions were both fun, and I enjoyed my time with the demo. I look forward to further additions to the game and other projects y’all work on.

I loved the slow beating music, the intro into this story, the scenery instantly created and made through the presentation of it all.

Excellent job of creating tension, both of mystery and sexuality, between these characters with the introduction of Carmen to the room. I love that Angela is so incredibly direct about her desire to kiss Carmen- as she must be, in a short vn like this, if you wish to include sex.

Even with the title, the main menu screen, everything that gives me hints as to what shall happen in this VN... that first sex scene is still a surprise.

From there, the VN goes pretty full force on the eroticism until the end. I think that the moments where the two royals need to have some decorum provides nice moments to recollect and breathe until the next sex scene. I think that the idea of a kind of social horror in the sense of standard hierarchies of power being utterly waylaid so an empress can go doggy mode and get fucked like a hound in heat is an amusing one. "This visual novel would make the head of a medieval peasant explode" type of energy.

I think that the punk music for the sex scenes (and all the other times it was used, which was most of the vn lol) was an excellent choice. I think it taps into the reality of these royals wanting something much more carnal and animalistic than proper decorum. They want to fuck nasty with it.

I don't play these kinds of games too often, but I enjoyed this! I liked trying to figure out the correct path but also enjoyed getting every single death and ending in the game.

While there wasn't anything explicit, I think there is an erotic element here for folks who enjoy bad ends, snuff, and transformations. (My personal favorite was the one where you get turned into goop when you click on the cloning tube twice, heh.)

LLA began with a bit of a slow burn as the characters were introduced, but then around the 1/3rd mark started to pick up the pace, and I feel like a bit over the halfway mark the game hit its full stride.

These pilots are such excellent creatures. Green always wishes to keep the peace, never wants to say no. Purple wants to have any sort of agency in a world that has stripped them bare of nearly every shred of it. Purple can't even cum without doing so in the mech that has a port which slots into their crotch. Red is the "good one", the kiss ass, the one who self selects to be the team leader even when nobody asked. Blue has the trauma and the bunny and has probably died 500 times.

Eagle eyed viewers will notice that Blue's pilot designation number (shown in the top left of the screen) is way lower than that of any other pilot. Which explains why Blue is... the way that she is.

I enjoyed watching these pilots bounce off each other, the ways in which they seem to make this shitty situation... worse, actually? I also enjoyed the ero scenes, the ero horror scene, the horror scene, and the ways in which things went to shit.

I think the ensemble cast worked well for this game and I'm glad I got to see things from the perspective of all four pilots, and that there were a handful of them to see different responses to the shit pilot existence.

This game felt like a dissociative haze, which feels appropriate, considering the contents.

Honestly, some elements of what was depicted by Bonnie's experiences also made me think of DID alter switching, the way that the story would jump around and come back in moments of sexual experiences and/or trauma.

I feel like this is a story filled with hurt and trauma, something that feels like an attempt to process emotions (or is made to depict a character processing emotions) and the ending scene with the therapist judging the inclusion of a child in this, also feels reflective of the current discussions and opinions about such pieces of media. This is especially true considering the stuff that has been going on with itch and various platforms in general.

Demon nuns. They want to fuck this father. And this isn’t a half hearted affair. This includes all sorts of religious language and terms I haven’t heard in quite a while. It is fully committed to the premise, the idea, and I think that earnestness is a true strength to the game.

(Also if you are reading this and you like old saggy titties this game is for you.)

It was cute! I liked the Dynamic between Scarlet and Jack. Sometimes a lil aphrodisiac mishap is all you need to have a cute lil romance bloom haha. In many ways I feel like these two fit together like two jigsaw puzzle pieces.

I enjoyed bullet biter. I can’t deny that a part of me is reminded of the human-demon hybrids of Chainsaw Man when I was picturing the fighting and weapons on display in this VN. I think that this odd doll filled world was interesting though. A limbo that these characters are sent to by Death, their only true purpose being to die and kill others, is interesting to play with.

Also I thought the weapon sex was fun, idk how else to describe it.

The self hatred and anxiety thoughts and writing in this were so potent it gave me anxiety in my own physical body when I read this, which is honestly impressive and speaks to the work/writing. Anyway, I did find it interesting overall - and I am curious to see where it would go/how it would end, if you finish this.

I think the idea of someone becoming so fixated on their ability to know how people die that she becomes fixated on ensuring they die their deaths or else she feels like the blood will always be on her hands is an interesting idea to play with.

The character customization music goes hard. also that is a very nice character customizer.

I enjoyed this, the slow horror of the realization that the mc is trapped here with the warden, for who knows how long. The variety of choices and the build of the tension and horror until it feels like the mc is shattered over and over again. well done.

I found the game interesting, exploring politics, nuclear and missile threats that lock countries into stalemates or else guarantee that they shall destroy each other, a mutiny of the conscripts that are treated like they are worth nothing at all. Very interesting indeed.

Metal Gear Solid talks about this stuff in specific a fair amount, so I thought of the ways in which it tackles the subject, but I think you did an excellent job of commenting on it yourself.

I felt like getting the ending for the first option... first (lol) improved my experience of the other options a fair amount.

I enjoyed the happy ending the most, honestly. I liked these two characters having their stories intertwine in such an interesting way, and how they escaped the structure of their fairy tale fate.

I dig the internal struggle displayed to be interesting, a desire for something different but an eventual feeling of inability to actually influence things in a meaningful way.

(Also, maybe this is just because I engage with plural stuff a lot more often now, but I ended up just reading this all as a plural thing. One alter fronting after being gone a long time, feeling like nothing is right, trying to make sense of things, trying to find their own happiness. It ended up being my main interpretation of the story, heh.)

Artwork isn't required, but ideally the game has one or more of the following, in addition to the writing:
sounds
music
art
choices
But even then.... those things aren't strictly necessary.

Thank you for your kind words. Glad the writing hit home for you!

Jesus. The degloving scene really was wild, and the sounds added in. Ough. Not many gore scenes are able to really get me, but this one was something. Fuck. Excellent work. I think the gore was really really strong here.

I think that commentary on ABO society and the way the Omega would feel, the forced claiming bite, etc, is something that would be even more potent for a major fan of ABO, but even with my more modest knowledge of things, I was able to enjoy it. The part I enjoyed the most by far was the gore scenes, but also I am a bit of a gore freak at the end of the day. I think that the game steadily felt stronger and stronger to me, with the degloving as the climax and then what follows as a solid crescendo.

From the start, I love the edits to the main menu gui to feel fitting for the story I am about to get into. As often as I neglect it myself (unless someone else is coding it lol) main menus are a very good way to get a player into the mindset of the game. I then also really like the angel statue gui when starting the game proper.

After I finished the demo defiant path, I feel really intrigued as to how it would play out (but also i appreciate that the end of it tells me how to get the passive ending.) I also like the end of demo collection of stats, and information on the route chosen.

It almost makes me think of games like "Long Live The Queen" - where there are a lot of choices and routes, but death is surprisingly easy to find, and it is uncertain which options will lead you down the path of a bad end.

I tried to look around for some other endings then, but was uncertain of which path would lead me to what. I ended up cracking open the RenPy files afterwards, and feel even more intrigued by the ending information, because, understandably so, any option has its problems - being kidnapped isn't an easy or good experience to have. (I did also see some further documents and writing on endings and such, but didn't read much of it so I don't spoil myself - because I do want to play the full version when it is done.)

Overall, I enjoyed my experience with the game, and I am looking forward to the finished version, along with other projects you work on/make.

I hope more people play this game, because I really enjoyed it a lot!

One of the games that left me with a moment where I was simply mouth agape. Flabbergasted but so curious as to where things would go, my open mouth forming a smile as I see it all play out.

I think it's wonderful that such a short game was able to land its punches so well. Its pacing is brisk without feeling breakneck, it lets each idea settle before moving on to the next one. The scenes of bodily harm are effective, getting some good prose and descriptions in. Comedy, discomfort, horror, and a gooner trying to get off - all blend together into an experience that touches all the bases I was hoping for when I booted up the game. I think it all came together exceptionally well.

This music and art fucks insanely hard.

As for the writing, I am a torture and gore aficionado, so its a spot where I end up with a lot of thoughts and opinions, but I enjoyed my time with this game a lot.

I appreciated this game a lot for the different elements of things like how, for example, Marshal was RIGHT for the sake of the game. Make a girl jealous, focus on one, and you get the ending for the other. I also feel like the writing throughout the entire game was very strong. I enjoyed it just as much as the bad ends, or sometimes even more, just because seeing Damien as such a bumbling, extremely mid guy was amusing. I also appreciate that, unlike some dating sim games, you get to see most things for all the girls, and even get to have two endings from one set of choices. It was satisfying to see it play out that way, instead of getting locked into a route really early on.

The ending genuinely left me with my mouth agape. wow. The art and noise effects were really well done, the ideas of the noise, of it being a curse, the utter sadness of the isolation and the way Ellie treated the main character... Really, really excellent.

Really really enjoyed this game. Had an extremely hard time because this was one of the games in my handful of favorites. I really really hope you continue making games though, I loved this one a lot. Here are my notes from when I first played the game:

Alright, this was pretty epic. Had some gore descriptions that got me to have feelings and sensations, had wound fucking, rip and tear let’s see some guts, etc etc. I liked how the best ending was to do some good torture to this person but not kill him and then Jasper and Egon get to have a better quality of life. Short sweet and full of excellent gore, torture, and art. Balancing damage and safety with Egon’s annoyance was also a fun experience.

In all honesty, I took a lot of notes for this game. I played it pretty early on in the jam, when my notes were copious. so, let me just put some selected sections here:

Immediately taken by a "holy shit" (pos) feeling of what has been done to the ui. THIS IS A GAME MADE IN RENPY and yet it feels utterly distinct. I love the screen transition, maybe an edit to the built in transition that pulls down the new image from the top, but instead it loads new screens in chunks... excellent stuff, I love the craft and attention that went into the gui, the distinct monochrome (or maybe even just pure white and black?) palette the game has.

Beyond the religiosity feels mysterious and unclear at first, but Mona and Lave are steeped in a weight, the uncertain thing that shall happen which will change everything - it draws me in, makes me extremely curious.

I love the way this all builds, the fear, uncertainty, worry, these delicious and excellently written emotions. To experience the sensation of being heralded as the keeper of a god, a sleeping entity within you that will one day shed your skin and awaken - to know that and know that one day you must give birth to this god. Lave seemed to handle everything well, to have joy and happiness before, but it all comes to a head, what his purpose is, what he has been molded for, in this... shrine, built for him. As Lave and Mona eat their final "meal" - I just really appreciate the delicate touch employed in these emotions and the depiction of them, building up a genuine sense of humanity in these characters.

I really loved the pain, anguish, torment, gore provided in this story. I really feel like there were many strong elements to this VN. Writing, descriptions, themes, there was so much working together to create something really excellent here.

This game was really deserving of a winning spot. Just truly excellent work here.

Thank you for your kind words Pilot! Very happy that this was able to give you such a visceral experience!

Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed.

(Also, if you explore VNs more, you'll find other VNs that are "kinetic novels" or "linear", meaning that there aren't any choices. Many people think of VNs as only the kind that has choices though, so I understand the expectation.)
