All the AI speak gave me a chuckle. I enjoyed this game. I winced every time Snowy said "You'll always be my special girl."

I enjoyed this. Interesting concept, executed wonderfully.

It hurts so much. We can all get so desperate for love, so absolutely desperate to feel like someone is going to wrap you up in the blanket of love and kindness and everything is going to be ok. Some people would do anything to feel that.

Made me cry, something so rare for a game to make me do. beautiful work.

She was loved.

Being a dog i am glad I was turned into a dog.

Thank you for this comment, I truly do appreciate it. It gave me a nice laugh and brought a little brightness to my day.

Reading this made me cringe with the pain and rawness contained inside. I consider this the work of an excellent VN. Great work!

And this is how I found out I forgot to add the winners to the page even though I said it on discord and bsky. Oops! Thank you for posting this though! The jam page has been updated to show the winners.

1 - No word count minimum

2 - There are no explicit rules for what can't be included. I am a gore writer who frequently writes about taboo stuff. I'd love to see some entries that really fly the freak flag high.

3 - the answer you got on bsky seems to be correct. Shifting isn't a requirement by any means. Women aren't required to have knots, or they could have them, your choice. It really is all fine as long as you feel like you have elements of Omegaverse in your project.

4 - Yup! that's perfectly fine.

5 - A game jam comes from the musical term of jamming it out, from my knowledge. What this means, is that you are making a project (for this one, it does not need to be a game.) during a specific period of time, and in some cases, totally from scratch. People would have in person game jams that were 24 hours long, or 3 days long, and just make a game during that time. So a Jam, in this sense, is just. making a project in a specific amount of time.

I am also just going to add the resource page I made on my website. I tried to just cram as many resources onto this website as I could. I'll probably end up adding even more sometime.:

Every choice is an implication. Either you can be a bystander, or a perpetrator, or some mixture of both. But prisons were made to chew people up and spit them out, and the prison guards are just a part of the beast.

From what I know, even if my knowledge is not complete, this seems like a realistic and grounded story, and one which is well written and crafted. I look forward to seeing this completed.

Felt like genuinely sweet romance. Sometimes depressed anxious people just need to allow other people to do the things that will make them happy. And sometimes that just means getting your soul sucked out.

I find it interesting that the series is meant to be played out of order. But I assumed 0 meant.... the origin. But it's hard to tell what comes first. Especially because the story already feels so full. Having read Glow of Honeydew as well, I can see how these kinds of girls. Girl who longs for touch because she is so lonely, and girl who wants to please so desperately, how these sorts of girls seem to come naturally to you, in terms of writing. And you write them so well.

I would not be surprised if I saw more girls like this, more pairings like this, in your other work. I think you have a way of writing stories that feels almost dreamlike. There is a certain surreal haze to them. It creates a quality I enjoy. There are games from so many people I have met and interacted with in my mind of games I want to play, and each and every time I am surprised and filled with joy to see what people have made.

I am happy that I am starting this journey into squid girl world. I want to see what else it holds.

(1 edit)

I so rarely think of the idea to take my own photos for a project. Lap has an excellent eye for photography and it powers up the entire experience. But beyond that, Lap is able to write something that is extremely difficult - making seeing into the future into a story that still makes sense and doesn't feel filled with total plot contrivance. The ability to do this with an idea that so often feels like it turns plots into swiss cheese... this truly shows Lap's skill and power as a writer. Excellent work.
All of this is augmented even further with the awesome Jazz by cvne cultist, just strengthening everything more and more.

Postcard from Brentville has a lot of hurt to it. I think that the way it creates an emotional reaction in the reader is very excellent. I write so much gore, but for me, something like this can be much more emotionally effecting.

The other thing I think about, is how much this reads like a plural/DID sort of story. I think about the different aspects of Diedre, how the tantrum is called "the brat's tantrum"... I can see how that could get very tied up in dolls and kig, since it is a very physical way to change yourself, embody someone else, look totally different. The trauma experienced by Diedre seems super intense as well. Children are not made for an isolationist life.

Thank y'all for making this game. Glad I got to read it.

Really really enjoyed this. Truly a game for the freaks. The writing was awesome, the art and direction was also incredible. Even the design of the weapons is something I really enjoyed, real sicko choices on every level and I think that is excellent to see.

If this had been made within the 6 week timeframe (and was still close to this) it would have had my vote for a win. But since this was an honorary submission, I hope you will accept an honorary win. Great work, and I hope you make even more stuff that cuts deep and to the core, blood spraying out wildly, just like this.

I love the clicking sounds so much. But also I think that you did a lot with your 6 CGs and your 50 words. Very well done piece of micro fiction.

Even if the specifics of our experiences are different, I definitely understand and feel what it was like to be muzzled like this. To try to present in such a way. I mean, even still, I muzzle myself in scenarios where I present in my job as my "work-sona".

Being an it/its dog with all my heart the way I am is the thing that freed me from my muzzle in many ways. I hope that you find your happiness, Anemone.

Thank you very much for your kind words.

This truly was one of my VNs that had the most visceral reactions, heh.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Thank you for your kind words.

Honestly, this is one of the games I have been pondering a follow up to. We'll see what that looks like, if I end up making one, heh.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Thankfully these games are made sacrifice free - but you could always take a stab at making a visual novel of your own!

Thank you for your kind words, and I'm glad this story had such an impact on you.

Thank you very much, and I was very happy to participate hehe.

Thank you very much for your kind words Kastel. The whole team went wild with it haha.

Your submission has been repeatedly removed, as the thumbnail looked to be AI generated, it did not look like it was a visual novel from the screenshots description and you tube video, and also it did not seem to include or focus on yuri.

Thank you for your kind words. Also, feel free to share that fanart or send me a link to it, @ me on bsky, whatever works really. I'd love to see it.

Really really excellent work here.

Yearning, exploration of femininity through kigu, the perfection that feels impossible to actually display with the body, and the way things get steamy but still leave room to imagine how it plays out (all while still feeling satisfying to read).

This did a lot in a very short time.

Operation that gives you ball joints.

Trying to be a human is very hard. Sometimes it is easier to simply become a doll, or maybe a kind of creature.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I am incredibly happy with all the love and effort put into this game. I'm glad it was such an intense and moving experience for you, I always enjoy making art that really brings out emotions in a reader.

You see, few people take the time to really question: "How could I make the experience of AI chatbots WORSE"

Having people (or... maybe they are AI's that are given robot bodies? Pretty much the same thing anyhow) Need to log in and answer inane ai chatbot prompts so that way they can get more time to spend in their physical human body is a wild idea, but it is equal parts harrowing and interesting. Really gets to the heart of all the wild shit people ask AI chatbots for, from wanting the chatbot to provide them therapy and moral support (don't even need to mention the services that are entirely about having AI do that) to having AI generate things that a human would be better off pondering, or shit for business ideas.

Regardless. I found the game interesting and I enjoyed my time with it.

Really enjoyed this. I loved how quick and snappy the fight scenes were, and how Nikko got better with each fight. I also think the sounds and music were really nice additions to the game, and played well with it. Mala did a great job with the art as well, everyone was so pretty. Even when Nikko was really damaged, I think she looked really awesome.
The ending was also really really great. The ways in which that damage will be permanent. The sense of self as she turns into something that truly is only robotic. But that's ok. Nikko can manufacture the data.

"It tastes like blood and I am happy."

Hell yeah!

Thank you for your kind words basicbean! This one has definitely been a game that got people squirming XD - but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you very  much for your kind words, my friend. I really am glad that this game made you feel so seen.

Thank you for your kind words (rombuffer went wild with the audio work and mastering and such). Wishing you luck at your next dentist trip!

Heh. Thank you for your kind words pilot, I shall also hope for the best for you. (I also need to schedule a dentist appointment tbh XD)

Hell yeah, happy you had fun!

Hell yeah! Happy you enjoyed!

Hell yeah, very happy to hear it. Thank you very much for your kind words.
